Sunnynook River Park

Now, I won’t be using big words like, bucolic like my friend dave down there, but I will say that Sunnynook River Park is absolutely serene and a nice place to stretch your legs.
Granted, I don’t see much of the bucolic (there, I used it.) atmosphere, since I find myself aimlessly wandering around the park at night with friends after visiting a few of the local bars nearby.
I wouldn’t recommend coming here at night because I’ve seen a few hoodlums, satanic rituals, and rowdy couples along the path, in the bushes, and what have you.

This is a nice new park next to atwater village. Perfect place to go sit and relax (if you don’t mind freeway noise) with a coffee and pastry from nearby glendale blvd. the river is truly bucolic with rapids, heron and cormorants.
