Disappointed. The carne asada in my burrito was tough and chewy as if it had been sitting out. It was full of rice, so much rice. I couldn’t enjoy it. Flies were all over the condiments the tomatoes lettuce and cheese. I was hungry and on my 30 minute break. I couldn’t enjoy it I threw it in the garbage. A waste of money, 6.99 and a waste of time.

Initially I was filled with confusion because I didn’t know it was located in the gas station, but after passing it three times I finally pulled in to what seemed like a sketchy gas station. It’s not the best location but the friendly ladies behind the corner cooked up an AMAZINGQUESADILLA. The food is simply delicious. the location could be better but this diamond in the rough may become one of my go to Mexican food spots!

Breakfast burritos in a gas station. I had to eat here in a hurry after filling my rental car with gas before going to LAX. Seemed sketchy so I assumed it would be good. Everything’s ore are a la chipotle and just dumped on your tortilla. It reminded me of food I could get at a cafeteria(all I tried was the breakfast burrito). Not bad but bland. Also sketchy Mexican restaurants are all about the salsa and they don’t give you any(they do put some on the burrito when they make it but it’s not the same). Reasonably priced I guess. I just don’t know why you would come here when there are so many other great cheap Mexican places in Los Angeles.

I was recommended to this place by a couple of co workers and after arriving, i was pretty skeptical(considering its inside of an Arco gas station). Went inside to see that there was a long line at the counter which kind of reassured me that this place must be good. I’ve been here maybe 10 times since Lol. Great food for a bargain and they are definitely not stingy with their meat like most places! I’ve tried their burritos, tacos, quesadillas and nachos, and damn i was pleasantly surprised by them all. Highly recommend this place if you love mexican food, like myself!

I really wanted to like this place but I cant endorse it. The pictures looked awesome and its pretty close by. So I got the beef burrito and it was pretty just ok. The beef was a bad quality, chewy and the flavor was not that great even though it was marinated. The cashier also cheated me on my change on purpose, so beware of not the sketchy surroundings but the guy behind the bullet proof glass. I would not go back.

Not the best mex food I have ever had, but not that bad either. I was disappointed with the super nachos as the chips were less than impressive. Expecting tortilla chips and instead got some off-the-shelf chips you can find at Vons.

Great spot, inside arco gas station but really good food. I would recommend stopping by if you are in the area. I wouldn’t go out of my way to seek it out however.

I’ve been on a taco craze lately. I was excited to see a non-cash only(trying to break the habit of withdrawing cash) mexican place pop up on Unilocal somewhat near my work. It’s inside of a gas station and takes cards but it will cost you 35 cents to use it since it’s an Arco. Ordered 2 carne asada taco’s fully loaded and a carne asada burrito. The carne asada tacos were 2-bites each, maybe a third and topped with red onions, cilantro, and hot red sauce. The carne asada was overflowing and the tortilla was slightly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside(double wrapped). It was excellent. The reason this place gets 4 is because the Burrito was VERY underwhelming. The amalgamation of all the ingredients provided such little flavor that I immediately regretted buying it. Carne Asada was visible while she was making the burrito but I couldn’t taste a single piece of meat behind the beans and the rice. Pros — including the fee and my 3 items, my total was like $ 9.50. Not bad considering I ordered a lot and I got charged for using my card. You could get away with 4 or 5 delicious carne asada tacos. In short, skip the burrito. Go for the tacos. That should be a rule or something with mexican food.

Vegetarian burrito is not only tasty but an amazing deal at $ 4!!! Don’t be discouraged by the location one bit, certainly in the top 5 burritos I have had in my travels.

Like many others have said to start off with this place you have to say three words: GASSTATIONBURRITOS. Is not a four-star dining establishment, it’s located in an Arco where the cashiers are surrounded by 360° of solid bullet-proof glass.(Funnily enough the taco ladies do not get any of this protection, I wonder why?) But if you can live with this you will be presented with a super heavy steak filled burrito that is definitely worth the five dollar price. It also comes with a small side of chips which isn’t substantial but gets the job done. For prices ranging from about $ 1 to $ 2 you can also get soda which includes up to a 40 ounce cup with $ 1 refills. One negative is I wish they would give you some salsa they just put it in the burrito but you don’t really have an extra portion of salsa to eat your burrito with. I also did have ½ pieces of gristly meat — I’ll say it again however: gas station. But honestly I’m reviewing a gas station here. For the price, convenience, and flavor it is definitely worth a visit!

This place serves Mexican food like you would get from a little street-side stand or a taco truck. This is not supposed to be refined, elegant dishes. If you like a little grease and a lot of flavor for an amazing deal, then stop by this place. The nachos are legit, the tacos too. Quesadillas are basic, but with the included guacamole can be a nice addition to your lunch. They serve until 8:00 now, so it could be dinner too.

No, this place is anything but good. It’s trashy Mexican food, don’t believe the other reviewers, they have no idea what great Mexican food is. I ordered a chicken taco and a beef burrito. The taco was ok at best. The burrito, terrible. Terrible. Seriously, it was terrible. Almost as bad as those microwavable burritos. Don’t come here. Place isn’t even 24⁄7.

Odd location for a taco joint, but don’t let that discourage you from trying it out. The food is good. I have tried the chicken burrito and steak tacos. The burritos are super filling! Go for it if you’re in need of a tasty, thick burrito. Also, the tacos are filling as well. You get plenty of meat. This place is quick and easy. Go for it!

GASSTATIONTACOS we call it at work. Order your tacos with the ladies at Taco Express then proceed to pay the cashier(with the bill) behind the ultra thick bullet resistant wall inside the gas station mini mart. Best thing about these tacos… you can pay by credit card or debit(I think there’s a small fee for debit though). Tacos are made fresh and fast. The tacos are tasty(get the hot salsa rather than the mild) and they are affordable. We usually call in our orders and come pick them up by the dozens or two to share at work. You can also pick up your beverages or get gas as you wait for your tacos. Tacos here come with plain tortilla chips too. Just asked for some extra salsa. Carne Asada tacos are the best choice. I think they have other tacos also. I think $ 1.25 per taco. Not much of anything else on their menu besides tacos.
