This the best place to come in all of Los Angeles for color! When life has you down Jackie can lift you up. Fun, relaxing place to make miracles happen. The prices are competitive and there are years of experience here. You can be creative and make suggestions and Jackie makes it happen. Look 20 years younger. Color always matches skin tone. You cannot go wrong here. Open into the evening for all those hard working ladies that usually wait until the weekends to treat themselves. This is the place!!! Worth the drive to downtown Los Angeles. Take care of yourself and color and style with Salon 6.

Jackie is the best! Always accommodating to my schedule. It feels like visiting a friend and she is always on point with my hair. She knows what I need without me telling her.

Jackie and the Crew are Amazing. Went in the other day without an appt and the Owner Jackie took me in last minute. I got a fresh cut and they offered me a glass of wine!!! This was heaven after a long days work!!! The place is very high end and the prices are great. I highly recommend this place and will be coming back very soon!!!

I never write reviews but I reactivated my account just to write this. After 2 horrible haircuts(1 at barbara & barbara in Chicago and the second at Pure Salon in DTLA), I walked by Salon On 6 and decided to walk in. Poor and hopeless, I approached Enrique in tears and he told me I looked like a soccer mom. Grateful for his honesty, we talked about my options and he coached me the entire way. He gave me exactly what I wanted. A «get up and go» asymmetrical non soccermom-ish cut. When I’d asked the guy at Salon Pure why my hair didn’t look like the pic, he basically told me I couldn’t pull it off and gave me his version of the cut aka something nothing like the pic. Enrique, thanks for working with my big cheeks and my attitude!

I haven’t been to a new hair stylist in a while… But since I recently moved to dtla, I wanted to find a place closer to home that I could go to. I’ve walked by this place many times and finally decided to walk in today. Jackie was very nice and made me feel very comfortable. She is amazing at what she does. The hair products that she used are definitely waaaay better than those I’ve had used on my hair before. I have a very sensitive scalp and every single time I color or bleach my hair, my scalp burns like crazy!!! But not here, I was able to be completely relaxed as I got my hair bleached and colored. That was a great plus for me! Love my new look and color! Thank you, Jackie for taking care of me!

Dear Men and Women of DTLA, I have FINALLY found a salon that I love! Jackie and her entire team of stylists are sweet, highly experienced and very creative. Jackie spent hours doing a very long process on my hair. It started black, I wanted red, she nailed the shade on point. In addition to my gorgeous new color, she sculpted me a new pixie cut to die for! I left feeling relaxed, sexy and ready to take on the world! Her salon is clean, classy(but not overdone) and reasonably priced– especially for the quality of care you receive while in her chair. I highly recommend Salon on 6!!!

I’ve always walked by this place and finally my wife got an appointment to see Khalil. She got her hair dyed which I was totally against but you know how that goes. She’ll do the exact opposite of what I want. She got her hair dyed some bronze looking color. At first I was terrified it came out bright blonde and my wife is jet black and gorgeous. I wanted to say I told you so but I knew if I did she’ll keep it that way so I said«It looks lovely» so she changed it. Apparently the change is part of the process and the finished good was fantastic. She looked wonderful. I watched the way he cut her hair and no barber has ever been so detailed. He is very personable, warm, friendly and just darn gorgeous. The other stylist are friendly and the place is clean and relaxing with a positive air about it. Needless to say, we’re customers! and happy ones too.

I just moved downtown and was looking for a stylist close by. I tried this place out since it was in the same building as me. I showed the stylist(who was very nice, I think her name was Connie) a picture of blake lively’s strawberry blonde hair and came out with stripey, brown highlights. Not to mention I paid $ 250 for it. I wanted to cry when they gave me the price. I will not be coming back here. Such a bummer.

Jackie has been cutting and coloring my hair for a while. I like going here because its not only close to home, but Jackie is great at what she does. I am a hairstylist too, so believe me I am picky. She always can squeeze me in last minute which I appreciate since my schedule is everywhere. Now she sells/uses Aveda hair care, which is amazing! Give Jackie a try!

