2 floors of lingerie. Stocked with stuff made in house, as well as other company’s stuff. Go for the stuff made in house. It’s pricey, but heck you’re buying American (‘Merica, Fuck Yea)!

Members Only Store, how ridiculous is that.
Their quality feels like it will rip easily if you are to rough considering everything is made there.
Overly Priced! Staff is rude or just seems as though they just want to go home. It seems very cluttered. You can also buy some of the same things at sex shops for a better price.
I went in this week & there was a bad vibe with the employees & the manager. An older rude male. The lady that helped me pick out my Christmas outfit was sweet. If they were all nice, better priced, better quality. Then Maybe I’d return.

I had wanted to visit Trashy for a while but never had the chance because I live in Irvine, CA. I did not know that you had to be a member, or had to have an invite to shop here. Honestly, I love the exclusivity of the store. You have to pay a very small fee to shop before being let into the main show room. I think this is a great idea, the staff there take a lot of time crafting these pieces of lingerie and the fee allows for the staff to know you are here to shop and not waste their time.
When I was let into the showroom, I was so excited. The woman let me know that she would help me if I needed anything. I wanted to look around before asking any questions. I picked a few things and she kindly put the pieces into a dressing room for me as I continued. There was no pressure. I chose to buy two amazing handmade teddies. They are super sexy. The prices I think are fair because of the craftsmanship and time it takes to make these exquisite pieces. I paid $ 100 each for the teddies. I then stumbled upon an amazing sequin gown. The silhouette of a Jessica Rabbit dress. I fell in love and am having Trashy custom make one in black for me. The quality of the gown is fantastic. There is a teddy inside the gown for extra support. The price for this custom dress is $ 360, which is not expensive.
If you cannot afford the handmade custom pieces in this lingerie boutique go somewhere else. These people spend a lot of time in perfecting what they do, and there’s a reason why they have been in business so long. Quality sells. But if you’re going to bitch about the price go somewhere else. There are tons of «out of the box» lingerie stores in the LA area.

Still the same quality I remember but even more pricey. Service was good, not mind-​blowing great. I must be fair and say it was Halloween weekend. Things can get pretty busy at trashy during Halloween. I still don’t go anywhere else.

Admittedly I own a few of their pieces and they are good quality and well fitted but the owners are so rude and the service is always so awful that I have a really hard time enjoying my shopping experience.

Would never go there again! Rude and insulting to say the least. They were making a custom corset for me and the measurements were completely off. When I brought it up to the seamstress, she insisted that she made no mistakes. I told her that’s with her measurements, the corset would make my body look abnormal. She was very short with me and had the audacity to tell me that she can’t make a miracle! I certainly was not expecting a miracle, but I don’t want to look abnormal either! Plain Rude!

There is no place like trashy ! Everything is high end ! Edy who works there is wonderful ! I am a huge fan of Trashy !!!

If you want custom American made lingerie, costumes, clothing and accessories then Trashy is THE place. Don’t be fooled be the naysayers who poorly reviewed this La Cienega landmark. I’m sure they’d rather spend their hard earned money on poor quality mass produced disposable clothing made in sweat shops just to save a buck!
As for the Trashy’s staff, I can’t tell you how many stories we’ve swapped while I was being sized. Edy is amazing, absolutely fabulous at not only remembering my clothing preferences, but in recalling details I’ve shared about my life. The same sentiment is shared for the owner, who has sat happily chatting with my husband, not trolling the store like one idiotic reviewer insinuated. Go see these people, this funky fab place for yourself. Pay the lousy $ 2 membership and remember you get what you pay for and when you buy quality you only cry once.

