I am a big fan of Dr. Scott and her dental office team (Cat and Jessica). I have been seeing them for a couple years now and the bottom line is that I trust her team with the care of my teeth. Also, Jessica at the front desk does a great job with follow-​through. I’m goign to keep gonig back, and now my wife sees her as well.

I used to be a patient of Dr. Claypool so when Dr. Scott took over I stayed. My experience has been quite good and up to my standards over the past several years. I don’t ever get major dental work, mostly just cleanings. She did replace one filling a couple of years ago and it went very smoothly. Overall, I’m happy with my visits and Dr. Scott is kind and professional. To address some of the other reviews, she’s a dentist — people– not your BFF, a standup comedian or your shrink. I’m ok with my dentist being quiet and serious, and to the point. She’s professional and courteous to me. I don’t give 5 stars that easily unless a business is outstanding in every aspect. But it’s a solid 4 stars.

avoid this dentist! do not come here at all! this dentist is not very friendly. she does not make you feel cared for and cozy at all. she is dismissive, detached, disinterested, unconcerned, uncaring, and just not a good feeling about her.
should have listened to my gut instincs about her initially because the work she did was painful, wasteful, unnecessary, and costly as we had to go to other dentists to pay again to fix what she didnt do and fix what she did do!!!
this so called «dentist» tells you, you have cavities when you dont, does crowns when they are not necessary, not sure how she is still in business???
because of her we have spent an extra $ 1,100.00 for work to be done as she did not do what she was supposed to do initially. she also said there were 3 or 4 cavities but when we got 2nd opinion from another dentist, that dentist said i had only 1 cavity!!!
if you have any cavities or any kind of dental work to be done go elsewhere! unless you want to waist your time, pain, and money, this is the place for that…100%.

Great dentist and great office in general. I have found Dr. Scott to be very thorough and helpful in understanding what dental work I need to have done and what work is a priority. I’m a bit of a baby in the dentist chair lol so I appreciate the time her and her staff take in making me comfortable, talking through the work, and being generally gentle with my mouth.
The supporting staff is also AMAZING. It is super easy to communicate with them (specifically Jessica) via phone and e-​mail. They have 8am appointments some days (which is helpful for my schedule).
They also are always willing to help me coordinate my insurance and payments that work for me.
All-​around great dental office and I would recommend to my friends and family.

After lots of searching i finally found a dentist i can call home. They are slowly but surely making my teeth beautiful. Friendly staff and state of the art equipment. They explain everything well and i dont feel like they are gouging me and emptying my pocket. They were understanding about me being late and i am glad i found them that dark day when i had no idea my pain meant i needed a route canal. I will continue to come to them.

Found this dental office through Unilocal’s website. I’m happy I’ve decided to come here, Dr. Scott & staff are really nice & answered all my questions. The office also has a great view of century city and you are offered warm neck pillows which made me feel like I was in a spa. I also enjoyed the photographic art work hanged in the treatment rooms and office. Really nice decorated office. Had a few fillings done and Dr. Scott was very gentle & made sure I was comfortable through out the procedure. After not visiting the dentist for many years Dr. Scott and staff made me feel at ease & I will definitely be coming back for more treatment & recommending family. Give this office a try & you won’t regret it! :)

I am a dental chicken having gone to a bad dentist as a child. I decided to try Dr Scott based on a recommendation from 3 friends who have gone to her for the last 4 years. She was so sweet and kind. My deferred maintenance had caused me some discomfort and Dr Scott gently took care of me. Now, I have no pain and my teeth look better than they have. I highly recommend Dr Scott.

I have had a great experience with Dr. Scott and her entire staff. I am a recent new patient, and I have been 100% satisfied with everything about her office.
Dental Care — Dr. Scott is excellent. She has filled a few cavities and done an excellent job. Dr. Scott cleans teeth herself, and performs all the dental work herself, which is great. She takes her time with her patients and does a very good & thorough job. I have been very happy with her dental care and her care.
She also has helped me with invisalign. She laid out all the pros and cons and was very informative, and helped me make a decision. She performs the invisalign work out her office herself, and i have been very happy with the treatment and results… And her pricing was very competitive!
Scheduling/​Care — I had a special circumstance where I needed to come in as soon as possible (where i did not have an appointment). I called her at night after office hours and asked her office to return my call early the next morning. Not only did she call me first thing in the morning, she was able to accommodate my need to come in that day.
In-​Office Staff — Her entire staff is great!!! Jessica is extremely nice, and helpful at the front desk. They are very organized

