History

Established in 2007.

The Lyric Theatre is a brand new 99-seat black box theatre set in the heart of Hollywood. A block away from Pink’s Hot Dogs stand and just steps from Melrose Avenue, the Lyric provides a perfect opportunity for a night on the town with a dose of artistic inspiration. The space opened to the public in March 2007 and is home to two resident theatre companies, Mostly Musicals and Fourth World. Check back often for upcoming shows, member profiles, and ticket information. Thanks for visiting the Lyric Theatre!

Dorrie B.

Business Owner

Dorrie is a Pasadena native and co-founder and Executive Director of the Lyric Theatre.

In 2006, Dorrie founded the Lyric Theatre Foundation to pursue her first professional love, musical theatre, by presenting classic and contemporary musicals and occasional non-musical comedy and drama. She wanted to create a place that encouraged artistic growth and welcomed newcomers, both young and old. Since that day, she has produced and performed in «Into the Woods,» «A Lovely Sunday for Creve Coeur» and «Little Women (The Musical)» among many others at the Lyric Theatre.

«This is fantastic place to grab a bite to eat before watching a show at the Lyric Theatre. The environment is wonderful and the food’s even better!»
