Specialties

I have a holistic, outside-the-box approach to psychotherapy. I seek to illuminate the internal world of my clients, while helping each individual connect to others and the world at large in a meaningful way. I work to build an authentic, trusting relationship with each client, and aim to embody warmth, optimism, curiosity and empathy. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Vassar College, and my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University (CSPP), with an emphasis in couples and individual counseling.

In addition to my formal education, I have training in Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, reiki, yoga and bodywork.

My clients are: individual adults, adolescents, and couples.

I’ve tried twice to see this doctor due to her locale and energy healing background. She is not taking on new patients as of 6−30−14. No insurance options or sliding scale for cash. I asked about cash patients and was told her intern offers sessions…

Samantha Rader is a powerful, wonderful listener. She asks such intuitive questions, and is wonderfully calm. When with her, she makes you feel at peace, and makes you want to open up. She examines every detail of what one says to the way they act and finds out where the stem of their problems lie. There is no force pushing you to do or say anything you don’t want to. I think she is absolutely great.

Dr. Rader helped me through some really dark times. She is challenging and gentle, brilliant and easily approachable. I’ve called her a velvet crowbar – every session has brought me closer to myself and I’ve since moved from LA but still make time for sessions via webcam. Her dynamic style does not allow for a dull moment. I personally feel like I’m becoming the best version of myself I can be, and I undoubtedly owe that in part to the work I’ve done with Dr. Rader.

Went in for a consultation and never should have returned. After months she finally fired my wife and I. I would not recommend her. She didn’t help us and my wife and I are still lost and hurt.
