All the staff has been friendly and kind. Each of them greet you and wish each person a unique farewell. Great service. Get the horchatta latte!

Horchata latte. Pretty much everybody has mentioned it. Go try it. It’s awesome.(Get half flavor if you don’t want it super sweet.)

This place is great, if I can I would get Horchta latte everyday… I’ve tried most of the coffee and they were good. One thing they do is latte art right into the cup, even the Togo cup. I tried to take a picture before they cover it and hand it to me… the staff is very friendly and they want you to have best experience… the seating in the café is very limited. So most of the time I get it to go, either way, I have no time to stay. The location is in beautiful dtla. So, it can be difficult to get a coffee and go… and the occasional deranged homeless people make me unease to go and get a cup…

I have an unhealthy relationship with Tierra Mia’s vanilla latte.

A friend and I weren’t sure what to get, and another patron told us to order their Cafecito Cubano con leche, and it is absolutely fantastic! So robust and and not too sweet, a perfect cup of coffee. I find myself dreaming about another cup.

Best coffee I’ve ever had!!! Beats Starbucks hands down(btw Starbucks is the worse)! The employees are super nice! My only complaint is I wish they had one in south Florida(I live)…here visiting my family and have been here 4 times, leaving tomorrow ugh, my last cup is today! Till next time Tierra Mia, will miss your cubanito!

I wanted the horchata frapp but… it has regular cow milk and they can’t sub it so I got it over ice and with soy and it’s very yummy. I got a 3 milks muffin but I have to wait and find out how my dad likes it since I bought it for him. I got the guava and cheese pastry.

I’m not a huge fan of DTLA for many reasons but this little spot really impressed me. The staff was extremely curteous and the girls took their time to explain the drinks to me since it was my first time. They explained where they sourced their coffee and what each drink included. I bought the COCOLOCOLATTE. The smell of coconut fills your nostrils with a delicious aroma of freshly gratted coconut. It takes me back to my childhood on vacation in Mexico eating the candided coconut treats my grandma had in her house. The drink isn’t overtly sweetened by the coconut. The CUBANCONLECHE is also well balanced. I also bought the TRESLECHESMUFFIN. This little pastry is intense. Rich and creamy like banana bread. The lobby is really small and needs some work but I had a lovely experience.

In Los Angeles, coffee shops abound, it is definitely not easy to differentiate one shop from another with coffee. Funky interiors, sassy baritsas, stunning views or food menu items yes, but creating new coffee concoctions is somewhat limited, except for brilliant shops like Tierra Mia Coffee! Creating a latte from Horchata, a sweet earthy Mexican beverage that you have to sip to understand and appreciate, is just that, brilliant. Smooth, creamy and on the sweet side, but not sickly sweet. You must try the Horchata Latte and be prepared to be wowed! Es Riquísimo!!!

Almost went to Starbucks. Good thing I swerved right in to Tierra Mia to try their lattes. Stopped by early for a quick Sunday morning coffee after reading some good reviews on Unilocal and it definitely didn’t disappoint. The baristas were incredibly friendly. The ambiance was warm and homey(I am so over the minimalist cold coffee shops). Ordered a Horchata Latte with Soy, then got nervous because I remembered a few Horchatas I’ve had in the past that were either too cinnamony or too sugary. Oh well– drink came out and it was PERFECT. Slightly sweetness and hint of cinnamon but otherwise incredibly well balanced and not overpowering at all. I saw their pastry display and it all looked very enticing, especially the tres leches muffinX strawberry cheese Danish, and cheese pastry. Yummmm :) Great job on a good first impression today and will be back to try more of their café menu.

Terra Mia has some of the best frappes ever! The quality here speaks for itself and I really love the service as well. Prices are fair and they offer flavors most other places don’t. I have tried most of them by now and all are amazing and worth coming back for! Much better than your huge national coffee chains, i always try to stop here when I am in the area.

