reVamp manufactures fine reproduction vintage clothing focusing on 1910 – 1957 for both men and women in-​house to ensure our high standards of quality. In addition to providing off-​the-​rack clothing to the public, we specialize in made-​to-​measure and custom clothing.

reVamp’s handiwork can be seen in the following T.V. shows: Sarah Connor Chronicles, True Blood, Big Love, Saturday Night Live, Swingtown as well as the Girls Next Door. reVamp also provides garments to hundreds of theatrical productions as well.

In addition servicing reVamp’s line and the needs of the Entertainment industry, reVamp also offers monthly Vintage Hair and Make-​up Workshops. In this 3 hour workshop, attendees learn to do their own historically correct hairstyle as well period appropriate make-​up application. The classes are held at the reVamp Salon. History

Established in 1998.

ReVamp is the brain child of Annamarie von Firley and Autumn Carey Adamme. Created in 1998, the two teamed up to create reVamp, fusing an abiding interest in swing dance and the always superior styling of vintage fashion. Centering on clothing inspired by designs from 1910 – 1950, reVamp offers all the elegance and beauty of bygone eras in clothing that can be worn comfortably in a contemporary context. Parting ways after their first productive, yet exhausting year, Annamarie von Firley is the exclusive owner of reVamp. Autumn Carey-​Adamme has returned her complete attention to the growth of her successful custom corset company, Dark Garden.

Annamarie von Firley is an expert in clothing designed from 1910 – 1957, and an enthusiastic consumer of the past. She earned a BA in Wooden Toy Design and Construction from Hampshire College and a BFA in Furniture Design from California College of the Arts. After ten years of being in business, her expertise is sought out by Costume Designers, celebrities and vintage enthusiasts. She has been interviewed for documentaries, articles on her business and lifestyle for newspapers and magazines. She most recently has been featured on CNN Headline News, Fortune Small Business as well as on television on three seasons of the E! Channel’s «Girls Next Door» in addition to other programs. She custom designs clothing for Dita Von Teese and Bridget Marquardt as well as other celebrities.

Ms. von Firley has amassed a huge private collection of vintage clothing, hats and shoes, books on Beauty Culture and Etiquette as well as antique magazines, fashion plates and vintage patterns.

I went to Annemarie to get my wedding dress taken in.
I had bought a sample Austin Scarlett dress that was too big and too traditional for my liking. When you’re hungover, emotional, and shopping with your mom, bad decisions get made. Rather than go to the seamstresses the shop recommended who were all overpriced, in Beverly Hills (who the hell wants to go there) and older ladies who I know would not share my «vision» for the dress, I took to Unilocal and found revamp. I couldn’t be happier I did.
I mentioned I wanted to shorten it in the front to make it more of a high low dress. She took the idea and ran with it. She suggested how exactly to do it and still maintain the things I loved about the dress and she recommended adding color to the inside. The final product was unbelievable and it was exactly what I wanted. I’m not a traditional person and she made my dress fit my style.
Annemarie is friendly, has unique style, is reasonably priced, and extremely good at what she does. I would recommend her to anyone. In fact, I made the fiancé get his suit fitted there as well.
My only regret is not going to her sooner and having her make my dress from scratch.
Do yourself a favor and don’t go anywhere else.

I don’t know where to begin. Annamarie is amazing. From the very start of our interactions she was so helpful and kind. I was extremely unsure of what I wanted for my wedding dress and I sent Annamarie so many emails of different dresses and she was always patient with me. When I finally decided which dress I was interested in, we got to work. Our appointments were always a pleasure. I felt like Annamarie did her best to familiarize me with fabric and silhouettes so that we were always on the same page.
Fast forward to the time when my dress was ready to be handed to me. I was so happy with the final product. I took it home, tried it on and noticed that the boning on the strapless bodice looked a bit unnatural. Annamarie removed the boning without a problem and I once again felt so relieved that I had her to help me. In addition, the pricing was extremely reasonable for what I received. I felt like I got a $ 2000 gown for nowhere near that price. She helped me with fabric, which I was extremely grateful for.
I eloped on a mountain waterfall in Oregon and the dress stood up to all of those conditions. I was climbing up rocks, being sprayed by the mist of the waterfall, you name it. Everything was perfect. Annamarie is amazing.

