Eliane Gorelik D D S.

Business Owner

Dr. Elaine Gorelik is a graduate of the UCLA School of Dentistry. Upon graduation Dr. Gorelik completed extensive post-​graduate training in complex prosthodontics, cosmetic, reconstructive, implant and laser dentistry. Dr. Gorelik’s credentials include memberships in the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Academy of Laser Dentistry, American and Academy of General Dentistry and International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology.

Dr. Gorelik has an interest and skills to treat patients in a biologic sense– understanding dental materials biocompatibility, periodontal disease process and using the safest protocols for removal of mercury.

As a part of continuing education, Dr. Gorelik and her team regularly attend seminars and conferences devoted to aesthetic dentistry, technology and general dental care. They look forward to welcoming you to the practice and getting your smile to its brightest!

I just had a root canal and new crown done. I was so nervous, then when the doctor explained to me the procedure and assured me there will be no pain, I felt better. After the procedure was completed, I couldn’t believe it… «no pain» what so ever, even after I went home and the numbness went away still «no pain». I am very happy I found this Dental office, the Doctor and the staff are very friendly and professional and knowledgeable. Also this Dental office is very clean and they use high tech Dental equipment.

Cat is out of the bag on how great Trident Dentistry is given their presumed patient load and glowing reviews, but the accolades are deserved.
If I was to imagine the perfect dental experience it would be what Dr. Gorelik’s got set-​up here I figure. Easy to set-​up appointments and payment/​insurance, clean and modern facility, skilled and not annoying assisting staff. All the employees I have seen there have been nothing short of excellent.
I’ve had bad experiences with dentists before, mostly because the experience is painful in all facets… but Trident has been nothing but good times, even when it’s the bad mouth related times. I trust Dr. Gorelik’s recommendations and her staff, and that is all that needs to be said really.
Also…they have Netflix for you to watch while you’re being worked on. As a somewhat frequent guest, this is much appreciated. I checked out ‘Master of None’ one time, and watched the entirety of «Reservoir Dogs» over the course of two visits.
A dentist with near universal praise? Believe it…

At one of my favorite places. Yes I just said that about a dental office. I just feel so at home here that it’s my place of relaxation. With blankets, Netflix and overhead tv with head phones what more can you ask for? Oh and besides having the best dentist Dr. Zarabian I have all I need from a dental office. With a friendly and welcoming staff, it’s where I recommend all my friends and family to go! Dental visits are now a pleasant experience ;)

I was referred to Trident by a friend of mine when I was frantically looking for a dentist before the end of the year (I hadn’t used my insurance benefits). When I first called they were booked on the day that I had off but they called back same day as soon as something opened up. Their follow through is amazing and they are all digital /​electronic which made life so easy. Edgar at the office sent me a link and I was able to complete all the forms online so I didn’t have to deal with paperwork when I arrived. I also wanted to make sure I did not get stuck with hidden dental bills but they followed through and checked my insurance so I knew exactly what I was in for (I have CIGNA PPO) They also sent me text messages to remind me of my appointment which is super convenient.
The day I arrived I was very impressed by the modern and clean office. Also parking in the area is SUPER easy and convenient which means I didn’t have to pay anything and I did not have to walk for blocks to get to their office.
I met Dr. Niki for the exam and she explained everything to me. She said that if I don’t understand what is going on, then she is really not doing her job so she used the xrays and pics to SHOW me what was going on, what needed to be fixed immediately and what we could «just watch» for a while. She wasn’t trying to get me to do any unnecessary dental work.
When I returned to take care of a filling, I was so impressed with her Dr Niki’s work, I did not feel the injections at all, she was careful and communicative. It also probably helped a lot that I was able to watch Netflix the entire time so I did not here the sound of the drilling.
The office has amazing follow through and patient care. I am really excited to find them and look forward to referring them to friends and family. Thank you to everyone at Trident Dentistry.

We couldn’t possibly put into words the joy and happiness that we feel when we come to Trident Cosmetic & Family Dentistry. We feel like these people have been a part of our personal friend circle forever. We would NEVER even think about referring anyone to another dental office. Dr. Elaine Gorelik, Dr, Niki, Val, Gigi, Edward, Lisa, Ivy and Marissa are absolutely the best dentistry has to offer. They are all so friendly, caring, professional and implement the latest dental equipment and technology available. We love how they offer you water, coffee, tea and the option watch Netflix or listen to music when undergoing a procedure. Once you go there, you will be hooked for life and loving it too!

