Lucky for us, we were able to book Monica, who came with numerous recommendations. When we met her, we immediately liked her. She has a certain je nais se quois that people gravitate towards, including babies. It’s like she can communicate to babies and instantly bond with them and when she makes that connection, *click click click*, she captures these fun and precious moments. Not only did she make our baby laugh, but we also couldn’t help but giggle anytime she made our son laugh. Even our guests loved her! If you want the best for your family, hire Monica!

Briana is AMAZING. She captured our sons first birthday which was a rockstar theme. They are WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Had the best experience with Monica! I wasn’t planning on getting professional photos of my newborn because I didn’t with my first, but after looking around online I really liked their work and decided to set up a shoot. My husband was leaving town so it had to be soon, and within 48 hours Monica was here! She was beyond wonderful with my impatient almost 3 year old (not easy), and when I forgot to get a photo of my newborn with a special monogrammed blanket she came back to my house after she had already left! To boot, I had planned on maaaybe ordering 10 photos. I ordered 25!!! And easily could have ordered 100. There were so many beautiful photos to choose from, I couldn’t believe it. Monica even rush delivered a newborn photo so I could make the baby announcements. All in all, extremely happy with the process and with the results. If you’re on the fence, do it! You won’t regret it!

I couldn’t be more pleased with our Shoots & Giggles photo shoot and photos. I have always wanted to have a professional family photo, but had all kinds of reservations about the final pictures being cheesy or overly staged or just not to my taste. I really wanted something that captured us as we are (on a good day that is) without being phony or too formal. The day of our shoot Briana came to our house and instantly put us at ease. The shoot didn’t feel like a shoot at all. The kids clowned around like they normally do. Briana laughed and chatted with us — occasionally directing, but mostly letting us be who we are. She picked several locations based on our thoughts and the available light and she made sure that she got good coverage — we have a four month old baby and a four-​year-​old, so she made sure to take many many photos. The results are absolutely wonderful. The lighting and setups are natural, beautiful and original. Everyone in the photos looks genuine and relaxed. I got exactly what I was hoping for — a personal record of our family that we will treasure. I love the pictures so much I have to admit I have a hard time not looking at them every time I sit down at my computer. Our experience has been so positive that I know I will want to do this again in a few years and will definitely call Shoots & Giggles again.

Shoots and giggles… you get exactly that and uh-​mazing photos! We’ve had family photos with Briana twice now and both times we were beyond pleased with our experience and the memories we have forever from her brilliant photography.
My kids were 6 months when we did our first shoot so it was quick and pleasant. Not the case with our most recent shoot now that they are 18 months. They wanted nothing to do with the photoshoot and were whiny, crying, practically running away any chance they could get. BUT Briana was patient the whole time. And you could hardly tell from the photos that we had a tough time with this shoot. We absolutely LOVE our photos!!! Thank you Briana and Shoots and Giggles Photography!

I am a long-​timer when it comes to Shoots and Giggles. I first found them for my child’s birth and then used them to memorialize each passing year for my daughter and me.
My first photo shoot with Monica was sublime. Then, for my daughter’s first birthday, I was delighted with the quality of the photos (despite my daughter being a tad feisty that day), kids at one can be unruly, and my family who lives long distance, cherished the results. Sadly, for my daughter’s second birthday, since my husband is in the entertainment business, I was persuaded to use a «famous» top-​notch photographer. I was heartbroken by the results. The photos, while of good quality, were severely lacking in what I call «the baby essence». They just felt like very professional photos taken by a very fancy camera and a very fancy photographer. No feeling, no emotion and most of all, no connection to my baby. A year lost. Forever.
I vowed never to make that mistake again. By year three, I made sure that Monica (our go-​to at Shoots and Giggles) was present. She was all I had remembered — charming, patient, kind and most of all — able to capture the «baby essence“of that year.
By the fourth birthday, I scheduled my mother to be in town for the session. Not a week goes by that my mother does not call and thank me for the photo (which I had blown up into a 20×30 canvas for my mom of the three of us girls). The moment was beyond belief — she constantly comments on, «the little hand of my granddaughter that clasped my neck as you, my daughter, held my hand. It was three generations.» This could never had been possible without Monica, nor could have it have been so effortless and natural. I thank her to the moon and back for that moment.
I sincerely look forward to our future moments together and know that not only has Monica become our family photographer, but part of our lives. She is there to capture the most cherished moments and she relishes in them.
About Monica and Briana — they are absolutely divine to work with. They are real — they are both recent moms and both understand the magic of each moment, of each year. They connect with each parent and really try to grasp the connection between each parent and child. If there were words to explain how fantastic each experience is with them, I would surely use them but, alas, I am lacking. I have one child and for us, she is the moon and the stars. She is our entire world. For the girls at Shoots and Giggles to be able to capture that in a photo is magnificent, divine. I assure anyone who chooses to utilize their competent services, they will be forever thankful.