I almost didn’t go here because the reviews were so bad. What a mistake that would have been.
Everyone said that the store reps would be rude. To my surprise, everyone was genuinely friendly and very helpful. And they weren’t like that because I’m anyone famous or have a lot of money. I’m a 23 year old nobody from Pittsburgh with an affinity for lingerie. I came here because I loved watching girls next door. Trashy Lingerie lived up to my expectations that I had from seeing them on TV, which were very high.
The store is covered in corsets and costumes. I ended up selecting a Marie Antoinette style coat and corset with BEAUTIFUL detail and material. I won’t lie — it was pricey. But its unique and I couldn’t see myself purchasing this anywhere else. Not to mention that they alter everything in the store. I can’t wait to get it back and wear it!

I don’t get this place’s popularity. The costumes and lingerie are overpriced, look like they’re flammable, and the service is terrible. First off, you have to pay them $ 2 to even get in to look at anything. Just to LOOK you have to pay? Oh, and you can’t touch anything. A sales person will follow you around the store and watch you to make sure you don’t touch anything or attempt to steal it.
Nothing has a price tag. So you have to ask, like a chump. I felt like Julia Roberts in «Pretty Woman,» when she’s shopping and all the lady will tell her is «it’s very expensive.» lol. The costumes are like $ 700+, and just because they make them in-​store they charge you a fortune. And honey, I’ve seen the back, it’s by the sale room, and all I saw was these poor little Hispanic ladies slaving away at sewing machines. They may say the old man who owns the stores makes the garments, but I highly doubt that he ever even sits down to put a needle to thread, or sits at a sewing machine himself.
The whole thing left a bad taste in my mouth. Really bad experience and a waste of $ 2 so I could get followed around their store, as though I’d want to touch their stuff…
Here’s a tip: if you want premium, hand-​made lingerie, go to Hoss International downtown. That guy is a sweetheart and will let you touch whatever you want, AND he doesn’t charge for you to come in the store.

I LOVE Trashy!!! Yes, some of their stuff is expensive, bit being a sewer myself I totally appreciate how much work goes in to a corset and costume. I always have fun talking to the staff and all the people who say they are rude baffle me because I always have a good time. And if you need something a certain size just ask because they make their custom designs there and not in China!

A great store with great customer service. It has a huge collection of costumes for everyone.

Avoid! Over expensive and nothing special !! you can find the same customs with same brands much cheaper in other stores with much better customer service ! First you enter you have to pay 2 $ I don’t know for what? . And the staffs are very rude! At least be nice with customers !!. I wish I first read the reviews! This place is exactly like it’s name! TRASHY!

Used to be a total fan of Trashy and own several of their original Trashy costumes. They held up well and I have received so many compliments. The customer service has always been shoddy. Really dislike the fact that many of the corsets and original costumes don’t have price tags on them. I know they just make up whatever price, and that seems a bit shady.
This year, I decided to take a look at their «knock off» section for costumes and surprisingly found a really good looking Snow White costume. I scoured the back of the store that featured their original collection, but I swear some costumes were still there probably from 8 years ago. LOL You definitely have to inspect what you’re getting, because a lot of their costumes look very used. They probably loaned them out to celebs for photoshoots/​events, and then put them right back on the rack without a good cleaning.
The Trashy brand has went down the drain, especially since Playboy Playmates are no longer the cool girls. When Playboy was hot, so was Trashy. Times have changed and people have more options to buy online and from other retailers that carry costumes and lingerie too.
Sad to say it, but Trashy will eventually be out of business. In this economy, people really watch what they spend (YES, even the wealthy) and certainly won’t put up with bad customer service.
Won’t be back for a long time and certainly will make sure to tell friends not to shop there either. Hello, get with the times. Everyone searches on the internet for reviews, and it surely can make or break a business.

This place is awful. First of all you have to pay $ 2 to get in because it’s a «members only» store. Secondly, everything is EXTREMELY over priced. My boyfriend and I are well off and spend tons of money on nice things. The problem with this place is that their outfits are made out of crapy material and are not very original. A school girl skirt was priced at $ 100. It was nothing special at all. Also, the people that work there are very rude. The place is a complete mess. Also, the cup sizes only go up to C… To me that’s ridiculous!