my worst dental experience in my entire life was with this women which i hesitate to call Dr, she is rude, unprofessional, obnoxious, and greedy. her staff who are normal people based on fear have to follow her attitude and her behavior. I regret so much that i went there and involved my self in her mass. she charged me and my insurance in advance so much money and she did the most lousy job that you don’t even expect from her assistant. she changed my permanent crowns 2 times by cuting and breaking them in pieces causing so much unnecessary pain for me. she has no idea how to do crowns at all, i found out that so many people got to the same trap with her as i did. in the past five months i am living in pain with my crowns. called her office and left 5 messages with her office secretary and made sure that she understand i am in pain and need to talk to sherry scott regards to my crowns, she ignored all my phone calls and never answered even once. pls be aware of what you are getting yourself into if you have a dental work look elsewhere.

Dr. Scott and her staff are outstanding. They kindly greet you when you arrive and offer bottled water. The dental office has a spa-​like feel making for a relaxing environment. They even offer a warm neck pillow that smells like lavender. I went for a cleaning and exam today and was so relaxed that I caught myself falling asleep before my exam. There is almost never a wait, which is great. It is nice that the staff get to know you and recognize you as soon as you walk through the door. You are not just a number here. Jessica is very helpful and nicely presents the bill explaining each cost when you are ready to pay. Most importantly, Dr. Scott does an excellent job with the dental work that she provides. I had a route canal done by her as well as fillings. I have never had an issue and I have been going to Dr. Scott for 3+ years now. I have recommended her to colleagues and friends. I was actually referred to her by a colleague and have been coming ever since. You will be very pleased with your service here. You will see it is top notch.

Dr. Scott is the best dentist in town. I have been going to her for the last 5 years and keep making the commute to her even as I move around to different parts of Los Angeles. Her staff is caring and offer me a cold or room temperature water every time I visit. She is able to perform wisdom teeth removal, dental cleaning and teeth whitning. I enjoy coming over to the area because Dr. Scott is really good at her profession and I feel cool because I am near the cool agency you see on Entourage. Dr. Scott should make a show about Dentists. That would be cool. Maybe I will ask her about it. Century City Dentists.

Dr. Scott is not only and exceptionally sweet lady but also a great dentist. I have worked with her many times and only have had positive experiences in her office. The staff is very helpful and knowledgable, they give amazing warm pillows to all patients to relieve neck pain throughout the dental visit and they also have great views of century city! I would highly recommend her to all my family and friends!

Dr. Sherri Scott is literally the worst dentist I have ever been to in my life. I wish I could give zero stars.
I went to see her for a routine checkup as I was having no pain or sensitivity at the time. She said that I had a cavity so I went back to her to perform the filling. After the filling I began having sensitivity and pain in that tooth. The filling was also rough and would break the floss every time I flossed that tooth.
Also, I have an old amalgam filing that 3 other dentists told me was fine, but to just keep an eye on it and come in if there was pain. Dr. Sherri Scott said it was necessary to replace the filling. Thankfully I talked to my insurance before replacing the filling because my insurance agreed that the replacement filling was not necessary and they would not cover the cost. AVOID THIS DENTIST AT ALL COSTS.

Contrary to some of the negative reviews here, my experience with Dr Sherri Scott has been the opposite. I was originally a patient of Dr Claypool before the office was purchased. I had 15 cavities and fillings and a wisdom tooth removed while a patient of Claypool. Since then Dr Sherri Scott has yet to find anything wrong, always stating after exams and cleanings that all is good, with recommendations to have better cleanings and flossing to avoid any future incidences. I love the office, feels like a spa, so clean, and the staff is always so sweet…
With that, I’d like to add that recently I was pregnant and experienced severe gum bleeding almost every night. I started to get really worried so much so that I emailed the office in the middle of the night one weekend, with this huge amount of bleeding I was experiencing. I immediately received a response the following business day, stating not to worry and that it is very normal with hormone changes (and being that everything looked good from my previous visit) recommended solution was to floss more then ever to keep the gums strong through the pregnancy. She also expressed to not hesitate in contacting her with any other questions. Guess what, right after giving birth, no more bleeding!!! And after that my next exam and cleaning showed another clean bill of mouth health! I really appreciated her getting back to me in a timely manner, giving great recommendations and tips while pregnant, as well putting me at ease that everything was going to be okay. I’ve never felt any pressure from her about doing anything that didn’t seem right. And with she was so sweet about meeting my new baby!
Thank you ladies!!! If you want an honest trust worthy dentist, come to this office.

