These guys are liars and have horrible people skills. I don’t know how they got these good reviews.
My girlfriend made an appointment for 5pm. I was waiting for them at my residence until 5:30. I figured they would knock on the door.
In their defense, they called ONCE and text me a couple times. Text? Anyways, so they called.
I got my cell at 5:30 and realized the missed call. I call them back and the workers had already went home. 30 minutes buffer and they were from my residence and home. It’s Friday, I get it.
What got me extremely upset was the owner Juan. He was saying that they knocked on my door and spoke to someone telling them that they were there to «get some things». What the hell? First of all, who the hell goes to a place and tells a stranger that you’re there to «get some things?» Second, I was there! My family was close to the front door and NO ONE SPOKE TO ANYONE! When I asked him what address they went to because they might’ve gone to the wet oh my God residence, Juan became defensive and said they waited for 45 minutes. 45 minutes? No sir. I called you 30 minutes after the time I thought you would be there and your workers were already in the wind. I should’ve kept my cell phone close to me if I would’ve known that no one was going to knock on the damn door!
Don’t lie to me and then tell me I’m in the wrong. I’d rather pay a little more money for a more professional company with some integrity. Also, they only take cash.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND DEALING WITH THEM!

Bob and David were totally awesome. Moved us within a 3 hour time span including help with a fridge. Stairs mean nothing to the stair master! Thanks guys.

I used this company twice in the last week to move my belongings. They were friendly, professional, fast, and on-​time. I will use them for future moves and I highly recommend them to anyone who is moving.

Smart Move got to my apartment early & moved all of our stuff in within 1 hour. These guys are fast, professional, and they don’t complain. We had a Budget truck that we we were unloading into an apartment up 1 flight of stairs. Everything was handled carefully. I would highly recommend these guys.

My advice is just get two movers. The third guy (the largest son) doens’t do a thing. He is used for wrapping things and help move the larger furniture and waits around until someone calls him to assist them with a move. The skinny guy has more energy and the third is a waste of money as the move doesn’t go any faster. They just charge more with the third mover. They are two sons and a father. The cost for the day was about $ 950 with tip and when I asked about the breakdown it didn’t make sense but I just paid because he didn’t make sense in the explanation and I was just too tired to deal with it. I also called because I was missing a couple of items (two boxes) and they didn’t return the call. They have good PR and friendly to talk to when they did arrive. I won’t use them again though.

I had driven my things to my new apartment and so only needed help unloading the moving truck. I scheduled over the phone and was not informed then, nor in the confirmation text of any charge minimums. I had already given Juan my card when I was shown the charges (my mistake) and was very surprised to find that I was going to be charged $ 210 for two workers to work an hour and fifteen minutes. When I asked to discuss the issue, Juan first ignored me, gave me packing advise when I asked again, and then told me that the real minimum was four hours and that I was getting a break. He was sure to give me his card in case I needed storage space.
It’s unfortunate that the money issue was handled so poorly, the two workers that actually helped move my items were very friendly and professional. I can only comment on the unload services, but I feel like I was somewhat taken and I would imagine what happened to me, happens often.

Wow. These guys are amazing! I would hire them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone. They are incredibly friendly, nice, hyper-​organized, careful, super fast and affordable. My last move was a nightmare… and I was dreading doing it again. But these guys made the experience enjoyable. They are THE best in LA. Hire them.

Juan and Eddie are the best! Very professional and nice. I have never seen movers work so organized before. They moved me out of my 3 bedroom house without a problem and they were fast and didn’t beak or damage one thing. They stacked all of my boxes neatly (not like my last movers) and set all of my furniture exactly where I wanted. Their hourly rate was great compared to other companies that I had called. I am very happy and satisfied thanks!

Not a smart move to use Smart Move! They do not itemize your move so if you have more than they thought, too bad! You have to move it yourself! I have always had moving companies either come out and inspect the items to move, or go room by room with me over the phone. These guys made another appointment after me and couldn’t finish the job. I had a two bedroom apartment…
After I told them I wasn’t going to pay until the job was complete they threatened to leave and put my belongings in storage and sue me. They would not take out a single item until I went and paid them CASH! They also left one of my televisions on the wall at the old house that I had to hire another company to remove.
I have moved back and forth from New York, twice!, and this was the WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!

If anyone deserves a 10 stars, this company certain would.
Juan, Eddie, Henry were absolutely by far, the best MOVERS ever. I have my share of hiring movers, and I couldn’t think of anything bad about them to talk about.
They arrived on time, well organized as a team and structured. And most importantly, they all seem to enjoy and take pride of their jobs. I never have movers that actually were HAPPY with their jobs.
They moved my furntures without leaving scratches or dents. They also took time to secure all the transporting items. They communicated with me every step of the way and will arrange furnitures in the fashion you would like ite.
If I ever need to look for movers, they are definitely on top of my list.

Juan and Eddie are great. First used them to move my business and like them so much I used them to help when I moved my house.
Friendly, nice, polite, professional and about getting things done.
My only note would be that sometimes when they first answer the phone, they can sound a little cold, but that’s probably because they’re moving something! Then they warm up right away.
Definitely recommend. Actually, already recommended them twice in the past month.

Hands down the best movers in Los Angeles! I’ve moved ten times in ten years… don’t ask… and I’ve come to expect low levels of service from movers so when I moved this weekend and got the stress free professional service I did I was blown away. These guys are nice, prompt, professional… and the lowest priced around. You can’t beat it and unfortunately Im a guy who knows.

Using Smart Move was the best decision I’ve ever made. Not only did they bring the truck and do all the lifting, but they shrink-​wrapped our couches and wrapped each piece of wood furniture with a moving blanket and shrink wrap. I just paid the hourly rate, no extra charges for wrapping or mileage, and we moved 40 miles away. I will use them every time I move from now on!

Such nice guys and so efficient! I was nervous about our first experience with movers but it was fantastic to sit back and watch someone haul all of our belongings down a steep flight of stairs. Furniture was wrapped, they were extremely careful and did an overall great job. Worth every penny!

They were awesome. They came on time and met all my needs with how I wanted my belongings wrapped and moved. I would definitely use them again in the future and would refer them to anyone that needs help moving.

These guys are excellent! Their hourly rate was decent. They were fast and careful, and didn’t try and nickle and dime me after the move for things like «travel time» or «materials». What more could you want from your movers?