Woman behind the desk was nice enough. I can even let go of the idea that you have to pay $ 2 to look around which is ridiculous. What I can’t get over is the nasty woman who when I inquired about getting something for a man got really nasty and said «we don’t make things for men». Not necessary. Also you would think being in the location they’re at she wouldn’t have come across so closed minded. She then continued. «There are places for that on santamonica blvd, your friend has to look harder» I was planning on going in for myself and buying some things but would never go back in again and pay to be talked to nasty by this rude woman.

I’m a Figure Competitor who likes to have custom competition suits made. And this is the place to go. Whatever you want for the stage, they can pull out some samples, get you fitted, and tailor make it for you. They also have an awesome guy — Rolando who can bling out your suit, if you wanted more crystals and sequins.
This is THE place to get Custom designs !!!
Great place to find sexy costumes for the stage, competition, parties, etc. Lots of bikinis, costumes, bustiers, shoes, underwear, masks and accessories to choose from.
Edy, Mitch, Randy, Sarah and the rest of the staff are very helpful and totes awesome!

I have been looking for a leg garter, and chose this place. I called before I went over and spoke with a gentleman. I asked did they have any leg garters, he informed me that they had plenty. I also asked about parking in which he instructed me to park in the rear. I arrived to be greeted by a purple hair young lady that immediately asked if I was a member. «Member? Excuse me»… but not once on the phone was I informed that this is a membership only store. (Not hello, or welcome, or let me explain the way we work, everything I was told was only because I asked). So… I told «purple» this was my first time and she informed me a membership needed to be paid just to look around. Then someone yells from the back something neither of us can understand. The person that yelled finally came out to say they only have 1 kind of leg garter for $ 20 and if I wanted more fluff I’d have to order 1 other one they have in their catalog. I was so irritated at this point, i walked out. And even more pissed that i wasted my lunch hour and gas to come here and still was not even shown the product.
So pay membership just to look at it and possibly not buy it. Nah! I’m over that place.

RUDE & OVERPRICED! :(
I had gone there a couple years ago and got a really cute hat, so I was back in LA, wanted to go back. My friend and I walked 30 min from our hotel to get there, I was so excited only to be greeted at the door by the rudest woman. Then we had to pay $ 2 to even enter the store (with some excuse that the $ 2 keeps creepy guys out???)
Then the woman in the store was even worse. I’m a curvy girl and they had 3 items in my size. She snapped that they could make me anything???, but just a top was $ 250 and material was very scratchy, not soft at all.
My friend is a very talented & accomplished drag queen, who was out of drag while shopping. I was in the bathroom and I overheard him politely ask for help. The woman was soooo rude to him «we don’t carry anything in your size». I couldn’t believe her tone, he’s a 29 year old cute gay boy — totally not creepy. Pretty Woman moment!
We ran out of there as soon as we could — away from the super rude staff and extremely overpriced garments. The hats were $ 300 when I got the same one in NYC for $ 50.
Don’t know what happened… the store used to be so cool.
Is it that hard to be nice to customers???

I needed a costume for a party in a few days. Everything I saw in vintage shops, thrift stores, and Halloween stores just didn’t look good to me. I knew Trashy Lingerie wasn’t going to cheap, but I wanted to finally check it out.
The Snow White costume immediately caught my eye. It included a cute mini skirt, corset, bolero, cape, and headband. I bought one of the copies (aka knock offs) of the customized versions which are a fraction of the price. The woman who helped me in the dressing room was so nice. She was very knowledge of what size would fit best for me since she also owns the Snow White costume. She mentioned it was the popular choice, and I just loved it.
There is every accessory to match every outfit. I walked to the back and saw the more expensive costumes that could cost one hundreds of dollars. I probably won’t splurge on a custom made outfit. However, if you do have the money, then I suggest spending it here.
Entrance to the store includes a membership fee of $ 2 good for a year. The membership card includes the admission of one guest.