Dr. Scott and her staff are very welcoming, professional and efficient. Her office is very bright, modern, clean, and inviting. Jamie at the front desk greeted me with a smile and offered me water upon my arrival. As I filled out forms in the lobby the soothing music calmed my nerves from the anxiety I usually feel when I have to visit the dentist, especially since it was an emergency visit. Julie the dental assistant was very quick and gentle when taking my x-​rays. Shortly after Dr. Scott explained the condition of the tooth with detail and took the time to listen to the pre-​existing conditions.
I had an issue with my previous dentist who refused to treat me and owes me a refund. She listened to me, gave me professional advice as to how I should proceed with the dispute, prescribed me antibiotics for my gum infection and did not charge me for my visit since there was nothing she could do based on the brittle condition of my tooth.
Her professional advice equipped me with the tools necessary to have my previous dentist re-​open my case requesting them to finish the job that they started. Dr. Scott asked me to keep her posted on the outcome with my other dentist and showed genuine care and concern for my well being. I will be visiting her office for future dental needs. She is personable, caring and has created an esthetically pleasing office environment. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a competent dentist with a thorough understanding of her profession who embraces customer service.

Dr. Sherri Scott is personable, thorough and professional. Her office staff is outstanding and they have a good working relationship, which is important for a service business such as dentistry.
You walk in and you’re immediately are greeted and asked if you’d like bottled water; to calm your nerves your offered a warm Lavender scented neck wrap and at the end of the procedure your left with mouthwash and a warm Lavender scented face cloth. Feel relaxed? I did.
All of that in combination with easy digital paperwork, a beautiful office, and the dental equipment is high-​tech. I had several cavities and each one she showed me a digital photo of the decay. I felt she was truthful and wanted the best for me and my teeth. Thanks Dr. Scott for the great dental experience.

The office staff is very nice and professional. I thought that deserved an additional star.
I used to be a patient of Dr. Claypool before she sold the business to Dr. Scott. I continued to see Dr. Scott for about 1 year and a half after that. I endured a crown and a few replacement fillings for old fillings during that time. On my last visit she said that I needed another crown. I was suspicious about all this dental work. I’m a huge dental chicken and do NOT like getting my teeth worked on at all so I got a 2nd opinion. As stated in the other reveiws, this crown was totally unnecessary! The new dentist I now go to said that I did not need a crown at all. It was a small little dot of decay that required such a small filling I didn’t even need to be numbed. Now I’m wondering if all the previous work I had let her do was even necessary. I get the sense that she is really just trying to make extra money. She also needs to work on her bedside manner.

Worst dentist ever. I had been a patient of Dr. Claypool prior, who was great. SHe then sold her business to Scott. I continued to go. SHe seemed to work quite fast which was good for me as I have trouble with dentists (who doesnt). Now, after 3 years later the two crowns she did in 2010 both need to be replaced. One was not sealed properly so there is decay beneath it. The other was not fitted properly so it has a sharp lip that constantly inflames the gums around it. I’m not a dentist so how in the heck am I supposed to know what’s good and what isnt’? Well, now I know way too much about crowns and I know these are WRONG.
Also, as other reviewers have noted, I had to return multiple times for refittings, for the temporary crown falling out, etc. Each time Dr. Scott made me feel like I was some sort of loser. Its the dentists job to seat and fit the crown so that you don’t have «high» spots when chewing. THis should not take 3 return visits.
I’ve filed a grievance with Delta Dental as apparently I cannot get new crowns without having to pay full price as they should be guaranteed for five years. Obviously I’m with another dentist now. Dr. Scott is NOT a Delta Dental provider so my grievance will probably go nowhere.
We pay a lot of money for dental work and endure discomfort — I prefer to endure it only once. Not multiple times! Don’t go to this dentist!

I had a great cleaning with Dr. Scott. She suggested I have some old fillings redone. So I came in and had 2 done on the right side of my mouth. When I returned to do the left side, I mentioned pain with the fillings. She noticed that the filling material had not set at all! She redid the right and then did the left. Then she noticed the right had not set and did it again! I went home and had pain on the left side. I came back the next day and it was the same exact problem. In the end, I had to have the right side fillings done 3 times and the right side done twice. My teeth hurt for months from all the drilling.
It ended up being an issue with how the hygenist was curing the fillings, but I don’t care. I would never go back to her again. I understand making a mistake once, but this was the same mistake three times.
