Regarded by many to be the the most naturally beautiful woman of all time, Audrey Hepburn was the quintessential film and fashion icon. The American Film Institute ranked her as the 3rd greatest female screen legend in the history of American cinema, only behind Katharine Hepburn and Bette Davis. Her defining role in Breakfast at Tiffany’s was iconic, as she’s remembered as the classic beauty, both for her movies and humanitarian work.
To the left of this DTLA Subway location on S Los Angeles St & Winston St, there’s an artwork of Audrey Hepburn to the left of the restaurant. The 15×50 foot mural was painted by Free Humanity, which depicts her in what appears to be a field of hearts. The quote within the picture says — «It’s that wonderful old fashioned idea that others come first and you come second.»
I first saw this picture on Joseph A’s profile and thought that LA has some of the best city artwork ever. I’m sure we can all appreciate that. I actually saw it again last night, while heading towards The Must. Wished that the Subway was actually open, I was kinda getting hungry walking thru DTLA.
As for the venue, it gets kudos just for having Audrey looking back at you from a distance. The mural was actually here before the Subway opened its doors, so I guess they lucked out. I will be coming by again to check it out and will grab my usual — Cold Cut Combo (ham, salami, and bologna), Subway Melt (turkey, ham, bacon, and melted cheese), Tuna, or Big Hot Pastrami. Whatever Miss Hepburn plans on having that day.

I really want to be valued as a customer and treated with dignity and respect when I choose to spend my money. I will never ever go to that subway on Winston and Los Angeles. And I am happier because of it.

Good customer service and great ambience.
I recently went there and found this subway really good especially all the employees genuinely greeted me and recommended me the sandwich of the month as well. More than anything else, I liked their fresh baked breads
