I always come here and so far it’s been great. The girls are good at threading my eyebrows and are pretty nice but they are always late. They especially don’t open on time on the weekends and it’s really frustrating.

So I’ve been going to this place for about 4 years, getting my eyebrows threaded by the same woman and she’s always done a fantastic job. But today my usual person was not there so this guy named Francisco Garcia was the only one there so he ended up doing my eyebrows. Now usually it takes five minutes per brow and Francisco OVERALL took 2 minutes. He was very half ass, threaded off the end of my left brow(so it looked shorter than the other one), not cleaned up, not satisfactory and on top of that his breath and hands smelled as foul as a public toilet seat… literally. Clearly he didn’t wash his hands. After he finished he gave me the mirror and after expressing that I was not a happy nor satisfied customer, he had an attitude and insisted that I still pay after the horrendous job. Unbelievable! Let me make this clear, this place isn’t bad… it’s just Francisco who’s bad. If you want someone to do your eyebrows at this place then ask for Talin. She is the only one who knows what she’s doing. So I highly recommend her. However, if you care about your eyebrows’ safety, avoid Francisco Garcia.

By the way I never got the membership if you think that. This company is terrible. I warn you! They charged me TRIPLEONMYDEBITCARD!!! I paid $ 11 plus $ 4 tip at the kiosk and then I check my online acct. And there were 3 charges of $ 15.00 … $ 45.00! I called the company(the phone # on the website) and they said they had a problem with the system that they will return my money which they never did. Then, I called again and I talked to the manager and he asked me to send him a snapshot of my bank account to his email I sent it to both his email and the company’s email, they never replied back. In summary I kept calling, sending emails it has been 2 months already and I NEVERRECEIVEDMYMONEYBACK or Service in exchange. It’s okay for people to make mistakes, but it’s not okay not to fix them. If you go make sure you take cash or don’t go those people are scamers!!! * Customer service 4 stars(some employees are really nice) * eyebrow service 3 stars(you never know who is going to do them) the 4 times I’ve been there the first time I love them they left my eyebrows exactly how I wanted them. Another day, other lady did them and I wanted to cry. I asked them thick she almost leave me without eyebrows. So you never know! *But nothing compares to STEALINGYOUR $$$. BEAWARE!

It took me a while before I found a threading studio I trusted in LA! Im so glad I ran across this place. The Girls here are really sweet and do a perfect job on your brows, they listen to how you want them done and they are never to thin or to thick. Overall I loved the way my eyebrows always turned out, especially for only $ 15 is well worth it.

I just got my eyebrows done here around lunch time. It was relatively quick. And When I thought she missed hairs she went back over the area again. I also thought one eyebrow was a little thick and she went back and fixed it to my liking. I thought she did a good job and it looks good. But I do think $ 15 is high.

I was at the Century City mall with twenty minutes before the start of the movie. So I decided to get my eyebrows threaded since I can’t find the time to tweeze at home. It was quick probably less than ten minutes. I think threading is relatively painless because I have a high tolerance for pain. I loved how the threader shaped of my eyebrows. It was natural with a more defined arch. She was very nice and cleaned my face well so I didn’t have hairs floating around like I did elsewhere. However, I didn’t get my $ 15 worth of service since there were some hairs that were missed. I noticed it later than night that I had to still tweeze. I still prefer Thread Eyebrows on Melrose.

A complete waste of time! I have just wasted over 30 minutes trying to have my brows shaped(which I REALLY need!). The appointment system(if indeed there is one — it’s not clear) does not work. The first time I was asked to come back in 5 – 10 minutes, which I did, only to be told that someone was now ahead of me, but to come back in another 5 – 10 minutes and I would be attended to. When I returned again, I waited for the previous customer to be finished and then was told that there was now someone ahead of me again. It’s poorly managed and I won’t be back.

came here on a friday night, had an indian lady thread my brows right away but she was not very thorough. i had to ask her after she said she was done to thread a lot more of the hairs she didn’t get. even after she did that, i definitely still saw a few more hairs she missed. i think part of the reason may be the lighting in there… for the price, it is SO not worth it. there are many other CHEAPER, more meticulous places to go to than this.

