This is the epitome of ‘bad business’ and I would almost bet this place has only 2 reviews from friends. Where to begin. My wife and I go to this store because they looked like they had cool t-shirs. We did in fact buy couple hundred’s of dollars of t’s for out of town family… but put on the breaks and look at prices before paying because that simple. no frills print will be costing you $ 50 for a $ 9 American Apparel t-shirt its printed on. If they are going to screw you they should at least take off the low-end tag and add their own. They do nothing but put a basic print of someone famous on it(not even good quality print) and resell for $ 40-$ 50+ . Being in the store: What a nightmare! Very middle-eastern-high-pressure selling. The wife follows you around the store even when you ask to be left alone she will hover and comments to push whatever item you picked up or looking at. My wife went as far as saying she would buy more if she didn’t feel her following and goes as far as saying the shirt looks amazing on you when she was just told it too tight and don’t like it. So annoying. But here’s the worse part. once you leave the harassment hasn’t ended. They ask you to sign their book and you will NEVER get off the mailing list. By law(CAN-SPAM) they are required to remove you once you have asked to be removed(yes, you have to ask because they are so unprofessional they do not add the required«opt-out option required by the Federal Trade commission, amongst other requirements they don’t follow. And watch out because once you email them your gmail/yahoo/imail will recognize them as a friend and you will not be able to spam them again. Your call. I have asked a total of 7 times in writing, some quite upset and they only respond by saying«We tried but its not working». Ignorance is not an excuse to keep us on there. They use a GMAIL so they are lying and after 7 attempts we have just reported them and unethical marketing tactics. remove me from your contact list on Gmail Einstein. They have sent several emails with their entire contact list exposed to everyone on the email blast, eliminating your right to privacy and since I was a on that exposed mail I have gotten hundreds of emails I did not get before where I have changed my email address and keep the one I gave them as spam. They say they apologize because they accidentally CC and not BCC(at least 3x already in 6 months) but continue doing it. Aren’t you a business and should that be a priority and not continue to commit the same mistake? DONOTGOINTOTHISSTORE! You will be paying DEARLY not only for the t-shirts but for the negative experience that will keep on giving. Melrose is FULL of ethical t-shirt stores that do ‘GOOD business’ while maintaining much better quality of items and service. Unilocal should have ZERO stars for places like this. Should you be harassed by this store via email, contact the CAN-SPAM Act: A Compliance Guide for Business

I love this cool little store on Melrose. They have very high quality vintage concert type shirts. Think Metallica, Gun N’ Roses, and other bands of the past. They even have kids shirts which are super effing cool. That was why I went in to begin with b/c they were old school shirts from the 80s in little kid sizes and my mom was here looking to buy something for my nephews. These are very good quality so they are not cheap. If I had a kid, I would buy a Gn’R shirt for my kid b/c they are that damn cute but I don’t have kids and I don’t think my nephews would appreciate it as much as I would want them to. So I will just buy one for myself and tell others how awesome this store is. At least check it out if you are in the area.