I was heartbroken to read such a review. Not only did the person NOT use Shoots and Giggles’ services but they also never even met the delightful ladies. Unfortunate. Devastating actually. Any savvy person would know that a contract for a small business would wish for any issues or claims to attempt to be resolved personally before posting a lasting and damaging post. In the days of internet-​based media, I admire a company that can have such positive postings overall. It is far too easy to post negatively, and far too much a bother to post a positive remark. Sad but true. Use your intellect and your heart when searching for a photographer. This many positive remarks are a clear indication of the type of professionals the ladies are. Also the photos speak for themselves — the love is evident within each. It can not be imitated or duplicated. Every day, I walk past the wall of photos in my TV room and my heart warms in seeing the splendid photos my daughter and I had taken using Shoots and Giggles. One can’t go wrong with them; their love shows in each photo. Don’t miss a moment.

We have used them twice for our family pics and they are really such a pleasure to work with. Briana was our photographer and we absolutely love her. She always makes sure to get amazing shots or not she will keep going until she is satisfied with them. Her and her partner Monica also make a good team by taking pictures while the other is trying to make our baby smile and laugh.
My favorite part is when I get to visit them at the studio and check out all the pics. There are so many good shots it is so hard to narrow them down as our favorites! And the quality of all their pictures are simply stunning. They are truly high end photographers that know their stuff!

We love Shoots and Giggles! I first came across their website back in 2009, just a few months after our daughter (first child) was born. After looking at all the beautiful pictures on their website, I was actually disappointed that I hadn’t found them sooner so that I could have had them take my daughter’s pictures as a newborn. Anyhow, I decided to book a photo session with them when my daughter turned 6 months. Monica arrived on time and was friendly, helpful, patient, and professonal. I was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and natural my husband and I felt having our pictures taken at home while we played with our baby girl. It was actually more fun than I imagined it would be! Just a few weeks later we received the link to our photo slideshow, which was set to music, and I actually got a little teary eyed while watching it. There were so many wonderful pictures that it was difficult to choose which ones we wanted to purchase. That said, the pictures are a bit pricey, but the memories we now have are priceless! Since that time (September 2009) we’ve booked S & G for our daughter’s 1^st birthday, our son’s newborn pictures (absolutely adorable), and most recently, our son’s 1^st birthday. Both, my daughter and son will have a beautiful photo album of their 1^st birthdays right down to the last detail! These girls can make a birthday napkin look amazing… seriously! I have always been happy with the pictures that both, Monica and Brianna have taken. We are always glad to see them because they are both such nice people, so easy to get along with, and they are both very talented photographers. So, thank you Monica and Brianna for everything! We will definitely be booking more sessions with you in the years to come!

We hired Shoots and Giggles to do our holiday photo shoot, and it was well above and beyond our expectations. let me just say that we started off with our kiddo being a SUPER grouch and thought we’d have to end the session after 2 minutes, go home and try again another day, but Monica got us to take him on a little bit of a walk around and warm up. In the meantime, she kept shooting just me and my husband and my son continued to sulk (for no reason – just being a moody child!). After a bit, she started to snap some photos of him with his arms crossed and eyes closed laying on the grass, because he refused to cooperate, and then he slowly opened his eyes and she ended up capturing what have been some of the very best photos of him – ever! He is very photogenic, anyway, but when you are working with a talented photographer, that is the key to bringing out the best in you and your kids! She really ended up just moving the session along so smoothly, that he forgot about his sulkiness and we ended up with some truly amazing photos that will last a lifetime! We could not be happier with Shoots and Giggles and all of the wonderful photos we got from that day. Did I mention that re-​touching is INCLUDED with the photos? yes, it is… at least a certain amount of it (can’t remember but it was sufficient – and well done!!!). We have worked with many talented photographers but I feel that S & G were up in the top 2 – ever! Seriously, I would never hesitate recommending them and their amazing talents to anyone.
In fact, we will be calling them after our 2^nd baby comes along to get the beautiful first moments :)

After finding their website through an online search and seeing these reviews on Unilocal,I decided to give them a try for event photography. I inquired by email about their availability and after agreeing on a date, wanted to book them and asked for a contract.
Problem was, they sent over a contract that had me promise not to leave any reviews for them anywhere if it was going to be negative. I thought this was unreasonable since I found them online I should be able to leave an honest review of their services and thought it odd that I would contractually be barred from doing so. I asked them to remove this portion from the contract and requested a face to face meeting to deliver a deposit (so I can meet who I am hiring). In no time, they replied with a terse email saying that they were not available on that date after all.
So, pretty shady and actually glad that I didn’t hire them. And if you are considering them, I would take these 5 star reviews with a grain of salt and read the contract if you decide to go forward.