Downtown has endless coffee options and this is my to go. Horchata lattes are great both hot and iced. But I’ve started getting them half flavor and they are just as good But with less calories/sugar. They dont have drip coffee so when I’m craving a non latte I go for Americano or a pour over. Minus one star because sometimes the wait is long, they have no drip coffee available and they have limited milk options(read: no skim). But I hope that in no way discourages anyone from going because the coffe is worth it!

small place, but needed a late afternoon pick me up. got an americano with steamed milk(I know, boring) but it held well with their tres leches muffin. next time will try the rice and beans frappé.

SUCH delicious drinks oh my goodness! This place is pretty unassuming from the outside, but you will be so rewarded if you stop in! I don’t consider myself a coffee connoisseur and generally am not very discerning, but I definitely noticed a better quality drink here! My absolute favorites: horchata latte(UMYUMDUH) and honey vanilla latte(perfectly sweet, very flavorful!). The employees are generally pretty helpful, too. I’m only taking off stars for 1. lack of seating(there are really only maybe 4 small tables inside and 3 outside) and 1. lack of parking — not unexpected, it ISDTLA after all… just be prepared to circle the block a bunch of times looking for a meter or to park in a daily lot(probably a waste of money). Just wish we could get a lot validation system going for Spring Street businesses!

Nice little coffee shop in a corner in DTLA. Get the honey vanilla tea latte or the horchata latte! They are both delicious.

THISREVIEWISCOMINGFROM A COFFEECONNOISSEUR. YOUNEEDTOKNOWTHATBEFOREREADINGTHIS. I have tried coffee from every corner in United States and beyond — so when i say that this is some of the best ive ever had. i mean it. The coffee here at Tierra Mia is just amazing. They brew such a fantastic latte that is never too sweet or too bitter. I wish i could have it more often but i am not local to downtown — i have it EVERYTIME i am there though. You must must try ANY of their lattes(esp if you are a coffee snob like me).

Coffee shop with Latin American elements(founded by a Stanford business school grad, Ulysses Romero, in 2008). This is one of eight current locations in Southern California. In addition to its popular horchata latte /frappé, Tierra Mia Coffee also offers chocolate croissant, pina queso danish, tres leches muffin, horchata latte cupcake, cheese delight, chocolate chip muffin, fresh baked granola, and banana nut muffin. Free WiFi available and no restroom here. Parking: Pretty brutal … meter parking is probably your cheapest option, so good luck! *** Horchata latte($ 3.50, small): A quick tip — ALWAYS ask for less ice or no ice when you order iced latte. No bitter aftertaste and not overly sweet, overall a pretty decent drink. *** Next time I would probably order horchata frappé over horchata latte.

Craving something outside of the Starbucks feel. Lo and behold this shop was awesome and great for our DTLA Artwalk adventure Ambiance Parking | LA is a city with spaces to park but a whole lot of people thus we arranged our parking through parkme. If you’re lucky there’s street parking but meters can be costly, parking lots change by the flow. Seating | Limited seating all mainly inside. The space can fit about 10 – 12 people tops. Feels | Very grab and go. You’re right outside of the streets and can observe the people pass by. Though you can study here, you really have to try really hard to focus. Food: Chocolate Mexicano de Guadalajara(Recommended) Rich and delicious. Though the chocolate is richer it wasn’t too sweet for me. A great alternative for a hot chocolate Customer Service | Very quick and friendly. We went here on a Thursday evening and the line wasn’t too long. Overall | 4.5 stars. Price is affordable, staff was friendly, and my order is delicious. My only knock is that I wish they had more chocolate items… other than that it’s a great alternative to the main chain coffee shops. If you’re ever in the LA Area or parts of Bay Area, be sure to give this place a try! TL;DR Tips: * Water provided * No restroom

I LOVE Tierra Mia like a chubby baby loves ta-tas! The first thing that got me excited about working on Spring street was the fact that I would be walking distance from this location. Can we take a moment to honor the awesomeness that is the Horchata Frappé and the Horchata Latte? Thank you! Those are my drinks of choice. Add an almond danish or a tres leches muffin and you got yourself a party! The service here is also outstanding. The cashiers and baristas are always friendly and super fast. While the place is small, they do have a few tables for you to eat there if you’d like. They also have complimentary water. Always clean, super efficient, and hella yummy, Tierra Mia leaves all the other coffee places around the hood in the dust!
