History

Established in 2003.

In 2003 Tailwaggers first opened its doors. It has since been established as the go-​to business for healthy supplies for dogs and cats in the Los Angeles area. In 2006, Tailwashers opened next door. In 2010 a second Tailwaggers store, in West Hollywood. In 2012, the original Tailwaggers store was expanded further, doubling in size. Tailwaggers emphasizes community outreach and activism through local rescue organizations. Each location opens its doors on a weekly basis to various animal adoption groups in the collective hope that animals without owners will connect with their future families. Tailwaggers donates a percentage of its sales each month to various animal charities and contributes to worthwhile programs in the city. It was voted by Los Angeles Magazine as being the «Best Pet Store & Salon» in 2010 and featuring the «Best Pet Accessories» in 2012. As the community of animals and their people grow, so will Tailwaggers.