We are a repeat customer of Shoots and Giggles because they do fantastic work!
Last year, with our boys being almost 2 & 6, we decided to take some generational shots to capture the special moments of the vivacious boys with us and their grandparents.
Monica was extremely patient and professional. She gave us great advice on how to dress and how to prepare for the session. She came to our house and gave us some great suggestions on appropriate indoor and outdoor locations for the shoot. She was probably at our house for over 2 hours. She was patient when the boys needed to take their bio and snack breaks, and was extremely friendly and thorough when our big group had various questions. Our toddler decided after 15 minutes of shooting that he was done and was entirely uncooperative. Monica was very good with kids and was really great at stealing shots with our toddler while he wasn’t paying attention. When we retreated back inside the house to calm the toddler meltdown, our toddler decided to dance and Monica was quick in having her camera ready to capture those moments. So even though we did not have too many pictures of our toddler, the ones we got were great candids! Monica was also great in making sure the needs of the grandparents vs us are met.
A few weeks later, we went to Monica’s studio to view and select our photos and products. She prepared a great slide show with a great background music and was great in suggesting products that we may like. She never hard sold us which was great. We ended up in her studiofor probably way longer than we should be, and given my husband and I both work, the session started late to begin with and we never felt that Monica rushing us.
A few months ago, we were delighted to receive an email from Monica about a «mini-​session» at a very reasonable price. We took her up on it. We met her and Briana at the park they designated (they schedule multiple families on the same day for these mini sessions), and the both of them worked great together in taking family and the individual shots of the boys. I loved that there are 2 cameras clicking away for we have 2 very active boys. The photos are of really high quality and we just love, love, love the candid nature of the shots.
We highly, highly recommend Shoot & Giggles.

I cannot say enough about how much I love Shoots & Giggles! I found their website online last year and was blown away by the quality of their work. I spoke to Briana and I loved how friendly she was. We decided to book the Baby Steps package and now, a year later I feel like she’s apart of our family!
Shoots & Giggles has a mega list of things that make them awesome. Their customer service, variety of packages and products, patience, flexibility, and professionalism make them super stars in my book. Briana is excellent at what she does and it shows in her work.

Shoots & Giggles is amazing! Briana has a creative eye and is incredibly talented. We were fortunate enough to have her shoot our pregnancy photos and fell in love with her and the quality of her work. So much so that we decided to hire her for the birth of our son, and have had her back for several rounds of follow up photo sessions, including our son’s first birthday (which turned out better than we could have ever hoped). Briana and Monica are always thoughtful, responsive and caring. We never feel rushed during our sessions, and are always so comfortable with them around … they are like family! We will definitely be using Shoots & Giggles again, again and again and will continue to recommend them to all of our friends.

My wife and I were lucky enough to have been introduced to Briana at Shoots & Giggles through our doula. Briana did an absolutely amazing job of capturing timeless photos during the birth. We have also hired her to shoot our son’s 3 month, 6 month and 1 year photos. Briana is a brilliant photographer and has the experience to understand exactly what to look for as shooting babies is not the easiest endeavor. She is also very responsive and you can quickly tell that she truly enjoys her work. To top it off, her bubbly personality is icing on the cake! We highly recommend Shoot & Giggles.

My husband and I wanted to remember our pregnancy experience, but I don’t like the camera much… That said, we were referred to Shoots & Giggles by a couple of people we trust, and we loved their website portfolio, so we decided to give it a try.
From the moment I talked to Briana on the phone, I knew she was the photographer for us! She was so nice, organized, professional — and funny! — that I felt we’d be able to relax with her. And I was right! We spent a couple of hours on Venice Beach having our pictures taken at spots that Briana suggested, which turned out to be perfect locations that made for super pictures.
If you’ve been to their site, you already know they are awesome photographers, but the BEST part is the experience of hanging out with a photographer who makes you feel comfortable AND has an incredible eye for color and location — not to mention, she’s a trained retoucher, which made a lumpy pregnant lady (me) very excited!
I highly recommend Shoots & Giggles, and we plan to have them take pictures of our new arrival, as soon as she gets here ;)
