I honestly was a bit skeptical at first when I went to this place. Nonetheless, every picture they took were magical, alive, and beautiful. Pricing was good as well. If you want picutres that seem alive, this is the place to go.

Studio kappa is very awesome! I recently got my wedding album and it looks very nice. They truly care about their clients. The photographer is very professional and does his best to make the photos look beautiful. I had a fun experience working with them. The photos came out unique, definitely different from standard wedding photos.

Got married on Oct 18, 2015 (Outdoor) and just received all the photos from the wedding day and it came out fantastic, amazing, beautiful. When we got the CD, it’s including a slide show with a background music and about 800 photos. Sandy (from Kappa) who is a wedding professional advisor told me we should choose about 60 photos to make our album, however, it’s really hard to choose among beautiful and precious photos. I’ve been searching lots of photographers and finally chose Kappa studio. When we went there, there are tons of sample albums. The professional photographer and Sandy and we had a meeting about theme, place and schedule. The most important part is on my wedding. They came to the wedding place earlier than us and checked the place thoroughly to get ready to shoot. As soon as we got there, he started to shoot every single moment on the day and Sandy was there for us and gave us good tips for shooting. The photographer told me what to do and how to pose and where to go. First look pic came out really good and our couple pics look like magazine pictures. I was so worried about photos because the weather was cloudy BUT he used his lense somehow and it came out the best.
He was very professional and had experienced a lot of wedding and engagement photos. He knows what he’s doing and how to get best photos and when to catch best moment shots.
We are very very satisfied their service and we definitely recommend them for important shootings.

I first got introduced to Studio Kappa almost 10 years ago while wedding planning. At the time, I lived in NY but was getting married in CA. My sister went to Studio Kappa for her engagement pictures, and I was blown away. I checked out 2 other photo studios before going to Studio Kappa, but they did not compare in quality and price. We booked with Studio Kappa right away. As we were in NY, we were limited to few weekends where we could take our engagement pictures in CA. Studio Kappa ensured that the dates/​times were available so that we could take our pictures on the weekends when we were in CA. They even kindly asked another customer if they would switch dates with us. We had a great time during both our engagement shoots! The photographer was very professional, and knew exactly what he was doing. He will work with you to create that perfect shot. He made us feel comfortable throughout the whole shoot. We still get compliments on our engagement pictures. The wedding pictures were beyond gorgeous. You could choose the pictures you want in the wedding album, or let them create it for you. As a detail oriented bride, I had specific pictures that I wanted to include in the albums. Studio Kappa actually used our wedding photos as a sample album for their studio. I have to say, the sample one that they made was much better. They really have a knack fornot just taking great pictures, but also creating beautiful pieces with it. I’ve recommended Studio Kappa to all my friends who got married after. Those who used them are 100% happy to have had Studio Kappa as part of their wedding. Those who didn’t, regret that they didn’t. When we had our two boys, Studio Kappa was at their 1^st birthday parties to capture the day. We didn’t even bother looking for other photo studios because we knew that they would be the one. They captured all the special moments of a first birthday, but also captured natural shots of the boys that were absolutely perfect. We have been in love with Studio Kappa for almost 10 years, and we will continue to go back for all special occasions. If you’re going to use Studio Kappa, make sure you have a lot of time as it will take you forever to decide which pictures to use in your albums/​frames because everything will turn out perfect!

I was married in August of 2014 and used Studio Kappa photography services throughout. I was very pleased. Photographer, Young Lee and his assistant, Sandy were extremely professional, always attentive, and made us feel very relaxed and assured. Young Lee did such an amazing job! We were so impressed by his pictures! Sandy was extremely helpful and kind throughout the wedding and she even recommended a flower person and a makeup artist who turned out to be excellent as well.
We did an engagement photo shoot in Venice and though I expected it to be stressful, it was very easy going and the photographs reflected that. They were beautiful. Young Lee knows how to make sure you end up with all the pictures you want. The shoot at the wedding was just as professional and they were just as good. Young Lee took photographs throughout the day but not in any kind of intrusive way. We were astonished to see how many photos he had taken. He was working very hard and very fast. The wedding photography was equally beautiful and something we will treasure forever! After the wedding and the photographs were all taken, they were equally helpful and kind in preparing the book and assisting us in our selections. I had such a good experience. My husband and I already had a wedding photo shoot back in Seoul but we were actually not that satisfied with their since it was too typical. no variant in poses they asked us to make:(so we decided to take another wedding photo shoot back in L. A so we arranged for wedding dress rental and the owner of that place actually recommended us Mr. Lee for vintage photoshoot:) apparently he also got awards for his work. At first, we were didn’t have much expectations since it was located in Koreatown. We were fooled:(:(:(they did an amazing job taking us this «particular shot» that everyone envies about!!! Everybody thought we took in Beverly Hills area, the price was super reasonable! The lady is just soooooo helpful and they really listen to your needs. They dont really ask you to make those typical poses like Korea. We actually did our photoshoot in one of the best place in Seoul and their work is not even comparable to what Mr. Lee did! i would recommend this place to everyone who wants a casual vintage photoshoot! love this place.

My fiancée wanted a photographer that does vintage style. We got to studio kappa and she fell in love with studio kappa. Young really did an awesome job with the photo shoot. Young and his assistant did an awesome job taking pictures, making it lots of fun and was very professional. I definitely will use young again for another event. Thank you very much! !!

