Got my first SE phone last year, the w580i through an online retailer. I was so excited about the mp3 that I didn’t check out the reviews of this phone. Common issues were number keys cracking and possible firmware issues on the early models. Mine was apparently an early model since my phone suffered from these very problems. I read on various forums that AT&T will give you a refurbished one, but SE will either repair or replace if you’re within the warranty of 1 year. Like Lance T. said, they have remarkable support! I reported my issue online, but the email reply I received said to call the support line. I called, explained my problems and they recommended I send it for repair. They emailed me detailed instructions and said I would receive my phone or a replacement within 10 business days. You could even check the status of the repair online. I called them to change my shipping address during the time my phone was being serviced, and they even checked the status of the repair for me. A new phone was shipped to me(same color too!), and it looks like a newer model since the phone seems sturdier as do the keys. I’m happy with SE and especially their customer service. Another cool thing: you can download cool images, ringtones and videos for FREE from their website via your pc or phone!

I only buy cell phones made by Sony Ericsson. Why? Because they are made of the finest materials, are very durable(I’ve dropped each of my cell phones in a drunken stupor at least 20 times each), and have remarkable Support online if you should ever have trouble with them. I just upgraded my W850 phone to the W980. Paid a whopping $ 500 for it! It’s been a week now, and I’ve gotten plenty of compliments everytime I’ve busted it out and used it in public. Hey, it’s hard to be humble when you live in L.A.
