Amazing food! Just delicious in every way. Super-friendly and intensely efficient in that wonderfully Israeli way. And near mealtime — the place is always jumping with customers. Everything is so tasty — and they are so helpful in helping beginners to navigate the menu. You make the basic decisions at the cash register about the kind of meat and then the accompaniments — from a pita sandwich to a wrap to a dinner version. Then you go to the counter where things are tailored to your taste. Everything comes with tons of sides and sauces as you prefer. Our favorites are the Chicken Shawarma and the Rib Eye Steak. The Pita bread is wonderful — full bodied and flavorful. And the hummus is the best I have ever tasted with a strong tahini/sesame element. We usually buy an extra container of the hummus… It is a Kosher restaurant and is thus closed from about 4 pm Friday until Sunday morning. ..

I was in the mood for Falafel so I decided to give it a try. What a great experience! Everything is fresh and flavorful. The restaurant is clean and run in a very efficient manner. I’ll be coming back soon for the Schnitzel!

Let’s talk about my falafel plate & how I’m a vegetarian eating at a fleishig restaurant. It was amazing. Everything was absolutely delicious. The chug and hummas mixed with the cabbage in a pita with a little eggplant & a falafel ball. Omg it was amazing. I highly recommend coming here. I love kosher restaurants that everyone can enjoy and appreciate!!!

Kebab with a bunch of sides. Kind of like an Israeli chipotle. Everything is really good though.

Food here is absolutely amazing. The food is always fresh. I recommend the Shawarma Plate because you get everything: 3 types of salads, hummus, shawarma, pickles, French fries and a pita. I usually take my food to go because it’s usually packed and really busy and because I don’t want to give my car to valet but if you are patient and want to tip the valet it’s a cool place to eat. Try it out!

This place feels as close to actually being in Israel as you can get in LA. Super authentic and delicious food. The lady at the front is always so friendly and happy to have you there. The place is always very clean and great concept. Order your food and pay, and then they’ll call you up to customize your order. I had always ordered a pita or laffa, but then recently ordered a plate, and I feel like it was basically double the food for only a few dollars more. It was an insane amount of food! I’ve only had the schnitzel so far, and that’s just because it’s sooo delicious! Have been here a few times already and will definitely be coming back time after time. Amazing place. Hope they keep up the standard!

Chicken Shawarma plate comes in HUGE portions. They give you a ton of sides and fries to choose from and you won’t leave hungry. Everything looks fresh as there is a constant rotation of new food being made. However, I can’t help but mention that preferential treatment is given to Isrealis. Not something I expected and perhaps not the business’ fault, but customers there will cut you in line as if the hummus will dry up and evaporate any second now. Employees working there also know this, but don’t care to make a difference. If you are Middle Eastern, this probably works to your benefit. It’s like getting free VIP access.

Trying to figure out a take out order for a large family and there is no menu online anywhere. Call in to ask if there is one and they tell me look on Unilocal(there is no menu here). I ask the lady some questions to see generally what they have there and she tells me «sir I have clients right now, I’m sorry I can’t help. We still ended up getting food there(although really difficult to coordinate for 25 people not knowing exactly what was on the menu until we got there). I’m giving this place 4 stars because the food was great and the portions were very large. I’ll gladly change it to 5 stars when they get a menu up and/or can manage to hire someone to answer questions over the phone.

Instant top 10 for me. The chicken shawarma laffa — everything on it, make it spicy Home. Run. The servers are such cool dudes, the food is without a doubt the most delicious Mediterranean I have had in years. Perfect in every sense of the word. L’chiem

Best shawarma outside of Israel! These guys are really great. Always smiling. They always put some extra fries/olives without asking you or charging you which is a great refreshment. Down side is the parking and lack of sitting area, will prefer to park on street. Bottom line is that it’s a great place with great service. Very recommended.

Most authentic Israeli food in L.A. The falafel is the best I’ve had — big, hearty and delicately fried. Hummus was on point, pita was fresh and fluffy and the fries taste homemade. The salad lacked a little flavor but was super fresh. I can’t wait to come back for more falafel.

Great spot for Israel food. Tastes super authentic. If you are looking for an amazing shawarma or falafel place outside of Israel then this spot is for you. Food is super fresh and you can see the shawarma and salads being made in front of you. Cons: the Place gets super busy around lunch and feels very hectic, if your not Israeli then you may be offended by this type of environment or place so come in knowing what your dealing with.

Great kosher food! Highly, highly recommend Tel Aviv. The falafel is by far the best in LA. The kabob, chicken, and Schwarma are very good too. The plates come with a lot of salads, dips, fries, and bread. It’s definitely a big portion for a great price. The staff is very friendly too.

Ahhh Tel Aviv! In my family we have some who keep kosher, one who is a vegetarian, and me who will eat anything. This is where we all congregate and thoroughly enjoy our meals together! For 12 bucks you get a huge plate of really great shwarma with tons of sides and pickles and fries. The lafa and pita sandwiches are both HUGE and stuffed to the rim. So glad Tel Aviv is expanding!

