Self Storage 1

Self Storage 1 is excellent! We have been renting storage there for over a year and have received outstanding customer service from Sonia, Isela and Robert. They are always 100% helpful. We have rented storage units before, but nothing comes close to the quality, security, cleanliness, value and service we have received here. We highly recommend Self Storage 1.

I love this place! Everyone who works here is super friendly, responsive and professional and I was always happy to go there because of them (going to my storage unit can be a real drag, so that is a huge testament). I had a unit here for three or four years that I visited weekly. The place is always clean, the temperature is always perfect and I felt very very safe. I appreciate that there are cameras everywhere and that the elevators are passcode secured, no one else can effectively ride your elevator to your floor with you… Things like that make it a very comfortable place to rent a unit for me. And there is a nice big and very clean bathroom! Thank you to the Self Storage 1 Team at Olympic for being so consistently awesome!

We were really happy with self storage one. The facility is extremely nice and the customer service was better than I have experienced anywhere else. Anytime I called with any question or issue it was always promptly answered and resolved. We worked a lot with Sonia and she always cared to do a great job to help us. We also really appreciated the cleanliness of the storage areas. There is plenty of parking and everything seems really well organized. I would highly recommend this storage location.

NO NO NO don’t rent here. Everything positive that people say about this place is true but so are the negatives and the one negative that I can’t put up with is the constant rent increases. Every six months they jack up your price — a LOT — 10%. This last one is 10%. 200 to 220 and it just stays like that. They know they have you and that it costs money to move stuff out so they jack you up and up and up. Cmon guys. Lock me in for a year and then don’t jack it up 20%. 10% maybe but 20%. Then i find other places in the area that are cheaper and I have to haggle with them to get the increase down. Not worth it. GO ELSEWHERE.

Robert Garcia was extremely helpful regarding supplies for our move and even punched carry holes in our boxes to make it easier for us. Definitely recommend this place!

Great customer service!!! I had to quickly find a storage unit under 24 hours and move my stuff and I was so overwhelmed, but Sonia Garcia-​Vega was wonderful to work with and made the whole process go seamless and pleasant. The free truck service was a huge plus!

These guys/​gals are the best! The facilities are always clean and the staff at the front desk is friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for storage around west LA!

Self Storage 1 knows how to take care of their customers. I use them in the Law firm I work for. They are diligent about everything customer related; right down to making calls for payment reminders to avoid late fees, to a very quick response to emails. It is well organized, clean and easy to get in and out of. I couldn’t ask for a better storage facility. The rates are on the high side but competitive for this area.

I didn’t actually end up using this storage facility because there was one much closer to where I live that didn’t have the same level of customer service, but my hesitance to drive won out.
But I did want to leave a review based on the excellent customer service that Robert provided to me. I initially made contact with Self Storage 1 when I was in the market for a storage unit to hold my stuff in for about 3 months while I was in between apartments and jobs and moving home for a bit. Robert was super helpful on the phone and very quick to call me back to respond to any questions I had regarding the unit. I was also in a real pinch for money, and Robert tried to do everything he could to accommodate my needs for budget-​friendly storage.
As a not to anyone in the market for a unit, Self Storage 1 offers a complimentary moving truck w/​in 10 miles of the facility — you don’t even have to pay for the gas to use it! Unfortunately I was out of the service area to qualify for the truck.
Regardless, I just really really appreciated the quality of customer service provided to me by staff and wanted to recommend the place to anyone who needed a storage center. If I lived closer to the westside, this would definitely be my top choice.

Have been a happy customer since 2010. It’s not the cheapest but their rates are competitive for the area and you definitely get your money’s worth! Self Storage 1 was a clear choice for me. Their facility is extremely safe, clean and well-​lit. There are security cameras everywhere and each person needs to enter their own code to use the elevators. The code only allows you access to your specific floor. If your unit (s) open without your code being entered, the staff is notified…
The whole staff is extremely friendly and responsive. We have easily moved our things into different size storage units and each time, the staff was extremely helpful in mapping out the most convenient unit locations for us… There are other random details that I’ve appreciated like the clean bathrooms, online payment option, climate controlled environment, move-​in truck, packing supply store and complimentary coffee/​tea/​cocoa and candy in the office. :) I highly recommend Self Storage 1!

This is the best storage facility in LA! I’ve been coming here for over a year now. The staff is always so friendly and helpful, and the facility is impeccably clean. They’ll even sign for my packages and store them in the back room until I’m able to pick them up. It’s an AC/​heat controlled building, so your stuff will stay in great condition. They even have a moving truck you can use locally. I highly recommend this place!

This is the best storage facility in LA. I am a pharmaceutical rep, and I am there almost daily picking up packages. The staff are always helpful and friendly. The facility is clean and very safe. I would definitely recommend self storage 1.

Absolutely the best storage facility on the west side! Safe, clean, and the most helpful staff you will find! To enter/​exit the building & use the elevator you use your own access code specific to your unit. There are clean bathrooms onsite at the ground level. They have plenty of rolling carts to move boxes or any other items. The staff is well organized & will accept packages for you, if you choose to set up. This is a great place for pharmaceutical reps like myself to use & trust. Recommend to all!

I’ve been using this location for more than 5 years and there’s nothing bad I can say about this place. It’s as secure and clean as any storage facility I’ve ever seen. There’s never a shortage of carts, and they gladly accept deliveries for me on a regular basis. The staff is as friendly and helpful as you’ll ever find, and they are easy to work with. I’ve added temporary units occasionally and they prorate to fit my needs and keep my costs to a minimum.
I like that they enforce their rules and are totally in tune with what (and who) comes in and out of the facility. If problems develop, they are quick to address them and take whatever measures necessary to make things the way they should be. If you want clean, safe and secure storage in west LA, you won’t do any better than these guys at Self Storage 1. They’re first class compared to most others. If you’ve got a gripe at this place, odds are pretty good that they aren’t the problem.

I had a 5×10 unit here for about 2 ½ years, until about a month ago. I only left because I didn’t need storage any longer. The facility was convenient, clean, bright and safe. The people in the management office (I mainly dealt with Norma) were always friendly and helpful.
The only negative was they did raise the rent a few times in short periods. But it wasn’t much. Considering the competitive pricing, it wasn’t a big deal at all. Even with that, I am giving 5 stars.
I would recommend this place to anyone in a heartbeat. I just did actually!

Could not have had a better experience with these guys. Great rates, convenient & secure location, and an awesome staff. I left a moving blanket on their counter, and Norma literally ran across traffic to give it to me before I could drive off.

I don’t have much experience with storage facilities, but my experiences with Self Storage 1 overall very positive. The facility is quite new or at least well kept, it’s clean and secure and very accessible (moving friendly). The best part is really the price, they offer deals and have a month-​month plan and even prorate (depending on when you move out). Really hassle free and will definitely use again if stay in the area.
