Sharpe Suiting

I waited to update my previous review because I wanted to see how Sharpe rectified the situation. I must say that Andrew, Oksana and Leon made me priority number one. Oksana was in constant contact with me and gave me her personal number in case I had any questions, issues or just wanted to stop by to see how my shoes looked with the suit. I went in today for my final fitting and all is right in the world again. My suit is amazing! The quality of their work is worth every penny! Photo to come! Leon is caring and genuinely loves helping people find what they love. It’s rare to find so much dignity in patternmaking these days. Sharpe is a great place for all women to find custom suiting and tailored shirts. You’ll get a special piece you have in your closet for years.

TERRIBLE. I went 4 weeks before my wedding and purchased one of the suits to be tailored. I was told that they could tailor how I wanted. After 3 fittings at the shop and 4 days before my wedding, the jacket was not wearable. I could not raise my arms to chest level. I was told that it looks great. I am not sure how I was expected to wear a jacket and hug guests when I couldn’t even raise my arms to hug anyone including let alone my bride! I paid over $ 800, although Oksana did try to fix it, 48 hours before my wedding I was still restricted so my fiancé hooked me up with a Celebrity stylist who got me a suit in 24 hours and it was everything I wanted. Once I let them know that I would not pick up the suit until after my wedding, I was billed for 3 house visits! I was never told that I would be billed for their screw up. I even have TEXT messages documenting that I would come into the store but Oksana insisted to come to me. BAD business. Oh and I almost forgot that on one of my fittings I had to sit for over 30 minutes because they were out having coffee and were late for appointment. I learned a HUGE lesson, go to a company with a solid reputation for an important event like your wedding and pay for a good quality suit like I ended up doing in the end!

Great people, amazing service, gorgeous and dapper suits. My boyfriend was looking for a fashion forward (slim fit high water) suit. Sharpe’s selection of fabrics and willingness to take design risks colluded to an awesome outfit. Definite 5 stars.

After being unable to find a suit for my wedding in a few stores, like Men’s Wearhouse, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Banana Republic (and getting strange looks from some salespeople and customers for being a woman in the men’s section), a friend told me about Sharpe Suiting. I cannot emphasize enough what an amazing experience it was to work with Leon, Vanessa and Oksana, and I will absolutely return to buy my next suit.
Because I was getting married, my mom wanted to accompany me to my first appointment, and from the moment we walked in the door, everyone was so welcoming, genuine and accommodating. My mom and I both had a very relaxing and positive experience, and it was such a relief not to worry about being judged for shopping for a masculine suit!
I wanted a 3 piece suit, and Vanessa walked us through each step of choosing the suit details, from the color of the suit and lining, to the number of button holes, type of buttons, pockets, and accent colors. I also chose a custom shirt, and got to pick the type of cuffs, so I could wear cufflinks. Leon carefully measured me and all of my measurements are saved in their computer program so I can return anytime to have another suit made.
After that, I had a few fittings with Oksana, who is an amazing tailor. Oksana made the entire process fun and easy, and she also made my wife’s wedding dress. She designed and constructed the entire wedding dress, including in it everything my wife wanted. She also really took the time to get to know both of us, so that she was able to easily make suggestions that made both of our outfits a perfect fit for our bodies as well as our personalities.
Working with Sharpe Suiting was by far the best possible experience for both of us, and we highly recommend this company.

After a bad experience with Tomboy Tailors, this was exactly what I needed. The Sharpe team is friendly and efficient and there were so many options in terms of style, fabric and details. I got my gf a suit as a Valentine’s gift. They were really helpful in figuring out what was going to be flattering. The end product is gorgeous and we’ll definitely come back to Sharpe!

I worked with Sharpe to design a custom 3-​piece suit for my wedding. It was an incredible experience. I had so much fun picking out every detail of my suit, down to the buttons! Leon Wu and his staff are incredible. I never felt rushed, i was able to Vanessa ask every question i had, the measurements taken were impeccable and the final tailoring touches by Oksana made for a perfect suit. I’m saving up now to get a second suit, because i’ve decided that one just isn’t enough and i think i’m going to go a little more funky with the liner and details on the next one. Thank you Sharpe for being a professional, courteous, client-​service focused company, and for all that you are doing to help dapperfy all of us in the queer community. If there were 10 stars I would give them a 10!!! After almost a year of searching for the perfect suit for my upcoming wedding, I was lucky enough to finally find someone in LA who would be able to customize my very own suit that would actually fit! From just being a though, the crew at Sharpe Suiting was able to listen to my ideas and created my dream suit! :) From the moment we meet at the Launch Party to set up my first fitting to the final meeting when I picked up my suit, the whole crew (Leon, Vanessa, Oksana, n staff) made it a worthwhile and pleasant experience. :) Thank You sooooooooo much!!! I love everyone at Sharpe! Seriously. Professional, knowledgeable, and fun bunch of folks specializing in dapper, custom clothing that suits you and FITS you. If you’re a boi, like me, you know how difficult it can be to find flattering menswear: Shirts may fit your shoulders and chest, but the collar’s so giant it makes your head look like a pea and when it comes to hips… forget fastening those two or three bottom buttons. The Sharpe team knew exactly how to size and tailor to a woman’s body while offering a plethora of suit, vest & shirt styles in strong, masculine fabrics, colors & patterns. One fantastically fitted suit, two vests and one shirt later, all I have to say is: Thank you, Sharpe Suiting, for being so damn awesome! P. S. I’ll be needing another shirt/​vest combo soon.

Thank you, Sharpe Suits! For the first time in my life, I now have a custom, three-​piece suit, and I love it. Every detail was custom made for my style. And I mean every detail: lapels, buttons, fabric, lining, fit. .. I could go on, but you get the idea. I’ve never looked better in my suit. The fit is perfect, and I get so many compliments. I’m a photographer, so when I wear it to events, the fit is tailored, but still easy to do crazy moves I have to do to get the shot. Amazing! Can’t wait to see you again for some more perfect clothes!!!

The folks at Sharpe Suiting are amazing to work with. They are all about customer service and making sure you walk away happy. I particularly appreciated the guidance they provided when customizing my suit — aside from all the patterns to choose from, there are so many feature variations — from # of pockets to lapel type to monogram details. If you don’t know what you want (like me), then having someone guide you through the process is extremely helpful.

I wanted to get something extra special for my honey and was lucky enough to take advantage of one of Sharpe Suiting’s special promotions. From the initial appointment, to the final fitting, every step of the process was lovely. The staff are so knowledgeable and fun, and the materials they work with are top notch!
I can’t stress enough how valuable our experience was. As a queer woman who prefers masculine clothing, my lady has to deal with a lot of crap from heteronormative landia, and it can be enough to make a girl cuckoo. Having the opportunity to be treated with understanding and respect by members of our community was priceless. Just thinking about it makes my heart swell! And to top it all off, my girl looks fiiiiiiiiiinnnne in her Sharpe Suit!
