UCLA Catering

I’ve done hundreds of events and have never had better service than with UCLA Catering. Robin is fun to work with, while also being the most organized and dependable person ever. The team there is friendly, always meets deadlines, and, as another person said, understanding of changing needs. The food is wonderful and always perfectly cooked and arranged, and the venues are lovely. We have several events each year with them, including a large dinner and I always have people tell me it’s one of the best events they’ve attended.

My Division at UCLA works with UCLA Catering every year for our Holiday Dinner and the Annual Graduation event. Charli Wong is our catering coordinator, with her expertise and guidance each step of the way is what makes our events so magical and so special.
Charli has truly gone above and beyond each time she oversees our events and I am so grateful for her help. I never have to think twice about the catering elements of our events. Their food is delicious, service is amazing.

I’ve used UCLA Catering for almost 5 years. The food is excellent. They have great salads and are very reliable. The menu is awesome, because there is a large variety of of food items that will serve every needs. I’ve used them from a party of 25 up to a part of 150 people. They have a great system of service.

We have been using UCLA Catering for years now, and I personally have had the good fortunate to experience five of them. Robin and team provide the utmost in customer service from the planning phase to delivery. They are a world-​class bunch, and I don’t want to say they are flexible, because that would undermine their policies for keeping to deadlines, but I would way they are very understanding of their clients’ changing needs and they have the amazing ability to handle wild curveballs (and we have given them PLENTY.)
Where do I start with the food? Fresh fruit, probably cut within the hour of delivery, flaky croissants, rich coffee (better than Starbucks… what???), tasty and tangy homemade guac with restaurant-​quality chips, divine dessert squares, cookies, and brownies, Chinese food that passes the test of our Mainland Chinese groups, amazing entrees, refreshing punches, and classy service all the way.

I very much appreciate the help UCLA Catering gives us every time we host an event. They are timely, professional and their food is delicious. They work with us and within our budget and have many helpful options to make our events superb! They take care of everything, set-​up and clean-​up, servers are available if needed, linens, flowers and even new ideas if we run out of them. UCLA Catering catered and managed our wedding this past weekend (Aug. 27^th) at the Grand Horizon Room in Covel Commons at UCLA. I cannot say enough about how wonderfully they managed this event. The venue was beautiful (a lovely banquet hall directly attached to a terrace that overlooks campus and beyond); everyone raved about the food; and the servers and attendants were well-​organized, fast, and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for better for this incredibly important day. Our coordinator, Jenn, was responsive (she usually responded to emails within minutes of us having sent them) and walked us through every detail, sometimes 2 or 3 times, helping make what could have been a very stressful experience really not so bad. I highly recommend them for your next event — be it a wedding or conference. The venue’s great, the food is delicious, and they are a pleasure to work with.
