Semper Solaris

I almost did not give Semper Solaris a chance as I had already performed, what I had thought to be, quite an exhaustive amount of research on solar installers, various suppliers of solar equipment, and available options for being able to operate off the grid, if needed. We had even signed a contract and begun the per-​installation process with another company, which is when I started having issues, and second thoughts.
While my original sales representative from the other company I have been working with, had assured us that their system could, in fact, perform at the level that I had clearly stated we needed, and had even put me in touch with their technical staff who assured me of the same, that was not the case. When it actually came down to discussing those requirements with the project manager, I was shocked to find out that my requirements had not even been relayed to the project manager, even after numerous conversations requesting confirmation that it had been. This was a big disappointment, and it only got worse.
In an effort to get things back on track, I decided reach out to the original sales representative from the other company once again, who, all of the sudden, became impossible to contact. Wanting to discuss the requirements that we had outlined to him, and that he had assured us, would be fulfilled, I quickly determined it to be a waste of time. At this point, we had lost all confidence in this installer, as we were beginning to experience the same treatment that we had with several other companies that had also provided proposals. So, I began the cancellation procedures, and notified them via phone and e-​mail, that due to their inability to provide, in writing, assurances that they would be able to provide what they had previously stated, we were canceling our agreement with them, pursuant to their own cancellation policies.
It was at this time that I happened to hear a radio add for Semper Solaris. It caught my interest because they were a veteran-​owned company and many of my previous encounters with veteran-​owned businesses had been substantially better than those with other like-​businesses. I was optimistic due to my association with several veterans I know, including those that I work with, so I decided to make the call. Bob King returned my call shortly afterwards, and set an appointment. From our initial meeting, continuing through to completion of the installation, we felt much better about this company, our conversations and dealings with their staff, and at how efficiently the project was proceeding. I can honestly say that Semper Solaris and their staff did all that was possible to answer our questions, live up to, and perform as they stated they would, and assist us in our dealings to recover our deposit from our original solar company, which was an added benefit.
The entire project went much better than I had though, considering my previous expectations based upon the other companies that we had worked with. The system engineers were very informed of my specific requirements, and worked with me on the design that I had created in comparison to the one that their team had created, and we were able to provide the enhancements that I had requested at a price that more than met our expectations. Upon final design approval, I had to make one change, and Bob King worked on it with me to have the contract re-​written, provided me the information on the additional hardware, and made sure that the project manager was aware of the additional hardware. The project manager, Anthony Mchale, when receiving the revised contract, also was quite helpful, and made sure that we received the additional hardware as agreed.
Bob King was always available in a timely manner, and was continually helpful throughout the project. I highly recommend Semper Solaris and Bob King if you are considering taking the step towards solar for your home. I could go on about the equipment that they use in their installations, however, simply allow me to say that the Sun Power line from SMA is the only equipment that I would ever use or recommend. Seriously speaking, with all of the issues and calamities that I experienced with the prior companies, I truly wish that I had found Semper Solaris first. I would be several hundred dollars ahead, and that does not even take in account the 80 – 100 hours of research, calls, e-​mails, negotiation, and follow-​up that I will never be able to recover.

When I heard about Semper Solaris on the radio, I had already researched solar and had several written proposals. I thought I had made my decision on another product, but i liked the idea of working with a veteran-​owned business. i am so glad I made that call! I had heard from friends who had chosen other contractors that there would be a long wait for installation and hook up; but I was pleasantly surprised with the promptness of Semper Solaris. The system designers and installers were also very attentive to my aesthetic concerns, and they graciously finished every last detail to my complete satisfaction. Bob King and Semper Solaris have demonstrated utmost professionalism and care every step of the way, from sales, to system design, to installation and inspection. I am very pleased with my system and my energy/​cost savings are all that I had anticipated!

Very positive thoughts about Bob King who introduced me to Semper Solaris. I had interviewed six companies; nobody presented a truer or finer explanation of my options. My research found Sunpower 345 panels to stand out as the best on the market. Bob put together all I needed in my system and gave me the lowest price.