Extremely disappointed. The people seemed friendly, and the office is slick, no doubt. But it’s all a set up for massive upsells of unnecessary treatments. Going in for a routine cleaning, I was told my «treatment plan» was $ 1,300. I was shocked and immediately felt that I was being gouged, so I left without getting any cleaning done and found another dentist. Guess what? No «Perio laser» treatments needed (savings: ~$ 750), and no filling needed (savings: $ 250). I saved $ 1,000 by walking out of this place. They need to realize that patients are not ATM machines, and quit recommending unnecessary and ridiculously expensive treatments.

I was treated well and the dental part (cleaning) was no better or worse than any of my previous experiences. Having a TV with Netflix was petty cool. However, I did feel pressured to do stuff I almost knew I didn’t need. Will be checking in with my regular dentist regarding all this first. Felt like I was at some used car dealership. Again, I was treated OK, but the overall experience made me feel very uncomfortable. Never had so many different people pressure me into spending money at a dentist before. I don’t know yet, I may change my mind, but for now I am not certain I will ever come back to this office. Sorry guys, but as my grandpa said, «when a doctor becomes a business man, he is not longer a doctor». I came to see a doctor, but felt like I was seeing a salesperson. Good luck

I actually see Dr. Baum, not Dr. Gorelik, but figured Trident could use yet another glowing review!
It took me almost a year of living in LA, and tooth pain, to look for a dentist, so I was obviously overdue for an appointment. I’ve never been a fan of the dentist — but these people are seriously amazing! Everyone, from the receptionist, to the hygentist, to Dr. Baum, are friendly and healthy. They’re not judgemental, either (a first in my dental experiences)!
I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes, and they have 8am appointments which is super convenient (although there’s a long waiting list). Watching Netflix is a nice perk, too!

First off, I hate the dentist. I am scared of the dentist. Looking at x-​rays grosses me out. I’m a «dental chicken.»
The first (and last thing) you notice about this place is the excellent staff working the front desk. In my experience, an extremely small percentage of staff at dentists’ offices are barely capable of wasting oxygen, never mind running an office. The staff follows up, uses «high tech» things like email, is expecting you when you arrive; and all the other good things that come along with providing high-​quality service.
I needed a deep cleaning and I dreaded it. Everyone was very nice and professional. The chair had a built in massager and I got to watch Netflix, which distracted me enough to block out the mess in my mouth.
My experience with Trident has been the best dental experience of my life by far.

Marissa cleans teeth like she means it. I always feel super fresh. Ivy did a great job too. The two doctors are very nice! Gorelick did a perfect job on a filling. Today I went in for the fifth cleaning with them and enjoyed the massaging chair and Netflix. By the time my cleaning was over I had finished an episode of America’s Funniest Home Videos.
BTW, if you hate cleanings because they hurt, ask for numbing mouth rinse. They are very accommodating and caring!
I have had some really terrible dentists and one I loved who retired. I have been going to Trident for almost two years and I always get the same great care with the same great people!

I continue to go to Dr Gorelik’s office for me and my families dental needs. Staff is still the same awesome staff since i began to go there in 2011. Dr Gorelik and most recently added Dr Nikki are very caring, patient and gentle. In addition, yesterday i had a root canal done by an Endodontist that comes in to the office on Thursday’s. Don’t recall his name but he was also awesome. I didn’t feel a thing through out the process but the usual minor pinch from the anesthesia shot. Made me feel comfortable and explained everything. i don’t have any soreness today or swelling. It’s obvious Dr. Gorelik only works with the best like herself. Thanks to her care, my kids and I have the best dental health we have had in years without breaking my pocket. Patient for life!

I had been a patient here for 4 years. I used Unilocal to help my find a dentist when I first moved to LA and Trident was the choice I found. At first I enjoyed the experience here, but as time went on it got worse and worse. The first sign that something was wrong was when they did such a poor job on the veneers on my front 2 teeth that I had to go through the whole process twice. Even after them improving on the work the second time it was still very clear that one of my front veneers was a little longer than my other one. Since changing dentists I have been clued in to how this is not only a cosmetic mistake but also a Dental Health mistake because it changed my bite which affected other areas of my mouth.
The bigger problem with these guys, which I became more aware of when reading the very few non positive reviews on here (I wonder how many of the 5 star reviews are fake) is that they gave me a treatment plan saying I NEEDED SIX FILLINGS. I decided to use my girlfriends dentist who she always raves about for a second opinion. He said I needed ZERO fillings. He did notice one potential issue which he said could be drilled but instead thought the best course of action was give it til my next cleaning and see how it looked then. It’s funny that Dr. Gorelik said that 1 tooth was a «priority» while the others I could do when I had time.
This new dentist (Dr. Julien Chen) from the second I arrived was clearly much more professional and caring than Dr. Gorelik at Trident who had become less and less pleasant and warm as the years went by, probably because of the stress of running a less than honest business.
I understand this stuff is seemingly common practice these days for dentists to over-​treat, but I felt obligated to come to Unilocal to hopefully deter the next person like me who is new in town and doesn’t do enough proper research to find the perfect dentist.
Don’t take the word of Dr. Gorelik as gospel at the very least

