Meditation is the practice of bringing your gentle attention to a focus again and again. The focus could be your breath, a mantra, body sensations, or anything that allows you to return to the present moment in a gentle way. My meditation practice is time spent in a calm space that serves to replenish my strength and balance at a deep level.
Mindfulness is a practice that entails bringing a non-judgmental awareness to whatever is happening in the present moment. This goes hand-in-hand with certain types of meditation and can also be practiced in everyday actions. When I am open to being fully present in a moment and allowing it to be as it is, the miracle of life is wonderfully apparent.

My home base is Los Angeles, which is where I opened the Sitting Lily Meditation studio. My goal is to assist people who are interested in learning to meditate or those looking to recommit to their practice. I am originally from Boston and lived in Philadelphia while getting my BA in Fine Arts at the University of Pennsylvania.
My own spiritual journey brought me to meditation and mindfulness, and I have been fortunate to study both disciplines under wonderful teachers. When I decided to focus on meditation professionally, I became certified in the Simple, Easy, Every Day Meditation™ (SEED) method, created by Sarah McLean. What drew me to her type of teaching was its accessibility to anyone. There is no need to change your beliefs, buy new clothes, or sit in any uncomfortable way. I am pleased to offer meditation training for individuals or groups looking to learn a simple way to incorporate meditation into daily life.
