Sorry We’re Open Barbershop

The absolute worst service! I just moved to Hollywood and looking for a new barber. People hanging outside (not uncommon for barbershops), I walk in and get ignored. Finally one barber semi acknowledges me. I wait an hour for one barber to finish cutting a head and then he just sits down to watch tv. Fifteen minutes later the other barber finishes cutting a head, packs up his bag and leaves!!! People upstairs hanging out and smoking weed, you can hear a baby crying up there as well! I’m not sure what kind of establishment this is but «Sorry, we’re open» is correct, I’m sorry y’all open too because y’all suck! So in all, after waiting an hour and fifteen minutes and being completely ignored, I got up and left, still no acknowledgment.

Came in with a friend who needed a cut during our vacation. We’re from the east coast, and looked up a place close by to where we were staying. The environment is welcoming and fun. C2 did the cut, and we really enjoyed talking with him. He took his time and did a great job; the finished look was clean.
Would definitely come back if we visit again, and would recommend the place to anyone.

I really enjoy coming here, I’m a business entertainment student and lived her for 2 years and this place has never failed me in quality service hair cuts.

If you wanna a Boss hair cut,! This is the spot!!! They line you up perfect, take their time, and I never had a bad cut! The guy with tattoos oh his face straight kills my hair cut every time I go! Everyone compliments my hair and ask where I got it done at.

The bad reviews on here are FALSE.
I’ve been coming here since they opened. Everyone is cool. Eric runs it and that’s my guy. Just get your barber’s number and schedule your appointments with them. It’s a barbershop in Hollywood, it’s not a charity. If you’re a walk in you’re a walk in… smarten up.

Ok so I’ve been coming here since back when they opened… When Eric ran the place, now they suck… Last 3x’s I’ve been here I’ve been charged a different price for a line-​up (I have dreads) this last time pissed me off because the cat with the tattoo on his face charges me $ 20 for a lineup! It’s not so much the price that bothered me but if your gonna charge that much then the end result should match the price, he gave me more like a $ 10 line up… Either way they lost my my business no fucking consistency

Every time I call in, to make sure I get the time slot that is open and it always seems to work out for me.
Walk-​ins always work out too when I’m in the area on some more random tip. There’s never a long wait. I’m usually in and out in an hour tops.
Andrew is my go to guy there and always comes correct with the fades!

Literally my worst customer service experience of my life. DO NOT go here if you need your hair cut in less than 2 hours (or more.) Went in between shifts at work (3:30pm.) literally waited an hour and a half and was switched to three different barbers before someone would cut my hair (5:00 pm.) all I want is a simple fade people. I literally had to offer the guy $ 40 to finish as much of my hair cut as was possible to get back to work on time and finish my night at work because when it was 5:30 pm, he only had about ¹⁄₃ of a fade finished. At this point I’m pot committed to the hair cut. However I did get to hear the barber haggle with his insurance on the phone while he cut my hair. This all literally happened like this. Despite the drinking and weed smoking, it looked like they were cutting good hair. And to be fair, the 35 minute half finished $ 40 haircut was a pretty damned good fade. I assume if I were unemployed and literally needed some filler for my day, I’d come here to get my haircut. Actually, probably not. But again, definitely do not go here if you need a good haircut in under 2 hours.

Depending on the time and day that you arrive here but terriblle service!!! The barber dose not take his job siriuslly! Try floyds on willcox and selma, its much better.

Really good Barber, cool guy, has a PlayStation 3 so u could play while u wait, or watch netflix! Read signs outside for street parking, will get towed certain hours. Check him out! Peace!

Over Priced! Bad Service. I’m new to the area and was in a pinch. Didn’t expect to pay so much for a regular but hey, you live and you learn. I will definitely look elsewhere for my next haircut.

I moved to LA about 6 years ago and one of the first things I sought out was a dope barber. I happened to stumble upon a spot in Hollywood and learned that they only had one barber on staff at the time. I gave him a shot and 6 years and hundreds of cuts later, my man Eric G is still cutting me, now at his own spot… SWO is hands down the best barber shop in SoCal. Eric, Church, C2, Danny, Abner and David are great not only for their unrivaled skills as barbers but also for their customer service and attention to detail. The shop is very well kept, the guys are very friendly and the atmosphere in the place is what going to a barber shop is all about. I go in at least once a week!
I HIGHLY recommend SWO to anyone that cares about their personal grooming and wants to truly enjoy their time in the chair. I promise you, you will not be disappointed. SWO is the best!

Go see my man ERIC G. He’s been my barber for over 5 years now and I’ve been going to this shop since day one. I stop in once a week to get a fresh fade on the top and a fresh line up on the beard.
Real barbershop atmosphere… sports, music, politics.
Clean fades, line ups and cuts ALL DAY from any barber here… Church, C2, Danny Dolla, David and Abner. I am one of MANY regulars here, and can tell you right now that the barbers here appreciate the loyalty and take care of us.
Don’t listen to any negative review. If you are looking for a bougie salon, look elsewhere. And if you’re looking for a $ 5 hole in the wall shop, look elsewhere.

Danny is the man! He always hooks me up with a crisp design. He really is talented and im always getting compliments. I leave the shop feeling like a million bucks

Been the this spot a few times. Because they’re close and reasonably priced. Each time never getting anything remote to what I wanted, which is odd when all I wanted was a simple «Even Steven» with a 1A. The owner didn’t even know what a 1A was and damn near cut me bald. (It comes AFTER a 1in., not before).
I went to 2 different barbers and neither one was as tight as what I got when I lived back east. It’s a shame. The search for a barber out west continues…

Walked in and waited 45 minutes while other people received service. Wasn’t even acknowledged until I decided to get up to leave. If you want customers to stay and spread word of mouth– be more welcoming.
Should’ve left when the one barber upstairs was being loud and obnoxious and made homophobic and Transphobic remarks about people walking by on the sidewalk.

I bring my son here practically every week… The shop is kind of small but they make it work… Church is my sons barber & it seems as if everyone is always waiting on him… (Sighs)
The location is awesome… While waiting I’ll go to the Beverly center & do some shopping… Watch out for celebrities… The game (rapper) has been seen here multiple times…

Eric cut my hair on a Sunday afternoon. Legit spot, good vibe, good price.
if your shy it may not be the place for you.
If you can laugh and don’t mind barber banter this is the spot.

Bad service. Bad Haircut.
C2 walked out on my haircut to talk to the other barbers outside that were smoking weed and drinking champagne.
The fade was not up to the reviews I read before coming.
No plans to return. Sorry you’re open is right.
