I almost never write reviews, but this place restored my faith in humanity. I was in the neighborhood and my tire pressure was low, so I went in and Johnny Levitt took all his time to check all my tires, adjust them, and had me get in the car and move forward to make sure there weren’t any nails.
He then completely refused to take any money.
I will happily go to him for any issues with my car.

Thank you Unilocalers for your honest review. It made me decide to come here and didn’t go wrong. Tom greeted me with a warm smile and accommodating attitude. I came because I smell a burnt oil whenever I am using the my son’s car (BMW 328i).Tom diagnose the problem immediately. They are quick, honest and efficient. I also asked them to change the rubber molding on the windshield because its already crumbling. Although this one is challenging, Tom was able to take care of it. Because I was satisfied with the service, I came back and had the wheel alignment and rotation done. If you want your car to be in top condition again, come here and you will not regret it. Tom is a topnotch!

Tom and his staff were just terrific for the repairs needed on our BMW 550. He kept me up to date on the progress for the repair and the amount of the invoice was more than reasonable. Especially compared to BMW dealerships. I would recommend Tom and Superformance to anyone with a German vehicle .they are experts in that area and know these cars backwards and forwards.
The car was delivered to us clean, even the windshield was cleaned perfecty, car was in great condition when returned to us.

In 3 words: quick, enthusiastic, proving
My car had some trouble, so I had to change rear brakes, front window mold, and the trunk latch. After they are done with the service, they showed me from the part they separated what was the problem. And the service was super quick.
After they changed the brakes, the owner of the place did test driving, and told me stuffs about the car. He is a car lover.
I love this place and will come to this again next time if I have any troubles in the future

I brought in my Mercedes CLS 500 for a new headlight about three months ago. I was quoted a price by Johnny that seemed reasonable, then I went in there and Johnny help me out. He was great, the staff was professional, and better yet the headlight cost was lower than the actual quote he had given me over the phone. I would definitely recommend these guys for the great prices and service.

Amazing service. Very friendly and helpful guys. The «low coolant» light came on in my BMW 328. I called ahead and they said swing by anytime. I stopped by and Kevin (I think.) made sure nothing was leaking, explained how to fill the coolant and monitor it in the future, and then topped it off. When I asked how much I owed him (~15 minutes of work and probably a few quarts of coolant), he said not to worry about it and stuck out his hand for a handshake. Very class act and made my day.
I rarely leave Unilocal reviews. But I really felt compelled to show my gratitude for these guys. I’ll be using them in the future for all my car needs. Thanks again!

These guys are great. I’ve taken my old 2000 Nissan Maxima to them over the years and they have always treated that old car with the greatest respect. But here’s why I’m writing today: Yesterday that old car totally lost all power as I was heading south on the 405. I managed to get off the freeway and got it towed to Superformance. They diagnosed it, they gave me my options, it was running again, so I drove it home, even though it might have lost power again on the way home. I made it back unscathed. BUT here’s the best part: Tom called this morning just to see if I made it home alright.
I call that amazing customer service, and after a day like I had yesterday, his thoughtfulness was so appreciated.‘Thanks, Tom!

After getting my car washed I noticed the rearview on my M3 was loose. I tried to adjust it but things got worse. The mirror dropped lower and the adhesive had clearly become loose.
I called Superperformance on a Friday morning and spoke to Jesse (sp?). He called me right back and told me they would be able to get their glass guy to come over and fix it in hour.
Dropped the car off and an employee of Superperformance drove me back to work. Later in the afternoon I returned and everything looked great. The mirror casing was perfectly aligned on the window and it was sturdy and stable.
They did a great job of making sure the fix was high quality and looked great. Very happy I didn’t have to go to the dealer and was able to get the mirror fixed at an affordable price in a short time.

Great business. I brought in my fiat for an oil change and the people were friendly & helpful. The price for oil change was FAR better than other spots. They also accept Apple Pay which is super cool & convenient!
I simply wish they gave me an estimated completion time rather than me coming in for a surprise several hour wait, thankfully they squeezed me in & I was out in 2 hours.

