Not exactly your best slice of pizza ever but the men working behind the counter are super nice. I come here when the Panda Express line is too crazy. A couple bucks for a large slice of pizza, you pick your piece and they heat it up in the ovens. You also can get pastas and lasagnas and salads.

It’s Sbarro. Big chain, you should know what you’re going to get. That said, there’s no better deal I know of on campus than this place’s «2 large pizzas for $ 20»(any number of toppings). If you’re looking for a lot of food/pizza, this is the place to go. Pizzas were definitely better than Papa John’s and Dominoes in my opinion — crust had much more bite. Fresh from the oven because ordered whole pies. Much better than I had expected — see photo.

If you go near closing time(8:30−9:00pm), for just 5 dollars, the strombolis are just«too» filling. It’s «too» good of an opportunity for the hungry(and broke) college student«to» pass up on. The strombolis are like oversized hot pockets with either pepperoni, pepperoni and sausage, chicken and broccoli, or spinach. If you order them, they put them into the oven for a few minutes to make them toasty.

Cheese slice for $ 3.29. They have a special for a slice and drink for $ 4, but I don’t care for soda or diabetes. You put red pepper, garlic powder, and some oregano. Voila! Very good. Cheese slice is always best with spicy red pepper. Of course, my first choice is a five dollar pizza from Little Caesar’s. But I was in Westwood, the land of the yuppies. Sigh. Currently they have a two pizza for $ 20 special for carryout. Too rich for my blood.

So far, I’ve only tried their cheese pizza, vegetable pizza, and ceasar’s salad. I’m usually satisfied with their food and service.

I come here every weekday around lunch time. The wait in line is rarely unbearable. I’ve had just about everything they offer and it’s delicious every time.

Eating lunch in Ackerman is a chore in and of itself. The lines, the speed, the people, bleh. I was induced by someones slice of cheesecake to take the Sbarro route for quick food today. Quick? I must have been delusional. By the time I got to my place in line they did not really have what I wanted, so I figured that instead of waiting longer I would get a baked ziti. It’s hard to mess up ziti. Well let me tell you, they messed up ziti. Who even knew you could do that? Sigh. I really wouldn’t choose to eat here again. If im caught in a bind in ackerman I guess its back to carls or panda. Boo

It was my first time eating here and I was really disappointed. Came here during lunch and they were out of pepperoni and cheese pizza. They should know when there lunch time rush is and those 2 kinds of pizzas made in the back for the rush. It took them about 10 minutes to get me my slices of pizza. The pizza I ate was pretty tasty. I will say, I can tell the employees work hard there and try to make the customers happy. The staff is friendly and very clean. For 2 slices of pizza and a coke was about 9 bucks, kinda pricey, but didn’t break the bank.

Do you know how easy it is to make baked ziti? Do you also know how hard it is to make bad ziti? You just sauté whatever you like add sauce pour it on some pasta add some cheese then you bake it. There’s other fancy things you can also do but that’s basically the gist of it. The baked ziti here was not good. Pretty bad. The sauce was just mush poured over pasta. I felt like it wasn’t even baked. I would recommend getting the pizza if you eat here. Ehh… I guess the garlic bread was okay. This is a generous two stars.

I know Sbarro is a chain, but I have a special place in my heart for the one in Ackerman Plaza. Bless American Express for having that $ 1 off of your Sbarro purchase if you used your Amex card, because without that deal, I would’ve never discovered the pepperoni stromboli. What is a stromboli? Wiki says it’s a type of turnover, but in simple terms(if uh, turnover isn’t simple enough), it’s a Hot Pocket with a lot of pepperoni and cheese in it, and they don’t skimp on the pepperoni, my friends. It’s a little more than $ 5, and it’s worth every penny. I never regret getting it, and it used to be a weekly thing. Before they hand it off to you at the cash register, they heat it up in the oven for you so it’s all soft and even more delicious. You could also get marinara sauce on the side! The workers have always been very friendly. One time they didn’t have any pepperoni strombolis and said I had to wait 10 – 15 minutes, so I waited(because they’re worth the wait). When they were done, I had diverted my attention to something else so the lady working came out to tell me they were ready. How sweet! They also give you a free NY pizza slice for filling out a survey online. This saved me from starvation once because I forgot all of my cards and cash at my apartment, but I luckily found a Sbarro receipt in my backpack, filled in the survey, and voila~ Free food! Ily, Sbarro :).

Ugh, I just cannot get into their pizza. I end up here about twice a year to give it a shot, and it’s just overpriced and not good. It’s greasy, the sauce is too sweet for my taste, and the breadsticks are fairly tasteless. For better slice options, take a 15 mintue walk down to the village. That being said, they have the NICEST staff here.

I go here once in a blue moon for a slice of pizza or a stromboli. Like others have said, it is and will always will be, MALLFOOD. I’ll eat here if I get tired of all other Ackerman food options, and boy it gets boring quickly. Go to the salad bar, it’s better.

ok… this place needs to give u more sauce on all their pastas(especially the ziti)!! overall, they really need to spiffy up all their products if they’re gonna compete(not to mention still be around) w/places like ‘panda express’ &sandwich shops&other ‘mall foods’…

Sbarro’s is usually the go to mall fast food(if you find yourself unfortunate enough to be mall bound, anyway). However, this location debunks the rule that a fast food joint’s quality is tied into the socio-economic make-up of the neighborhood. This is in the food court of a mall in Westwood, next to the Landmark theaters. I’ve been there a few times before a movie and it always tastes like day-old Sbarro’s.

Sbarro i think has the best pizza in town! The size of the crust is just right, not too thick, not too thin, and the cheese and sauce make it perfect. The only thing is, is that u shouldn’t order the pizza if ur really hungry. It goes pretty fast!

Well, it’s probably the best food in the Ackerman. The sandwiches and pizza are pretty good, the pasta is hit and miss(ziti is best, but fattiest), the tomato sauce is nasty, the garlic bread is okay, the caesar salad is dried up. Recently there was an insect infestation here too, which is suspicious. But the service is friendly and the food makes your belly full without too much pain, so why not?
