Dentistry has been my passion for almost 20 years. That’s partly the reason why I have 3 dental degrees and a specialty in Prosthodontics. I have been teaching for 10 years as a clinical assistant professor at USC School of Dentistry.

I’ve always loved what I do because I know that my efforts are going to alleviate discomfort, apprehension, and anxiety for a patient. I understand not only the clinician’s, but also the patient’s point of view when it comes to contemplating or undergoing dental treatment. Just like you, I realize how important dental health is and believe me, I have the same concerns and fears.

I know that having a gorgeous and healthy smile will transform lives, opens doors, and let’s your self confidence soar sky high.

Helping patients choose the correct path is both an art and science.

Dr. Nadia Tabachnik and her assistants are AMAZING! I visited two dentists and one Endodontist before I finally found her and I’m so happy I did. After months of pain and one week of complete agony, Dr. Tabachnik found the root of all my headaches, jaw pain, nightly throbbing pain, fever, etc. Other dentists/​specialist could not diagnose my tooth pain after several visits. However, Dr. Tabachnik did… and in only one visit.
Dr. Nadia Tabachnik is very gentle when doing work. She also thoroughly explains the procedures involved to the patient. I could not be in better hands. Thank you Westwood Dental Smiles for saving me from tooth pain.

I can relate to another reviewer who had a fear of dentist and didn’t want to go. That was me when I first came to Dr. Anderkvist’s office. I explained by trepidation, which had increased by this point b/​c I knew I needed some major work done. Dr. A really lisened to me, and didn’t patronize me b/​c I was in my 30’s and still had dentist phobia. Rather, he heard my need to rinse often and to have constant suction happening so that there wasn’t buildup in the back of my mouth (which makes me want to gag). Also, he always let me pick the music that I wanted to play so that I could take my mind off the process as much as possible for me. Everything helped, and I soooo appreciated his willingness to take those extra measures to make me feel comfortable.
Since then, I’ve been a patient for over 10 years and have always appreciated all the staff, and I think I’ve seen pretty much everyone there.

Dr. Anderkvist is «as good as it gets» :) He is not just a talented dentist but also a curious tireless mind, constantly craving new inventions that improve (tremendously) a patient’s experience. He is a highly experienced professional, gentle, but very efficient, and after all, extremely pleasant to be around (as is everyone on his team).

Dr. Thomas Anderkvist is absolutely fantastic dentist! I know I can trust him my teeth and health. He is very professional and always gives several options for the treatment. He uses a very fancy anesthesia that completely makes an appointment stress free!!! For us patients dentistry is all about being painless, right?! All staff at the office are absolutely wonderful and helpful! They make you feel like at home!!! Doctor Nadia Tabachnik who also works in this office is an outstanding dentist as well! She is highly professional and sensitive to your problems. On top of that, Doctor Andekvist is a multilingual genius who speaks fluently many languages! So if you are foreigner like me, do not worry, Dr. Anderkvist probably speaks your language too!!! :-)))))

I used to think this dentist was alright because I was a naïve college student who didn’t know any better. He convinced me that he is capable of removing my two lower wisdom teeth and the procedure should be simple. WRONG. He is not qualified at all and should have referred me out to a profession dental surgeon. Not only did he do the procedure, he did not give me the proper after care tools that EVERY dental surgeon gives such as a plastic injection to clean the cavity, antibiotics, hydrogen peroxide to clean the area, etc. The place of course got infected and then he referred me out to a specialist after my jaw wouldn’t open more than half a inch and at this point I was on vicodin for a month. Yeah, I know these might be side effects of the procedure but I fully blame him for this as he did not give me the proper care instructions or tools. I would have dealt with it if he had given me the proper due care and it still happened. In any case, I had to pay way too much for TMJ specialist, MRIs and works for the damage done by him. Now that I think of it, I should sue him because he deserves it for swindling me!

