The Venice Love Shack

Eh. I went when they were having some massive sale. Everything was supposed to be 70% off. It wasn’t. It was all over priced. The staff/​residents hid from us so it was hard to ask questions about items. They have some cool stuff. But I think, they think, they are at a designer gallery status. You cant charge designer prices when your store looks like a burning man them camp.

If there was a zero for ratings that’s what I would have rated this place. I’m appalled at their customer service. It’s the pretentious selling to the pretentious. So unless you’re driving a Range Rover and had a tab already with furniture you haven’t paid for yet. don’t bother with the desire to buy any pieces from here. We picked out goods that were still out for browsing and purchase. We consulted with a worker to determine the price and set up the transaction. After we pulled out cash for the transaction, we returned to find out we could not purchase it because it was already promised to another customer. That’s understandable but with common courtesy the business should have put the merchandise aside if it was already being purchased. «She’s putting a lot of money into a lot of items so technically it’s hers» says the worker with the long hair, glasses and wire head scratcher tool. There wasn’t anything done to remedy the situation either. The dude just walked away giving us our cue to leave. What a jerk.
Wow…really? Your cash in hand and thought that you were ready for the transaction is void. It made us definitely feel our money wasn’t good enough. Discriminatory much? A smidgin. It’s such BAD KARMA FOR A PLACE THAT SUPPOSEDLY RESONATES PEACE IN THEIR BUSINESS. Very disappointing.

For all you want to be venice hipsters check it out otherwise not worth it. I just love the «new» want to be venice people that go here. Their website also has to show that movie stars shop here just another reason to stay away.

Great place, awesome people, always music on. Love this place. So colorful and so much variety of arts, vintage furniture. Great vibe!

It’s just a fun little shopping experience when you’re in Venice. Everyone should pop-​in and say «HI» to the wonderfully friendly merchants there, who love what they’re doing…

this place is hip! never thought i’d want a bean bag chair so badly until i came by. their knick-​knacks and furniture are worth checking out. there were several little ballet dancers running around in tutus with the studio in the back, and that just added to its quirky, awesome vibe. coming back!

Go get you some music love at the Venice Love Shack. They have a large quantity of albums from all kinds of music. Go check it out!

this IS why I came to CA in 1984… The Venice Love shack has new art and re-​purposed furnishings. There is also a private YOGA STUDIO for some public and private classes. I found this incredible chair/​body bean bag that we just love. I cant wait to come back.

I must say that I am very surprised at their rude customer service. Also, their website is outdated and shows outdated prices — then you should be more accommodating since this FALSE ADVERTISING! Basic stuff for business owners and also people that promote themselves as spiritual as you do. You should be ashamed to call yourself THE LOVE SHACK!! I

So LA is a cool place and Ive been here a while. The love shack is one of those places that makes LA what it is.
I have driven by this place and wanted to go in every time I do a pickup/​drop off at LAX but Ive never had enough time! The other day… it finally happened. I drove by on the wrong side and the hula hoops caught my eye. Totally worth the U turn.
An awesome collection of art, bean bag chairs, vintage, furniture and HULA HOOPS! And my hula hoop is the best. I actually left with two so my mini me and I could hula together. The vibe in this place just makes you want to stay and pull up a chair. The owner is awesome, which makes sense when you take a look at the surroundings…

Love treasure hunting here. Recently found a piece i was starting to think only existed in my head. There’s a bit of everything, something for everyone — provided you’re the type who enjoys giving new life to old objects.

The Love Shack really shows love. Art, yoga, antiques, random DJ, random BYOB gatherings. Cool, unique spot to shop and chill.

Awesome place! Art, furniture, antiques, jewelry, etc… easily get lost in that place for hours. Will visit again before I move for our new place. :)

Went on an adventure after my kids field trip today, Driving around with no destination, seeing what we could find, and we found this place! The space was soooo special, loved the vibe most. It’s a furniture, art gallery, chill space and yoga zone. They have all kinds of really cool home décor and jewelry, various different kinds of art from local artists, everything from paintings to drink coasters, even a children’s book! Wish i lived closer, i would totally hang here and have tea!!! We will return.

This place is the coolest art gallery in Venice. There are multiple rooms full of amazing art, jewelry and furniture… all kinds of other nick nacks as well. kinda like an antique shop vibe as well. The lay out and vibe of the place makes you just want to hang around for a long time… and all the people that work there are super cool and friendly.

Went here for my friend’s photoshoot. The owner was kind enough to let us use his establishment. We didn’t purchase any beanbags but we loved the colored school bus, the art/​paintings that were hung on the wall inside the store, and the comfortable beanbags. But those beanbags were a bit pricey for me. It made me want to make my own beanbag just for the hell of it. But I don’t have time to start nor to finish.

I’ve always wanted a bean bag chair.
My friend, Melody, found this place while randomly driving around the area and bought one of their bean bags. After hearing her rave about how much she loved it and sitting on her bean bag numerous times, I told her to take me there to get one.
On the day that I went, there was a stern, intimidating man running the register that day. When I asked him how much the bean bag was, he told me 140 without a liner and 160 with one. I was dead set on buying one without a liner for 100, but I was afraid to bargain with the guy. Luckily, my fearless friend Olivia went up to him and bargained for a couple minutes, and I got my awesome orange bean bag for 100 flat.
I think the best surprise came after I went home. I wanted to see how much my bean bag would cost online; It was $ 200!!! I saved myself $ 100! Wooo! Good deal!