Friendly staff and fast service. I’ve been here twice and I’d come back if I had hairy eyebrows and was stuck at Century City mall…

Very nice brows. The ladies at Shapes are pros with the thread. Great arches and attention to detail… sometimes it takes an extra five minutes, but they’re sure to get each and every last stray hair. It doesn’t quite have the verve or the prices of The Thread Bar, but it is a convenient location for a quality lunchtime grooming.

I frequent the Brow bar in Sherman Oaks, so I was happy to discover a Brow bar in the Century City mall when I was in desperate need of a touch up before a big interview . First off, my brows look fine. However, the process was one of the most painful brow experiences I’ve ever dealt with. The lady who did my brows spent an ungodly amount of time slowly pulling each hair out. I started tearing up at one point because it was just agony. The lady noticed and joked that I was pretty sensitive to pain. I told her I was used to someone who knew what they were doing. She shut up after that. Fifteen painful minutes later, she took out the tweezers and spent another ten minutes cleaning up. While I appreciated the thoroughness, it should have never taken that long. I also had my upper lip done and she went to town on my chin, cheeks, everywhere, and then said she wouldn’t charge me for the full facial service she had just given me. Sweet, but it was an unwanted gift, especially since they have these huge open windows and cute boys glancing in every now and then. My skin also turns red after a threading/waxing, so now everyone in Century City knows I went to have my chin hairs did– swell. I felt bad for my earlier rudeness, so I tipped a little extra, but had a held my tongue there’d be an extra two bucks in my pocket right now.

So, I’ve come to realize that a good threading is like a good hair cut. When your hair grows back in, you shouldn’t look like a train wreck… my satisfaction with Shapes Brow Bar was short lived. I left very happy with the work, only to put my sunglasses on a few days later to realize that my brows were lopsided… very lopsided. I looked like I was raising an eyebrow in question every time someone looked at me. Bad, bad, bad. For the amount of time she took on my face and the amount of money I paid($ 20+) it was NOT worth it — even with the free parking. But at the very least, I didn’t leave bleeding like I did after Ziba. Coming back? Not in this lifetime!

This place was terrible! I’ve gone to other Shapes locations and have been very happy with the results. But this was the first time I went to this location. I had been growing my brows out a little fuller for months and I really don’t like looking thin and overplucked. I told the lady that I just wanted to clean it up, that I wanted to keep the shape and that I absolutely did not want them too thin. I had also asked her to do my lip. So I sat in the chair and she went to work. It was taking a bit longer than normal and she started to pluck things that didn’t feel right. So I checked with her and said — «You’re not plucking them thin, right?» And she assured me that she wasn’t. She finished the first brow and then before starting the other, went to have a conversation with another girl that worked there. When she came back she finished the other and moved on to my lip. Then without warning, she started to do other parts of my face — chin, cheek. I then said, «I just want my lip.» And she said ok. When she was done, as I suspected, she completely did away with my fuller brows and gave me thin ones. Not only that, but the first brow she did was thinner than the second. I should have known from the overplucked, oversculpted, over drawn brows on her own face. And then she charged me for my face rather than just my brows and lip. She had no good customer service whatsoever and was completely distracted the whole time. While I had an okay experience at other Shapes locations, this one experience has discouraged me from ever going to another. And I will most definitely never go to this location again.

I’ve been here twice, the first time I absolutely loved the way the lady did my brows. They looked awesome and the two friends I was with also got their’s done and they were both very happy with it. I thought it was well worth the $ 15 spent. I then went again and this time, I got a less experienced gal doing my brows. She was the only one there so she said 10 mins while she was doing the brows of this guy. We left, came back again and another lady was there and she told me that this lady was there before me. I mean WTF? Why didn’t you tell me that before so I could’ve spent 20 – 30 mins looking at stuff I wanted to look at before returning to the store? This time I took slightly longer, 15 mins, and when I got there, she was just finishing up. This time I was able to slide into the seat right after the lady got up. I guess I’m glad I got my brows cleaned up although I didn’t particular think she did a great job. My brows don’t have the arch like they did last time, but luckily she didn’t take too much off or made them look weird. It was fine and they do a much better job than the Vinitas or the Nanu’s.