The food is amazing! The staff is very nice! I’m only giving 4 stars for 2 reasons: 1. They are always out of something! First time I came on a Wednesday night at 7 and they were out of Shawarma. How can you be out of the thing you are most known for? Long story short we left. Second time we came they were out of Laffa and pita. Need to better stocked for the amount of customers. Which brings me to my next point… 2. This place is PACKED. There are so many people in there it is hard to move. When you finally get a table expect to be pushed around because there are just so many people in this tiny establishment that you’ve got to fight for that seat! I know this is not the fault of the business but wish they would hire someone to move traffic in the restaurant. But don’t let those two things stop you. The food is well worth it and the atmosphere, well the atmosphere is just like in Tel Aviv. So go now!

Heard great things so I couldnt wait to try Tel Aviv grill. WOW. This new little hot spot in the valley is going to be here for a long time. 555. The food was great. The service was excellent. The people who work there are all very nice and seem to enjoy their customers. The portions we’re more than generous, especially for a kosher place since the prices are a bit higher but well worth it. Cannot wait to go back and try other items. I tore up my shawarma baguette and left nothing to be seen on my plate. Thanks for being yummy! Shlomi

Ok, now I know why there is always a line out the door at this place. Amazing food and great service. I ordered the chicken shawarma plate and it was so big, I was able to take some home. The food tasted fresh and had a lot of flavor. I have never tried kosher meat, so it was my first time and I can say that I wasn’t disappointed in their quality of meat. I usually go next door all the time for sushi. I will make sure to visit this place more often. :)

Probably the best kosher fast food I have ever had… but damn they are all over the place. Upon entering, you have no clue where to go and stand to order. Whether it’s to go, pick up or dine in, there is only one register which blows. People cut you in line if you are not aggressive enough. When you order for pick up, depending on which girl answers the phone, chances are your order will probably be incorrect. Oh! let me rephrase that. You order will not be complete. Meaning they will probably jip you on a salad, olives, fries or pita. It’s a zoo in there. There has to be a better order they can come up with. Possibly two registers?. Anyhow, now to the food. We have probably eaten the majority of the stuff here. Chicken Breast Steak-my fave Falafel-tasty Chicken shwarma-ok kabab-have had better schnitzel-too dry for my liking but you may like it The best thing here is the salads and the delicious fixings. Let’s not forget the amba sauce… mm No matter what time you go to this place, there is a line and people going nuts. For those who have been there, do you agree?

The food here is amazing. This place has got the best falafel, and I don’t normally eat falafel. I would highly recommend this place, they offer larger portions, meat is awesome and they have a good selection of sides. If your in the mood for this kind of food you won’t be disappointed.

Every time I have driven by this place it was packed, to the point that people were hanging out the door. Crazy. But this past Tuesday night a bunch of us finally made it in, and it was fairly calm… and sooooo worth it! This is the real deal, folks… and reminds me of the places on Ben Yehuda in Jerusalem… and yes, I know it is called Tel Aviv… but by the time we got to Tel Aviv, we were done with hummus and falafel, so… The Falafel Laffa is huge… and at $ 8 is a ton of food. You order to the left, take your ticket to the counter and then tell them exactly what you want inside and then on the side. The eggplant and fries… and the roasted peppers… Mmm. Everything is fresh and so delicious… and they stuff it and roll it with all that goodness… The Chicken Shawarma is tender and oh so flavorful, seasoned perfectly. Can’t wait to go back and eat my way through the menu! Todah!

Good idea… but there were a few things that made it not worth wild. 1.) Language barrier. The guy that helped me… didn’t understand anything I said, I had to point at everything. I mean it doesn’t bother me, unless there’s other people who speak their common language and they are getting all these different sides and basically just better service than I received. He was a nice guy but I couldn’t explain anything about my order at all. –1 Star. 2.) !!!My food was not cooked!!! I got the chicken breast for my wrap… it was not cooked through. Steak you can do that to, chicken no. Unfortunately I noticed this, half way through the sandwich, maybe that’s where all the rare chicken was? I was so sad because I really liked the bread and the spread on it but it was pretty much, I think that’s a health hazard? –3 Stars I think there is a great concept here… but clearly, there are regulars(aka. this place probably has good food most of the time) and new people trying it out. It just kills the experience when the chicken is not cooked. I mean seriously… how can you do that? TL;DR Chicken was not cooked, the guy helping me didn’t understand what I was saying.

