Silver Lake

A beautiful respite from hectic. Cozy kitsch, eclectic Silver Lake is more analog than digital. If you like it vintage, this is the place for you. There’s yoga, acupuncture, vegan food, loads of babies, strollers, small shops and cafés. Two parks, and loads of trees of all species. This being the heart of spring, the Jacaranda trees are in full bloom all over Silver Lake and the city of El Ley.
It’s named after a man with the last name of Silver. So, it’s Silver Lake. Like Mr. Silver’s lake not Silverlake, as in the lake is silver. There’s a reservoir here, too. Plus, doggy parks and Silver Lake’s neighbors include Echo Park, Los Feliz and Atwater Village.
