NOTTHESAMESIRCHARLESCLEANERS! The new owners are still using the best name in dry cleaning, «Sir Charles». I have been using this dry cleaners since the early 90’s and the owners then knew all regular customers by name and they took PRIDE in all of their work. Sadly, something happened legally that caused the former management lose the business, and I love the family that used to run the business. I’m tried the new owners and the quality of service was much lower, all of my tabs in my dress shirts were melted and pressed to hell. Over starched when I always ask for zero starch. I have since found a new cleaners in Culver City that I love so far. Too bad for the former owners of Sir Charles. :(

I took seven items in for cleaning and alterations. 3 tops 2 for cleaning and 1 top for cleaning and alterations along with 4 long summer sun dresses. 1 dress was brand new still with tag on needed alterations, which I asked for hemming and tapering. This dress was returned with just hemming. I had 1 dress just cleaned and 2 dresses clean and hemmed, one of these dresses was not hemmed. I paid $ 136.70 so of course when I discovered that one dress had not been hemmed a few days after receiving them back. I thought there would not be any issue in bringing this to their attention which I quickly found out that good customer service is not important to the new owners. She questioned what I was saying like I was trying to get a free alteration or something. She remembered my other dresses but not this one which was very noteworthy. Another customer in the store even ask me where I got it from while I was explaining to the owner. The owner then ask me to bring all the items back so she could see which I ran home and did, just to come back and receive the same treatment as she stared at the hem that had not been done, which she had already acknowledged before she sent me home to retrieve my other clothes. After about five minutes of this nonsense I just told her never mind don’t even worry about it, and that I just wanted to bring it to their attention as I gathered my clothing to leave. So I guess they got over on me because It cost me $ 35.95 to have this one cotton sundress cleaned. I live in View Park which there business is in a very convenient location but they lack good customer service, common courtesy and their prices are too HIGH. Jane, the old owner of this dry cleaner was great, but unfortunately she lost the business in February, 2014. I had been coming to this dry cleaner for over five years and was sad to see Jane go, but thought I’d give the new owners a try. Never again! The quality of cleaning was the same, but the prices were not! The prices were much much higher, though the new owner claimed they were the same. $ 39.95 for three dresses that the new owner marked as «silk» when two of them were cotton. No thank you! Plus, the new owner isn’t very friendly at all, which I expect when I’m giving you thousands of dollars a year to clean my clothes!

There is something to say about fast service and great service… usually you can’t get them both at the same time… whenever you come to Sir Charles, you will always get both… and with a smile…

Best cleaners ever. The family has been operating at this location for years. They provide high quality service with a personal touch, including remember names, preferences, etc. Be nice… these folks are golden. They haven’t forgotten the meaning of customer service!!!