We used Kappa Studio for our engagement & wedding pictures. Young Lee and his assistant, Sandy were very helpful in suggesting engagement locations and they also suggested what colors to wear depending on the place where we will be taking our photos. We looked into several other photographers, but we decided to choose Kappa because they offered the best package.
The photographers really captured our moment on the day of our wedding.

Tip #1: Have fun during your photoshoot!
Tip#2: It is very important to choose a photographer who is familiar with the area and location for the photoshoot.

We used Kappa Studio 10 years ago for our wedding and engagement pictures. We loved Young and his style. We have since referred them to our friends and about 10 out couples signed up with them and enjoyed them. We lost touch with them through the years but reconnected for 2 other family photo shoots since. Here are some thoughts regarding them…
— Young is a professional and takes his job seriously. He will work endlessly for the perfect shot. Sometimes it seems as if it is taking forever to get one shot… most likely this is because we are not perfect models. However, when the pictures comes out, he somehow captures the moment.
— We have not had any other photographers do our shoot except for Young. I have seen other people come with him and help him, but he has done all of our shots.
— I appreciate the current location of his studio. Although it is in Korea town, there is ample parking on the streets and in a private lot behind the studio.
— His current studio is great and has all the props that you need.
— We had 11 people in our last photo shoot. A lot of photographers would have charged an astronomical fee for that size of a group. But Young gave us a great deal and spent a lot of time with us. Our pictures came out beautifully.
I know that there are hundreds of other photographers in K-​town, but Kappa Studio is the one that you want. All in all, we have enjoyed the experience with Kappa. We will most definitely utilized them again in the future.

Kappa was our wedding photographer and I cannot stop raving about what a wonderful job they did for our pictures. They did such an amazing job that everyone wanted to know who took our photos. And since our wedding 5 of my friends had their wedding photos taken by Kappa. Not only do they take fantastic pictures they also provide the most beautiful album and prints. I don’t think I have seen a better album than the ones provided by Kappa.
I loved working with both Young (the photographer) and Sandy (the office manager). Sandy is the best. She really is so helpful. She was very patient and willing to help in any way. I had so many questions about the wedding and photo shoots and she always answered all of them and never rushed me. She gave me advice on what she has found to look good in photos — clothing choices, hair style, make-​up, etc. She even helped me find other vendors for my wedding. I felt like she was my mini wedding planner giving me helpful advice and recommendations.
Young was very professional and very artistic. He was able to get beautiful shots of my wedding. He is able to capture timeless shots and knows exactly what pictures to take. I look back at my wedding photos and realized that he took so many memorable photos that I would not have thought of taking. He has such attention to detail. During our engagement photos, he made an effort to make sure that both my husband and I looked our best. He gave great direction and made sure that we were in the right pose and angle that flattered both of us.
Since Kappa specializes in weddings, when I had my son I took him to a studio specializing in baby photography. The photos were not what I thought they would be. I realized that I was spoiled by the expertise of Young, a skilled photographer. I went back to Kappa for my son’s first birthday party and they came out so beautifully. I now realize how skilled Young is and that not anyone can take beautiful photos.
I highly recommend Kappa to anyone looking for a wedding photographer.

It’s been over two years since our wedding but I still get asked by friends and friends of friends who our wedding photographer was. I can’t thank Kappa Photography enough for our amazing pictures and all the fun memories my husband and I have of our engagement photo shoot with Young, the main photographer at Kappa. Having fun at your engagement shoot and seeing how great the pictures turn out really get you excited for the rest of your wedding planning and for your big day.
We met with over eight referred photographers before deciding to go with Kappa. I’m anal that way and since we were going to spend a fortune on our wedding, finding an experienced photographer we could trust was very important to us. After looking through a number of albums at the studio of Young’s past work, we were pleasantly surprised to see that a number of other folks we knew or were acquaintances of also had their wedding pictures done by Kappa.
To be frank, my number one criterion for our photographer was the ability to take great shots that not only capture the moments well but also make the couple look GOOD in the pictures. I don’t know about you, but I’m not a big fan of photographers who are so focused on taking artistic shots that the couple does not come out looking photogenic. For me, engagement and wedding pictures need to be flattering for the couple first and foremost. During our engagement shoot, I told Young that I was concerned about my weight gain in certain areas, and he made a point to take pictures in the kind of lighting and angles that made me and my husband look our very best in our most candid moments.
Another pet peeve of mine are inexperienced photographers who don’t have the foresight to know what would make timeless pictures and have to constantly check their camera playback screen on the wedding day only to miss the essential moments. Young just knew what he was doing and you can tell by how quickly he moves/​works. He’s not overly chatty/​friendly but he has a contagious energy that comes out when you get to your location that makes you smile and feel at ease in front of the camera.
We are absolutely thrilled with our pictures and the fond memories we have of our photo sessions with Young. We can’t stop smiling every time we look at the pictures!!!

We just went in for our «consultation» to ck out rates and their portofolios. The lady that works here, not sure if she’s the owner or not, was extremely helpful. She worked around our budget and was very accomodating. We booked our 2 engagement sessions and our wedding day and now I’m just PRAYING that the pics will come out somewhat nice.
I’ll post an update once we complete our first session.
Just FYI: We also went to Colorbox because that was our other option, but the lady wasn’t as friendly there AND its true that they take their pics at all the same locations as every other perons’ locations. However, it does seem like their picture quality is nice and they airbrush the pics to the max.
