Established in 1986.

I was born and raised in West Los Angeles. I went to Fairfax High, LACC and UCLA Extension student. Painting was a hobby for many years, so I went to work for the William Morris Agency and Creative Artist Agency. I was working on agents offices as well as many Producers, Directors and Actors homes. After eight years I left to start my own business which I operate proudly for 24 years. We offer interior & exterior painting services — for residential, commercial and industrial customers.

The Los Angeles Painters led by Steven Goldstein did amazing work. I needed two rooms and three bathrooms of my CrossFit gym painted and they were nothing but professional, accommodating, and helpful. The painters were led by foreman, Marc, who was incredible. His hard work and dedication were a constant which were exemplified through his team.
Despite some scheduling issues, the whole experience was pretty flawless. They even fixed some extra damage that they found in one of the walls and only charged minimally more for their time. I highly recommend Steve and his crew for any of your painting or project needs!

I’ll start this review with a disclaimer: Steven didn’t actually paint my condo. However, it was only because of a scheduling snafu, otherwise, I would have brought Steven onto the project without a doubt. He was a consummate professional from the very beginning with decades of experience in painting and design in Los Angeles.
During the estimate, Steven showed up on time with his foreman. He was very thorough, room by room, as he assessed all the work that needed to be done in the condo. He was aware of the colors we wanted to use and would make suggestions as to how incorporate other colors onto the trim and baseboards. A few hours later, he emailed me his estimate.
The estimate was slightly above our budget, and I didn’t feel comfortable negotiating with him in price, as I knew he was a top quality contractor. So initially, I passed on him. However, the following day, Steven sent me an email just to follow with me. We talked on the phone and he gave me advice on how to work with the other contractor, which paints to avoid, and which paints to use. It was then that I felt I was in good hands. We talked about my budget on the phone and he very generously met me at my maximum. Not only that, but he agreed to paint the ceilings too, something that I hadn’t considered because I knew it would raise the price.
Unfortunately, our close of escrow got pushed back and I was unable to book Steven for the job. I was disappointed, but it’s because of him that I learned a lot about paint, color, and working with contractors. When we remodel the kitchen and bathroom, I’ll be sure to call Steven.

We had the best experience with steve and his crew. we wanted your not so normal paint job and they did it spot on. They were very clean and professional. They painted 3 different floors in about a week at 2200 sq feet… thats pretty damn good.

Steven and his crew have now painted both the interior and exterior of my house twice during the past 22 years. Steven has an amazing sense of color and it truly an artist in that respect. His crew works hard and are professional. Their prices are competitive and their work is the best. I recommend them highly.

These people painted my house two years ago. They did an awful job, and when I called them back to finish up the spots they missed, they never came back. Believe me, I called them more than once. I would never refer them to anybody. The only reason I am posting on Unilocal now is because this Steven G keeps emailing to join his linked in. I would be so angry I would delete his invite. Today I finally had enough and unsubscribed.