I honestly don’t agree with the negative reviews, but we are all entitled to have our own opinions. I personally had a great experience with Dr Anderkvist and Dr Tabachnik. She did my my root canal, it has been over 6 months and I am doing great with it. Also Meryl deserves a personal «shoutout» for high customer service level

This is a follow up to the bad review i made 4 years ago and I still stand by it. This is a rogue dentist and how they have tried to cover this up further rather than dealing with the situation is more of a case study on how not to do things. DO NOT go to this dentist. The quote below is from the dentist who probably hired a social media or pr person to finally see the bad trend in service and reviews from this poor excuse of a dentist. It took them FOUR 4 years to reply and not only did they not reach out to me the quote below is an outright lie. These complaints were not dismissed w/​out merit and treatment was rendered. There are plenty of good dentists in West LA and I am happy to refer good ones and try to save people from being ripped off by bad ones like Adnerkvist.

Wow, was I surprised to see bad reviews for Dr Anderkvist! I’ve gone to him for years and always had a great experience. I’ve been to so many bad dentists before that I was relieved to have find someone competent and that I could trust. I have recommended plenty of friends to him and they all have had good experiences. One experience that stands out is that he pulled out my wisdom teeth so quickly and painlessly, that I had him show me teeth, because I didn’t believe he had already pulled them out. Google him and see other reviews etc.

Went in with a missing filling that I knew was going to be a root canal. I am a very knowledgeable dentistry patient and they did not try and pull any tricks as described in the other posts. Not only did they do a check up and a filling for 100 bucks they matched the price of UCLA’s dental school for a root canal and made me a package deal on the post and the crown too. 3000 dollar job for 1600 is well worth 4 stars in my book. 6 months down the road the tooth is doing fine and seems to be well seated and in good condition.
Only down side was having my bike stolen when i got out of my 5 hour appointment.

this guys sucks. i went in complaining of a very uncomfortable mouth and left $ 1200 bucks poorer for a teeth cleaning and xray that did not solve the problem.
the problem persisted so i went to another dentist (charged me $ 300 to pull the infected tooth that was my problem).
THIS DOCTOR DOES NOT LISTEN TO PATIENTS, overcharges and i felt like i was at the McDentist.
help me help you… do not go to this guy under any circumstances.

Best dentist I’ve had to date. I am always at ease in the hands of Dr. Anderkvist and his excellent staff. It’s been almost five years since my first visit. Since then I’ve had a number of fillings done, all of which go completely unnoticed to most everyone. My mom to this day still believes I never had a single cavity!
The staff goes above and beyond. A story I love to relay belabors this point. I had some bonding on my front upper tooth for years, left over from some sub-​par orthodontic work. Tracy noticed this on the tooth and asked me what it was. I told her that it was left over from the braces I once had, and that several dentists tried to remove it to no avail. I had that bonding on my tooth for nearly 15 years! Tracy proceeded to try several instruments until she finally noticed she was making progress. Thirty minutes later, after some persistence, the bonding was gone! This was an eyesore I was self-​conscious of, and I assumed it would be with me forever, but thanks to Tracy I’m able to smile big now.
I was shocked to see some of the comments here. It is hard to imagine having anything short of a great experience with Dr. Anderkvist. I highly recommend him, and do to friends and family.

Great dentist. Very talented. This is where you want to be if you need perfect looking crowns, veneers, etc. Especially on the front teeth.
He is meticulous about creating a natural look. He seems to be able to solve any problem. I’ve found that if I don’t love the way a tooth looks, he keeps working at it until it’s perfect.
Hygienist Tracy is also very good. So upbeat and friendly. Always finds a way to ease nerves, and always has nice things to say.
If you’re afraid of shots you can ask the doc to use «The Wand». It’s a device that offers a comparatively pain-​free way of getting your tooth numb. For nervous patients, he has nitrous, but only if you ask.

I could not agree more with the aforementioned review. This practice is worse than a desperate used car salesman. The ripped me off and I as well reported them to my insurance agency & the dental board. DO NOT go to this dentist.
