Woahhhhh totally regret coming here. Do yourself a favor and walk down the street to Ochas Classic. Environment: Sucks! Servers:RUDE Food: Bland, Sour and just plain bad. Ordered the Seafood soup with steamed rice and Beef Chow Mein The only thing that was ok was the Chow Mein. Our utensils were dirty with food still on it! Let me not forget to mention this place is CASH only! Seriously?

I don’t understand how this place always has such a long line to get in and eat because the food is terrible. I can honestly say I’ve never had such awful Thai food as they serve here. I ordered prik King which is green beans sautéed with spices and beef. The green beans were from a can! Cone on now! And any dish you order with chicken comes out dark and grey and really chewy. They also got a «B» rating from the health department.

The Thai ice tea was pretty good. They gave me battered deep fried plantains that were delicious as well. Bbbuuuttttt, the chicken pad Thai was so disgusting. The flavor was overall bland the only flavor I got was an unbearable citrus taste. Very sour. I’m not taking my chances with anything else from their menu.

The food and service were great! We especially enjoyed the spicy seafood soup and the mixed seafood in Thai curry sauce

Please go somewhere else! Went here on the 2nd of November 2014. The shrimp fried rice had too much MSG and did not have many ingredients. The Pad Thai was very bland and pale. The service was super slow. And lastly the place is old and dingy. It’s sad that most of their customers appear to be gullible immigrants. Please stay away from this place.

I love love love the seafood soup. That’s what I come for. That’s what my family has always came for. We’ve been coming here for 24 years. The food has always been perfect. The owner is the sweetest lady ever! I see her treat everyone so kindly. Like a loving mother. There’s a couple of flaws like the lack of space. It’s such a small place but very well known that it does get very busy, sometimes there’s even a line out the door.

I’m big on the experience, and willing to pay a little more. It’s a restaurant right next to a weed dispensary and a bunch of other random things, in front of Crack Central where I happen to live, unfortunately. There was no music, it was not the cleanest and the service was not the best. But that’s mainly due to the fact that there was only one sweet lady serving every table, which shockingly were all full. Mexican families in the area must love this place, because it is always packed. That’s the reason I gave this place a shot in the first place. I assumed that if it’s crowded, the food must be good. The food was not bad, but it wasn’t good. There should be a term for this; where you’ll eat it ’cause you paid for it, but if you could get a refund you probably would. I was there with bae, and we both ordered different chicken plates. To this day, I don’t know if I ate chicken or not. It’s really gross to think about it tbh, but I can’t do anything about it now. After having amazing Thai food from the Bay Area and the East Hollywood area, I refuse to come here again~

Worst Thai food that I’ve ever had in my life! I got some food Togo from this restaurant last night. I was starving and decided to go here, since my friend and I parked right in front. I ordered the beef ball noodle soup and some stir fried noodles. The lady who I am assuming was the boss, didn’t want to cook the food my way. I don’t know if she didn’t understand me or just didn’t want to do it for me. They told me it was going to take about 20 mins for my order to be ready. I left and came back. I checked the status of my food and she told me it was going to be done any minute. Not only did she tell me that, but she also told me that they ran out of beef ball. I wanted to substitute the beef ball for fish ball and shrimp, but she wouldn’t let me get both choices of meat even if I was willing to pay for it. Seriously? I’m a customer and I want what I want. I was very disappointed that they were not accommodating. I ended up waiting another 10 minutes for my food. I was so frustrated and angry! When I unpacked my food later to eat, I was outraged by what they gave me. They gave me some nasty, bland fish ball noodle soup ! They didn’t even tell me that they ran out of the beef ball noodle soup! They only told me they ran out of the beef ball. The stir fry noodles was nasty and bland as well. My sisters were disappointed with the quality. The service was horrible and the place looked filthy inside. Do not go to this restaurant ! I would much rather give this restaurant no stars instead of one

Their seafood soup is the best I’ve had. Others try to make a similar soup, but it’s not the same. I also love the combination fried rice and beef salad. The owner of the restaurant is a sweet old Thai lady, but the servers aren’t always so friendly. Unfortunately they don’t deliver. The place also tends to get really busy on weekends, with lines coming out the door. But it’s really great soup and rice. That’s what everyone comes here for.

Lived on Vermont and Elden and Thai Ocean was the closest walkable place to pick up Thai food. Based on reviews, wasn’t too thrilled, but tried it anyway and was very pleasantly surprised. The seafood soup was pretty good and the crab fried rice was too. I got some type of chinese food chicken type dish, like sesame chicken, or something, and that was good too. Brought my parents here when they came and visited for a couple days, they enjoyed it too. The only shitty dish I’ve tried here is the coconut shrimp — yuck. All coconut breading, weak wimpy shrimp, greasy feeling and watery sauce.

Just down the street from work, gave it a try for lunch. Saw the bad rating and was worried but ended up pleasantly surprised. Cashew chicken and ginger pork were very good, fresh and flavorful. Loved the complimentary fried banana appetizer. Waitress was really nice and kept the water refills coming.

I have never tried the Pad Thai here, but you’re not supposed to come here for Pad Thai. They have excellent Seafood Soup and their Pineapple fried rice is the best! Beef Salad is really good and they also have a vegetable chop suey soup that is so delicious! This establishment is not amazing looking because its in a pretty ghetto area but I don’t really go for ambiance. Some of the staff are nice depending on who you get. The owner Paulina is a very cute nice old thai lady. Most of the staff is very nice and the few that aren’t are just people that aren’t jolly looking. However, they are not rude so I’m still a happy camper. The parking is not terrible and the prices are good for the portions. This is not the most amazing thai place or the nicest looking one, but its my favorite and I have and will continue coming here :)

I went here last night to meet up with some friends before we went out in Hollywood. Boy were they bummed. I don’t think one of them enjoyed their food at all. My friends pad Thai even had a hair in it. At least they took it of the bill. Probably not a good choice if you’re looking for delicious Thai food. A great choice though if you’re looking for bad Thai food.

One and a half stars. At some point you realize a break is needed from the monotony of pizza or Italian delivery, and you cave to the rival Thai menu pamphlets wedged into your door every month. The pad thai ends up being a congealed mess with a healthy dose of wilting bean sprouts and coarsely chopped peanuts, but the pork is at least barely overcooked. Fried wonton have sizzled into the styrofoam, but the greasy goodness makes for an agreeable finish to the night of debauchery.

My previous review was based on what I ordered that day. I recently went back and was very dissapointed. Their pad see yew tasted very bland and their plate of spicy shrimp came with only 6 or 7 shrimps :(I still love their fried bananas but that’s about it.

This place is pretty small and yes they do serve fried bananas as an appetizer. The cups of water is pretty small, but they refill from time to time. Their combination fried rice was very plain and pad thai was watery. Personally, I do not recommend this place. If you want to go to a good place that sells thai food and is cheap, go to Thai Gulf, in Huntington Beach.
