I spoke with someone originally 3 weeks (³⁄₂₀) ago to try and schedule with Michele for color as in advance as necessary, and was going to come from out of town just for this. I’ve been a fan of her color tech work for a while. I finally got times I could schedule, one week prior, and they were mid to late in the day. I just felt like I wasn’t given any appointment making priority and was told that by now all the morning appointments were booked. Disappointed. I managed at Toni&Guy San Antonio for a couple years and they’ve won national awards, so I know what to expect and how to treat my hair artists! I could have been a loyal life customer but just felt like I wasn’t taken seriously.

All I can say is thank god for Cole! I’ve lived in LA, Seattle and DC and have been searching for years to find the right hairstylist in Venice.
I had a wonderful one in DC but unfortunately when I moved back, there just didn’t seem to be anyone who was as attentive as knowledgeable in the area.
Most places I tried just wanted to do a quick fix and were all about the number of people they could fit in instead of the experience. Plus, they were typically over-​crowded and felt more like sweatshops instead the relaxing min-​vaca that haircuts should be.
Cole does a wonderful job making you feel comfortable in their space and knows exactly what kind of cut will frame any face.
I absolutely LOVE her and recommend her to anyone who’s looking to treat themselves to a gorgeous cut!

I have been to the best salons in NYC, LA, MIA, SFO. Stephanie is by far my favorite. When people say that a hair cut can change your life what they mean is a hair cut by Stephanie will change your life.

I’ve been to Cole twice now, once for a Brazilian Blowout, and once for a regular haircut, and both have been amazing experiences! On both occasions, I was the only person in the salon, which makes it feel exclusive and that I’m getting the best attention, which is pretty rare! Cole is down to earth, funny, and knows what she’s doing. I saw her today to take care of my sad, dried out ends and explained that I really wanted to keep as much length as possible, but trusted her to make my mop look healthy once more– even if it needed a major chop. Mission accomplished! My hair still has plenty of length, but I no longer cringe at the mirror! THANK YOU COLE! I can’t recommend her enough.

I highly suggest going to Stephanie! After searching for awhile in LA — I randomly came across her about 3 years ago and i’ve stuck very close to her ever since!
1.) Her hair cuts are always on point. Every every time. She generally with give you a blow out and then cut your hair dry.
2.) She could charge a LOT more for the amount of experience and expertise she has — but doesn’t.
3.) She does it all — Cut, Color, Extensions, Men’s grooming.
4.) I’m fussy. Abnormally fussy. I like to try random new things wtih my hair (ex: when red was in… i told her to try copper, then put more blonde in then back to copper) She worked with me and was great at making my crazy colors look polished.
She recently opened up a new shop on Abbott Kinney that is so relaxing and perfect! You can have a glass of vino and actually enjoy getting your hair done without listening to tons of other chatter in a big salon setting.
She’s busy — so be sure to book in advance.

She is confident and you will be too when you let her do her magic. I have very thin hair and told her to do what she thought would work. I loved it! The space is so cool, very hip and GREAT ATMOSPHERE! Stephanie also does hair for movie and rock stars. so if you have to wait it is worth it! gmarsel