2008 BMW was hesitating and not feeling right. Went here after BMW dealer told me I needed an oil change (at least $ 170), work on my fuel injectors ($ 900) and should have my software updated ($ 400 to fix inadequate BMW software).
Then I spoke to the owner, Tom, of Superperformance. He did the oil change for $ 110, told me there was no need to do anything to fuel injectors (said to just drive it for awhile on the freeway bc it rarely gets long rides and put in some Technoline) and no need for software update.
Honest, straightforward and knowledgable. Car works great! Tom’s the man.

Never set foot in the shop. Called for a quote to replace springs. Labor only. Quoted me $ 900 and 7.5 hours to complete. My mom can probably do it in 5 with cave man tools! If they’re going to take 7.5 hours to change some springs then they’re incompetent. I would do it myself but don’t have a garage to do it in. I can only imagine what they charge their customers who don’t know any better. Just be careful.

Knowing a great mechanics shop is almost as important as knowing a great doctor. We have trusted my 11 year old BMW and our older E-​Class Mercedes to Superformance for about 3 years now. What a breath of fresh air to have such a level of trust that our cars will be perfectly maintained, and that we will always be treated fairly and honestly. Superformance is not about getting everything done in the cheapest way possible — it is about getting everything done right for a fair price with no worries.
Tom is kind and very knowledgeable, and very communicative — always calls throughout the process, letting us know what they have found, what our options are for parts and repairs, and what they recommend we do. When they think another local shop is better suited to handle a certain type of repair (e.g. body work) they will take care of «subletting» it out to them to handle, always at a great price. They always use OEM parts, unless you want to use something else — and will tell you the pros and cons of any option. I love that they will pick up the car and return it to you, or give you a lift from the shop if you will be dropping the car off for service (even though we live a few miles away in West Hollywood). They have really taken such good care of us over the years, and like everyone else here on Unilocal,we just can’t recommend them any higher.

When the lights/​alerts on my 328i came on, I called Johnny at Superformance and asked if I could pop in so that he could take a look. As soon as I showed up, Johnny noticed I was having trouble parking my car, so he came out of the office to park the car for me. Having spoken to me very briefly on the phone, as soon as I arrived, he jumped right into the diagnosis of my issues and fixed them immediately.
There were a few things wrong with my car, but he was very honest with the various maintenance services I could wait on and with what I should do soon. I was in and out of the shop within 10 minutes, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
In the future, I will definitely come back to Johnny and refer all my friends here as well.

Like Family.
Yes, that’s what Johnny is. I’ve had 20 cars, many of them «vintage» like an E30 M3, E28 M5, a 1986 911 Carrera and a 1995 E34 BMW 530iT wagon. Johnny has done everything from basic repairs to modifications and upgrades on my cars. And he’s got WiFi in the office which lets me get a ton done oddly enough.
The shop is run with integrity, he’s a logical fellow and will tell you where you can save money and where you can’t. Every so often I try someone else and feel like an idiot…

I’ve had my BMW for going on 20 years, and we have purchased and kept 5 other BMWs since — so I’ve had more BMW service experience than most people, and given I once ran a shop and am in the industry am very particular.
My own car has been to almost all of the best and brightest BMW shops in the country over the years, from Dinan in NorCal to Turner in MA, and what I can say without the slightest hesitation is that of everyone I’ve dealt with, Johnny at Superformance had the greatest interest in making sure things were done correctly. There are places that will blame a part, or throw up their hands in a ‘you win some you lose some’ attitude, or claim they know better than you, but not Johnny. He’s as straight a shooter as you’ll find, and that matters far more than whether you’re paying for the company to run a race team or develop their own line of parts. (He’s even tightened a bolt for free that was causing a racket after the place I spent $ 2K at didn’t screw things back together correctly but claimed they couldn’t hear anything when I brought it back twice to investigate.)
I can highly recommend Superformance, as I just did a few moments ago to a friend for the 5th or 6th time since I brought my parent’s car to him for brake work years ago. Another bonus: he’s willing to use factory parts if you request them — I always do.