I have some serious concerns about proper handling of food — namely the piled up salads at the front counter. The food is pretty good. The shawarma is ok, the falafel is the best I’ve had outside of Israel. Service is okay, could use some organization. But it’s pretty decent. My main concern is that the chopped salads at the front counter are piled up a foot above the rim of the refrigerated counter — exposed to warm air. Getting soggy. This is likely a violation of health code. To make things much worse, I’ve seen the prep cooks pile up new salads on top of the existing salad. And if you’ve ever worked in the food service industry, you’ll know that this is a sure way of getting people sick. Prepped food needs to be placed on the bottom, and the remaining food needs to be rotated(placed on top), otherwise as the food on bottom(which was previously exposed to air, hands, utilities) is suppressed by new food on top, and if this continues the next serving and the next. It spoils underneath the newly added food. This is a sign of poor management and lack of experience. If they don’t know the basics of food care, I can imagine there’s more mishandling of food — possibly not rotating meats in the fridge. Anyways. I hope they get their shit together. It would be nice to have some decent falafel for a change.

I walked in here with very high hopes. I mean these guys have created a chaos in the parking lot like no one has ever seen. I’ve been eating sushi next door for years and I’ve never seen so many cars waiting for an empty spot just to run into this bright little spot. Looking in from outside the lines can get really crazy too. Luckily on the night that I went, it was calm and there was no line. I ordered a Falafel sandwich in their special bread and got to choose lots if delicious looking veggies to wrap up my little burrito lookalike dinner. When I got home and dug my teeth in I was a bit underwhelmed. The bread, I must say, was delicious. The veggies, I had a little of everything, were fresh and crisp and amazing. The Falafel’s themselves were under-cooked which basically ruined the whole thing. And then gave me a bit of a tummy ache. And the french fries that came with, were not freshly made but stored under a heating lamp and completely inedible. But, I’m still going to go back because the place was spotless. The girl who took my order was an absolute delight to speak to for those 30 little seconds. The guy who was building my sandwich was super nice. And like I said the bread and veggies we’re delicious. Looking at the pictures other people have shared here, it looks like they have much more to offer and I definitely want to try them out.

My FAVORITE spot in LA is back!!! And I’m so excited!!! This restaurant had a previous location in a small super market and they decided to expand into a larger restaurant(they closed the first location). The new restaurant is absolutely beautiful. And they have this really cool picture of Tel Aviv covering an entire wall, it looks great. The food is amazing as always… They did not change their old menu but added a couple more options! They now have veal shawarma which is a really nice new option. They also added a new vegetarian option which is an authentic sandwich called«sabich» it is a pita bread filled with fried eggplant, hard boiled eggs, and tahini(those are the main ingredients) you can then add any of their salads and sauces to top it off. The guys(the owners) who work on the front line greet you with a smile and always know how to make you the perfect meal… As they like to ask«do you trust me?» with a big smile. They then create you the perfect pita or laffa sandwich(or plate). And YES I trust you!!! If your not picky or don’t have any allergies I suggest letting them create your meal… Tell them the protein you want(shawarma, chicken breast, kabab, falafel, chicken thigh, schnitzel, and many other options) and let them go to work! Did I mention they make their bread fresh… Yum. I had to try the sabich today as they described it to me I was drooling… It was great!!! Can’t wait to try the veal shawarma next time!

I’ve been monitoring this new restaurant that opened up in Tarzana. A perfect Unilocal five stars right now. This area is known to have a large Israeli community with an Israeli grocery store with a Dr. Sandwich located inside, Israeli restaurants and a café catering to Israelis. You would expect that the Israel food here in the Encino/Tarzana area to be legit. I walked in and noticed the full restaurant. Not bad for a new restaurant opening I thought. This is their new location of their previous restaurant in Reseda. I asked the lady at the register what they’re known for and she recommended the chicken schwarma. I ordered the plate so I could taste the sides. Once you order from the counter, you head over to line up at the prep area where they plate your meal. They asked what I wanted with my schwarma and I said everything! I want to taste everything and everything I got. Piled high were three different typical Israeli salads, hummus, a side of fries, and crispy sweet eggplant chips. There’s also some interesting Israeli beverages to choose from. I was so excited to take a bite because everything looked so fresh and delicious. The lady at the register took pride and told me that they’re have the best schwarma. She even told me to see her at the end of my meal to let me know what I thought. Everything I ate was amazing! The schwarma was juicy. The fries is one of the best I’ve tasted — crunchy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside. The hummus and salads were awesome and healthy. I know everyone seems to say«no» to bread these days, but you cannot miss the pita bread here. It’s unreal. Fluffy and moist in the inside — it is probably my most favorite pita bread I’ve tasted other than the pita bread at The Great Greek. It looked like I was the only non-Israeli in this packed restaurant and I loved that! To me, it only means it’s authentic. I’m so glad this place opened nearby in my neighborhood because I’m already dreaming of my next visit. Highly recommended!!! It’s as good as Dr. Sandwich or maybe even better!

If you are a person who enjoys great falafel or great shawarma you enjoy the food. I love the fact it’s like a fast food place. You order your food and get with couple minutes. If you are a vegetarian or a meat lover you will enjoy the selections of food. The food is always fresh. If you are a person who is in hurry and craving some Israeli food then you found the right place. They have a private lot parking and street parking.