Jackie is A M A Z I N G. I walked in there with hair the color of piss/toothpaste/more piss. We talked options at length, even though she was closing. She did a strand test right then and there. She was so sweet and straight up about everything. She charged less than half of every other place in a ten mile radius for color correction, cut, treatment. She took her time as we tried different things and made the experience incredibly comfortable. I love the results. Im done. She rules. Just go. Her place is beautiful and relaxed as well.

My fiancé and I just recently moved to Los Angeles. We’re both small town folk, and neither of us had ever gotten a high end hair cut before. Jackie made this experience so amazing for us both! The salon itself is chic and comfortable, the appliances up to date and high quality, and the price is super reasonable, but most of all, I think my favorite part was working with Jackie. She looked at my hair and immediately knew what type of issues I might have with hair like mine(very curly/wavy/FRIZZY), took a look at the picture I brought as inspiration, and went on to create the most perfect haircut I’ve received so far. The conversation was pleasant, not too chatty, but not awkwardly silent either. She remembers her clients and you can tell she enjoys what she does. I’d recommend her(and the salon) to anyone! Thx Jackie!!!

Outstanding styles! Had a great experience with Jackie. Her friendly demeanor is always appreciated. Funky door opens inward, but beyond that, a great experience. Everyone at work liked my new do!

I have been coming here for a couple of years for the color, but last December Jackie recommended the Brazilian Blowout, and that treatment has completely changed my hair for the better! I used to only wear my hair up at work, now I can wear it down and I know it looks good! Love love love this place!

WEEEENNNDY! I got my acrylics done by Wendy who is just truly amazing, she’s done my nails better than anyone else has in a long time and I cannot express how happy I am. She suggested colors and a new rad shape thats called ‘casket nails’ which I happen to love. 4 stars because I paid a whole $ 10 more than what I am used to paying for fills, but I understand since she’s an independent contractor. I highly recommend Wendy for everyone, she’s docile, knows what she’s doing and has a cute instagram(lol). Wendy — you’re fantastic! Thank you so much.

The only downside to getting your hair done in the same neighborhood that you live in is awkwardly bumping into your stylist and needing to explain that you started seeing someone else. I went to Salon on 6 in a pinch. It was coming up on the holidays, and I wanted to make sure that I got one last trim in before meeting with family. I would think that a stylist might be excited about the extra money. Or at least not take the job if she is just going to complain the whole time about how she stayed late for my appointment even though she«didn’t really want to.» Man.. . I should have known that was a sure sign of getting a half-assed haircut. Sure, she was nice and conversational. She also didn’t trim or shape my blunt bangs whatsoever and just swept them to the side calling that a «side bang.» Girl, please. So displeased. Save yourself and only go if your stylist WANTS to be there.

Women and their relationship with their stylist is a very important one. One that needs to be nurtured. Trust is key. Jackie, my girl, and I have been together for over 10 years now. Like a good man, Salon on 6th is not a hoity toity kind of salon. It doesn’t have bells and whistles to try and entice you to believe it’s special but, it is. My girl Jackie knows how to make you walk out of her salon with a slight bounce in your step and smile on your face… and just like a good man, she is rare. Expert in coloring and layer cuts. She’s been doing my hair for so long I believe she can do it blindfolded. I’ve changed up my color quite a few times over the years but have never been disappointed. A true artist in her field. Prices are very reasonable and appointments are always a breeze.

I had a really great experience at Salon 6. I’m honestly sort of new to «salons», I generally spend about $ 10 haha. Well needless to say, my hair probably looked like a $ 10 haircut, i was just too dumb to know. I ventured into Salon 6 and met the owner, Jackie, but at the time had no idea. She was really nice and because i just walked in, she couldn’t take me for another 30 minutes or so. I walked back to my office, came back 30 minutes later, and had the best haircut i’ve ever had. First, their assistant is this chill flamenco player dude who had a lot of personality. He keeps the place spotless and his efforts showed. Jackie is v
