Steve did a great job replacing the sound system in my Ford C-​Max Energi, a very tricky car to work on. It sounds amazing, and I’m an audio engineer so I’m picky. He also did a bang up job on my friends Jeep Liberty. Very upfront about costs and worked within budget. I had some bad experiences with some other places, and Steve was the opposite of all that. A really great experience.

Been going to Steves since 2004 and he’s the only person that puts his hands on my vehicles. Good for any project you wanna do on your car especially a performance build. Very clean work

It’s difficult finding someone you can trust when it comes to fixing your cars. You hear all these stories how mechanics screw you over, lying and over charging. I’m glad I found this spot in my neighborhood, Steve is great and really helped me get what I wanted gave me great suggestions and also works with your budget you let him know what you are looking for and hell hook you up. Been going T1 back in 2002 with my Integra and now again with my IS250. Steve is a really great Mechanic and Guy he will try to feel out what your goals are and find what you need.
Steve help me find the right set of Coilover Suspension, Tanabe Exhaust, and Rotors & Pads.
I wanted to maintain the Luxury look and add to the Sportiness and that what the car turn out after the install of Coilover, Exhaust, and Brake System.
Steve Business is very professional so theres no surprise or pushiness in the whole experience!

I came here to purchase and install a cold air intake for my Z. I live close by and have been coming to this shop to ask questions about modifying my car for a while already. The reason why I chose this shop is as follows when ever I came to the shop to ask questions Steve was polite and friendly, he answered all of my questions and didn’t make me feel pressured into buying anything. HE gave me great advice and took the time to help me out with what I needed. I came on Saturday 01÷23÷16 ordered my intake and got it installed today 01÷27÷16. It didn’t take long and I’m very satisfied, I will be coming here often to mod my z! I highly recommend you give this place a try!

I’ve been coming here for over 3 years after my friend recommended it (and he’d been coming for years prior as well) and won’t go elsewhere. Steve is honest, helpful, trustworthy, and does great work! No one else, besides me, touches my car. He always knows which direction to point me in for research when I’m trying to decide on parts/​upgrades I want. And gives me thorough & detailed explanations to anything I don’t understand. He has decades of experience and it shows.
And he’s one of the very very few Motul Oil dealers.

It’s difficult to find a mechanic that is knowledgeable and also honest. Steve has my go to for the past 5 years. He has an amazing way to diagnose your issue. Rather than have you tell him an overview of the problem and goes to work, he asks a lot of thorough and detailed questions to properly get specifics relating to your issue. After he confirms the issue, Steve gives you multiple solutions and their pros and cons. It has been much more cost effective relying on Steve’s expertise.
The one thing amazing about this business is the personal interaction you develop. Steve works by himself, which is amazing considering how many customers he has. I know it might take a little longer than the dealership, but the quality of the work and the price he charges is well worth the wait. But to be honest the wait isn’t that much longer compared to a dealer.
I recommend his service and expertise to all of my friends. It’s difficult to find a reasonably priced reliable expert. This is definitely one of the local businesses you need to support.

Steve is awesome very helpful. Helped me out with almost everything on my BRZ wheels and did a very good job on my grille. Will be coming back. This is from my own experience so dont hate if i give 5 stars. I liked the service and the experience.

Steve is an awsome guy he’s very knowledgeable in car parts I went into his store looking for some rims for my 1991 miata and came out with rims tires fully balanced and megan coilovers…;) I would recommend his shop to anyone who is making a project car.

Honestly I am not exactly sure where all these negative reviews come from. T1 Motorsport was recommended by a friend of mine and I had the most positive experience with this shop. My HID’s that I bought and had installed at a different shop were starting to fail on me. So I brought my car to T1 Motorsport and I had the best quality service in getting my headlights fixed. He really took the time to explain the problems with the HID’s and really helped me out with a good price on the parts and the labor. I will definitely come back and I would recommend that anyone looking for help and honest service to come to this shop.

Steve is a huge ripoff. He pretends to know about tuning but has NO DYNO. Pretends to know about turbo cars and knows absolutely nothing. He is an inept scam artist!

For my summer break I decided to drive down to SoCal from San Jose thinking my car would be fine. A few days after I arrived my baby just wasn’t handling right. Being far from home and not having my tools, I freaked out in desperate hopes of finding a good mechanic. Having my car for nearly three years, she has never been in a shop so you can only imagine how nervous I was to bring it in to anyone. A friend from back home mentioned a few performance shops around the area and since I don’t know anything around here I decided to rely on Unilocal to help me pick out the right one.
On Saturday morning I tried calling around hoping I would find the right place. T1 motorsport was probably the third place I called. When I got off the phone with him I instantly felt that this was the spot I could trust. He didn’t sound like he was in a rush and he was willing to help, asking and trying to figure out what I needed. Telling me I could come in that morning, I rushed over there.
When I got there I told him what I wanted and without hesitating he told me his honest opinion and would advise me different options to suit the situation I was in. Told him my final decisions and he took my car in and started the surgery.
While I was waiting around I had the best treatment. They turned on the tv for me, offered me water, made me feel at home. A few minutes/​hours in to it, I ended up falling asleep on their couch and I woke up to his wife trying her best to make me feel comfortable by closing the doors, making it more dim and facing the fan towards me (it was so bleeping hot that day!)

Steve is a good mechanic, but unfortunately he ripped me off. He quoted me a price on a job based on the number of hours, which happened to be «approximately 5 hours». So i dropped my car off with Steve but i came back early with my friend, and parked across the street to eat in the car. I noticed my car was not being worked on (but the hood remained open so it would look like something is being done) so i decided to not go inside until i saw someone working on my car. 15 minutes pass by, 30 minutes pass by and thats when i realized i was being ripped off. 1 hour passes by and my friend finally convinces me to go inside. Steve INSTANTLY became defensive, and made up some stupid excuses, all while being cocky. I ended up paying the full amount he quoted me (including $ 90 for the hour of «labor» that i witnessed). I understand times are hard, but if you want to build a long term, profitable business, you cannot do this to customers.

Great shop with a very good owner, I have been to a lot of big shops and they are all very impersonal and only care about money. I’m not saying being money minded is a bad thing but for instance, I had a problem with my throttle body, Steve stood there for 30 min and helped me adjust my tps and he didn’t charge me, plus I have called him with questions while working on my car and he is always happy to give his input. A little friendliness goes a long way. Because of that I will continue to shop here.

Wow all these five star reviewers must have gotten happily ripped off. This Steve guy is only concerned with making a profit and will do anything to get you to buy parts from him. When I was in here he was on the phone with the customer acting like he was paying attention but on our side of the line was making faces and being ridiculously rude, moving the phone away from his ear. As a customer I was offended by his behavior and won’t be coming back.

Steve is a jerk! Very cocky guy who is very one sided. Very old school outlook on mechanics and not up to date. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.

T1 Motorsport is a high performance upgrade shop has been in business for over 10 years.
The owner Steve is a really cool guy. He understands how cars work, and what upgrades are best for the one you drive. I mean dang, he’s been in the car game for a really long time.
I was just there recently to pick up a new Intake system, get my clutch slave lines changed from regular rubber to steel braided lines, and get a custom bracket made to stabilize my manifold and block. All i paid including materials were roughly $ 140, where at other places could have been waaay more. Plus Steve and and his Assistant give you advise and knowledge of what is wrong with your car (if you feel something is wrong) and wouldn’t dick you around like dealerships.