This is an update to my review last year… I have now undergone replacement of 4 veneers (which I initially had placed 22 years ago) and creation of 2 new veneers for cosmetic reasons. She did an amazing job. They look natural and perfect at the same time. Her office made the entire process comfortable for me. She even delivers Lidocaine injections painlessly — a first for me. I’ve heard stories about temps falling out and looking strange, and even during that 10-​day period, I felt my teeth looked good.
Dr Gorelik and her staff always accommodate their patients. When I ate a staining food (curry), they got me right in to polish the temps so that I could smile comfortably until my permanent veneers arrived. After the permanent veneers were placed, even though they looked beautiful right away, Dr Gorelik emphasized that we would have follow-​up appointments for any fine-​tuning. I appreciate the pride she takes in her work, and the results are evident.
I’ve referred several friends and my husband to her in the last year, and everyone has a great experience, whether they see her for general or cosmetic dentistry.

My wife had chosen Trident due to their high rating here on Unilocal and has had pretty good experiences thus far. I decided to turn to Trident as well [previous dentist was my dentist since I was an infant] and they had given me a completely different perspective on dental visits.
There were quite a few different assistants, so there were quite a number of people that had talked to me and/​or done work on me from X-​Ray, to diagnosis, to deep-​cleaning. All that being said, everybody was very nice and encouraging.
Helps that they have Netflix going so the time goes by a little quicker. The distraction from them working on you is great and really helps you take your mind off having your mouth dismantled.
I’m glad that I’d come to Trident — won’t dread dentist visits as much anymore.

Oh my! I had to write an updated review for this sham dentist! Please see my previous review for more information. We recently moved from Los Angeles to Orange County and could go back to our original dentist and what we found out is infuriating!
Trident Dentistry produced a «treatment» plan for my husband which showed that he needed about 6 – 7 fillings and a crown for a grand total of about $ 3,000 (I will upload a picture of it). We didn’t feel at all comfortable with the dentist or this office and decided not to do the whole treatment plan. WOW! Am I glad we didn’t! Today my husband went to our regular dentist and found that Trident Dentistry was trying to over treat him and that he actually only needs two fillings!
Mind you, while Trident Dentistry did do the crown they did NOT do any fillings meaning that they wanted to do an additional 4 – 5 filling for no reason other than to make money. This is truly beyond disturbing. My husband and I both got the feeling that this practice was dishonest but now we now have that confirmed after getting a second opinion.
My advice would be to get a second opinion after getting any treatment plan Trident Dentistry tries to sell you on or avoid them all together and find another dentist.

It has now been over two years since my complete oral reconstruction and transformation. I have never been so confident in my smile and appearance. Now I only see Dr. Gorelik and the wonderful staff for routine checkups and cleanings, wish I lived closer so that I could get cleanings more often. Things only seem to get better at this place, its always spotless and staff beyond helpful and friendly. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of work and expertise that you receive. At one point Dr. Gorelik went out of her way to assist me with a discount when my dental insurance had lapsed without my knowledge (or rather my forgetting to send a payment). Thanks Doc, you are truly a master of your craft.
P. S. Every friend that I have told about this place that tried it has made it their new and permanent place for their dental needs.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gorelik’s for a few years now, and I’ve heartily recommended her to friends in the area and co-​workers, so it’s finally time to share my recommendation and enthusiasm with the Unilocal world.
I’ve seen her consistently every 6 months (or more, when I’ve needed fillings and other exciting procedures) and here are some of the things I appreciate most:
*The complete honesty and transparency that she and her staff give me, even bearing with me when I ask to hold off on decisions until I can talk to my husband
*Her office is technologically advanced and up-​to-​date, which is nice when you’re used to old-​school dentists who do everything by hand
*From what I can tell, her prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality of care and the office
*I can’t help it, but I like the little touches — the water available in the front office, the email reminders/​confirmations, THE NETFLIX, the easy-​to-​understand documentation
That being said, there are two things I don’t love…
*Parking can be a pain, depending on the day. There is often metered street parking (30 minute on one side, 2 hour on the other) but then you have to play the game of how-​long-​should-​I-​meter. There’s a lot attached to the building, but they don’t validate.
*I’ve had some hiccups with the front desk staff… they’re always very polite and apologetic when there are mistakes, but wanted to be 100% honest. I’ve needed different things via email before and had to check in multiple times… or had issues with paying for things, etc.
To end on a positive note, my husband’s in dental school, so I hear lots of horror stories about other dentists and how dentists may work shadily… so I’ve waited a LONG time in posting this review… and I can say that I would totally recommend Dr. Gorelik to others.
