Employees couldn’t care less if you get something edible… Veggies were old, drenched in dressing and ruined the food, skimping on everything.

Food is typical subway. As someone said, when they are busy, they are in a rush. I wish I had paid more attention during the last time I came. The worker dropped the bread, and I hope she threw it away instead of making a sandwich with it since the sub was going to my father with cancer. Only reason why I mention it is because she was giggling with her coworker.

This Subway location is in a prime location between 3 hospitals. It is open 24 hours a day and they always have customers. I think that may make them care less about making their customers happy. I guess they figure there are plenty more customers should one leave unhappy and decide never to return. After trying this place a few times I have decided to not go there unless it is a sandwich emergency. The sandwich artists are not courteous. I don’t ask for a wide variety of toppings on my sandwich. There are really only 3 – 5 things I ask for and 2 of them I ask for extra portions(I love cucumbers and green peppers!). You would think the extra line of sliced cucumbers was coming out of their salary(hey if I’m not getting lettuce, tomatoes, or spinach can’t I have a little extra cucumbers and green pepper?). They roll their eyes act annoyed as though I am a serious inconvenience. They also are often not familiar with the promotions for which they have posted signs. Once the person behind the counter argued with me that the promotion was not valid but he would not remove the sign because he admitted he did not know for sure. Usually you can write to their manager after the fact and he/she will tell you to come back to get another sandwich, but that’s not convenient. Again if I am starving and there are no other places in all of LA to eat and all the grocery store frozen food aisles are empty I might consider grabbing a sandwich from this location.

Worlds worst Subway award goes to this location. I ordered my usual tuna on 9 grain honey oat. The guy scooped and scraped the tuna then continued to pretty much push it into the bread creating basically a spread equivalent to what looks to now be a tuna mayo. K, now where is the actual meat for my sub? I then go over to the toppings and when asked for lettuce, the lady sprinkles it on like its the plague, luckily she put more on when I asked. I then asked for LOTS, I repeat, LOTS of bell peppers… I get 3 very thin slivers. Seriously, work with me here! I ask for more, I get 3 more thin slivers. I then move on to the cucumber and lucked out with 3 slices. I’ll work with it. Then, to top it off, when I ask for a LITTLE of the ranch and sweet onion, she feels the need to «go big or go home» I guess I’ll just eat my ranch and onion sauce sub with a hint of tuna and the good green stuff. Thanks! The only thing good that came out of this visit was the free sample they gave of some new sub they are introducing. Sad when the only satisfying part of that day was the free sample I go. The only saving grace for the star they earned in the review.

I hate that there aren’t many options to eat when I come to this kaiser it seems that there always in a bad mood and in a hurry to get you out. My orders are almost always wrong and it’s so upsetting because there just rushing you along with everyone else that they don’t pay attention who’s sandwich there handing off to you I actually came back with my sandwich and they didn’t even apologize for the mistake so not a good choice but there isn’t much of anything else in walking distance

First time here. I enjoy Subway but this store lacks in customer service 101. Restrooms looked as if they’ve been like that for days. Ewwww and the fire alarm was going off the whole time and no one knew how to turn it off. If your looking for a Subway taste and your in a hurry come in and get out.

It’s not the nicest or cleanest Subway, but the staff seems nice. It is convenient. There is a Togo’s around the corner on Vermont. If I had more time, I’d go there instead. But, I’ve never found this place as a health threat, just an immune system bolster. If this is your first Subway, don’t fret, they are usually better.

Ive been here many times and wasnt so fond of the atmosphere or the service. But the service seems to have gotten better recently. Honestly, there are some good servers and some bad servers, so our reviews can change according to who we get on what day. Recently I got two good servers and so I’m happy to give them a 4. The guy who served was quick and didnt mind me asking for more veggies or sauce when I asked. I thanked him for being quick because I was on the go, and he mentioned a new app for Subway California where you can order through the app and it would be ready shortly. So the next time I gave it a try, and it was awesome! I got to add all the veggies I wanted and in specific amounts. And I arrived in around 10 – 15 mins and it was ready for me to pay. And if you register you get a free cookie, so I got one! My favorite foods here are the sweet onion chicken teriyaki sub on honey oat, lightly toasted; and a chicken breast salad with honey mustard. All for good prices around $ 6(footlong/single chicken salad). Overall, I dont really like the atmosphere there, not very cozy. There are sometimes people sitting around outside on the ground near the door. But if you just want to grab a good healthy sandwich or salad, you will be happy. And try the app next time too.

gross and homeless hangout. I would have never gone in this location if there was another option next to the Kaiser, but there was not.

Subway sandwiches are served with flies!!! Flies landed on my sandwich and the staff gave me a puzzled look when I said something… Hospital staff frequent this Subway a lot… and I will pass it onto my coworkers that flies are a regular at this location.

We got over charge for a $ 2:00 cold cut they charged us $ 5.75 and one of the girls was giving my girl friend dirty looks. When ask to speak To the manager they gave us a hard time saying that this is what we had ordered the girl that made us the sandwich continue to give us dirty looks they acted very unprofessionally we were very disappointed with their service. In the past the service was fine up until now:(

I have monthly follow-up’s at the bone marrow transplant unit on the 8th floor of the Kaiser Permanente on 1515 Vermont Ave., due to my 2 bone marrow(aka stem cell) transplants at City of Hope 5⁄2009&4⁄2010. In order to beat traffic & find a good parking spot, I make the first appointment of the day with the available doctor & leave the house early. I’ve often visited this Subway, located conveniently located across the street, for a healthy breakfast while waiting for my appointment time to arrive. Chains are chains, and this one is no different. The positives are that the staff have been courteous & the service prompt everytime I’ve been here. Probably the best of all — it’s open 24 hours! I can have a foot-long BLT anytime my heart desires. Dining area has been clean, with seating being ample. Next time you’re in the area & you’re hankering for a sandwich, stop by this Subway for a quick bite. Recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

I like the staff in this place. They’re speedy and although they try to gyp me out of extra spinach, I don’t hold it against them. Apparently they’re told to conserve where they can and I get that. I don’t like the bum who’s made the outside of this place his home though. I mean, he actually knows me by now and when I’m feeling nice, I’ll talk to him but I feel guilty. Guilty for not getting him a meal and he smells sometimes too and I have to bite my tongue to not tell him to get a job. This diminishes the amazing experience that is Subway salad/sub purchasing. During lunch rush-hour, they open up two different aisles and handle the line quite well. Very impressed by all of them — especially the Indian woman. She’s super nice.

OPEN24HOURS! That alone deserves 5 stars! This Subway, located across the street from the Kaiser Foundation Hospital is convenient for those visiting or affiliated with the hospital or other hospitals located off Vermont and Sunset Blvd. The employees are fast and keep the line moving quickly especially when there are 2 lines available. I ordered the Italian BMT which was the featured sandwich for the month of July and cost only $ 5 for a foot long. For a healthy meal in a health care establishment, choose this Subway and you too will be in good health!

Ah… sweet sweet subway goodness. You’d think the hospital subway would be filled with people in hospital gowns, or crying families, but it’s actually a pretty nice place as subways go! The young fellows behind the counter make a pretty darn good sub. Ingredients don’t spill out of the sides, they don’t over do it on the sauces, and they generally have smiles! Now, this subway has a few drawbacks: If you have a hatred towards germs, the hospital aspect does add an edge. They say there is parking in the garage right around the corner, but you can go floor by floor by floor by floor and notice that all the spots are for doctors, staff or visitors. At some point you just give up and park anywhere and hope you don’t get towed. So far, so good! Besides, we haven’t ever seen anyone in the booth anyway. ;D
