In today’s world economy, a growing number of jobs require Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) skills. There is a great need for America to produce a world-class STEM workforce to address the challenges of the 21st century.
However, American students currently show a below-average aptitude in Math and Science subjects relative to students in other countries, falling far behind many leading countries in the world. To face this issue, the Obama Administration has launched a campaign called «Educate to Innovate» to improve the participation and performance of America’s students in STEM.
