The tacos have no flavor and the habenero salsa tastes like sausage, not only that the lemons they give look like they are almost rotting and the beans also have no flavor.

One of the places to try the tacos de canasta or «sweaty tacos.» Definitely someone different and unique as not many people sell this type of taco which is popular in Mexico City I have heard.

So this taco place is located inside the Alameda indoor swap meet. I love their pupusas! Chicharron is what I always go with. The pupusas are only $ 4 and are super huge. They are a bit bigger than the plate they are served on. They are served with curtido and salsa roja. It can easily be split between two people or saved for the munchies later. They do have a salsa bar that also includes beans. I am not sure if they are the same business but to the side of this place they have a little stand selling tacos de canasta. Very tasty and different type of taco. Steamed tacos served with cabbage and salsa. Check ‘em out.

Absolutely the BEST al pastor I have EVER had in LA by leaps and bounds. This outfit is settled comfortably in the Alameda Swap Meet, and although there are other taquerias, including many that set up stands for the weekend meet, the al pastor pork from Tacos Guadalajara is absolutely the greatest. I mean, I’d drive miles for this stuff. The staff are friendly, the meat, superb. It’s not gristly, not too fatty(although there is plenty of fat it in), and the salsa bar, which boasts cilantro and onion, red green, and habanero salsas as well as lime/lemons for squeezing, also has free frijoles and grilled little white and red onions, making it pretty much the best salsa bar in town. Tacos are king, here, but you can get this amazing al pastor, along with whatever else they sell, in huaraches, sopes, burritos, and flautas. At $ 1.50 a taco, you really can’t have a bad time here. I haven’t tried the pupusas here, but am happy to report that they are the biggest I’ve ever seen. Ever.

Wow! I’ve had a burrito at this place just twice and let me tell you… ITWASPRETTYDELICIOUS!!! At first my coworker brought us one each for lunch thinking it was the so-so burrito from across work, but when I opened up the box… there it was, a huge burrito wrapped in foil! I was pretty blown away by the size. even equally as blown when I found out it was only $ 5! I had the carne asada burrito twice now. My real favorite is the al pastor type meat. but have yet to try! That means the carne asada is really good and haven’t gotten over it! Every bite is juicy because the meat is soooo tender! The rice in the burrito is also pretty good. great combination with the meat! IFYOULIKEGREATTASTINGBURRITOSAT A CHEAPPRICE. THISISTHEPLACE! UPDATE*** Just tried the al pastor tacos and carnitas… yum!