Annamarie is so sweet, friendly and easy to work with! She worked with my budget and came in on Sunday’s for my fittings. I showed her a picture of the dress I was in love with and made some tweaks. It was a simple two piece dress, open back, with two hidden wristlets attached to the train and built in pockets! Which by the way, came in super handy! She also helped with recommendations of the fabric and where to buy it. I had an in-​person consultation, three fittings and the final dress pick up. She met with me every two weeks and made sure I was happy with the end result.
She’s amazing in what she does and it shows in her work. The dress totally matched my personality and also the venue. I got so many dress compliments the day of my wedding and even random people coming up to me at The Line Hotel lobby where we stayed, asking about my dress. I would definitely recommend her, she’s awesome!

The location is like stepping back in time to the early 1900’s so nostalgic and calming, leave all your stress at the door step and let AnnMarie begin to create the perfect silhouette. I left all of my wedding gown fittings completely at ease and so relieved that I had found her. She is incredibly poised, talented and beautiful. My gown had an entire custom bodice that needed to be sewn into the gown and it was done flawlessly. She also spend so much time with my bustle and made sure I knew the difference between each of the kinds of bustles before we all decided what was most appealing to the eye. Her pricing is so fair and the attention to detail is impeccable. There is no rush with your appointment and she will sit right down, positioned on the floor, beside you and address each part so you can see the work as it is being perfected… I honestly loved that… so talented and so humble is rare in this world. There’s no other place to consider with an important event. ReVamp is so unique and such a reflection of the brilliant and lovely owner that is such a dream to work with on such a monumental event in my life.
Tips: check if the door is actually locked first as you have to buzz in on the key pad but if it’s open the key pad will not respond.
Parking: if you pass her building a few doors down is a yellow awning its a restaurant you can pull through straight ahead is a Joes parking lot kinda pricey it it will max you out at 12.00 or there’s metered parking on main which is a little tricky depending on time of day as will if your carrying your gown.

Annamarie is a magician. There is no other way to describe the work that she does – In a week’s worth of time, she transformed my dress into a masterpiece that fit perfectly. I will forever be grateful to her as she took me in the last minute and helped me get through this hurdle.

AnnaMarie is absolutely amazing! She is truly talented. I took my wedding dress to her in tears. It was about 3 sizes too big and looked like a potato sack. She promised me that she would be able to fix it and not to worry about bringing it to her until 1 month before the wedding. I was losing weight and wasn’t sure if the dress would be able to be altered enough.
I took the dress to her 30 days before my wedding. She completely changed the form of the dress. She took out the corset lace in the back, and added a zipper. She separated bottom half of the dress and reattached it in a higher position that flattered my body better than I could have ever expected. She fixed a few missing buttons, and added some «poof» to the mermaid skirt.
I came in 2 weeks later and the dress was almost perfect. It was pulling weird in one spot. I came back the next day and the dress was 100%. It was everything I dreamed it would be. It is obvious that she knew exactly what she was doing. I never had any doubts about her skills or work ethic.
I would refer AnnaMarie to anyone. She is so wonderful to work with and makes you feel confident that you will get what you want.

Annamarie is an amazing designer and seamstress! I got connected with her from a friend who got period piece costumes from her for a one-​woman show last year. Annamarie is knowledgeable, personable, and quick (not to mention beyond reasonable). My wedding dress didn’t need a whole lot of alterations, which I had thought, but Annamarie confirmed it when I saw her for my 1st fitting. I want to say that because I am not sure how much her other services or clothing costs. My alterations were minimal. However, I am very happy with the results. If you want quality clothing, design, and alterations, she can’t be beat!

I found Annamarie from ReVamp here on Unilocal.I was looking to take 3 different wedding dresses and pick and choose what I wanted from each dress to make the perfect dress for me. I contacted ReVamp via email to ask if she did wedding dresses that were modern as her specialty looked to be vintage. She responded in less than 30 minutes. I met with Annamarie and liked her the second I met her. She is totally awesome. I showed her what I wanted from each dress and she drew up a sketch right then and gave me a price quote (not including fabric). We did my measurements gave a deposit and the dress process was beginning. When it came time to buy fabric she gave me suggestions as I know nothing about fabric. She also gave me the names of her wholesale vendors. I went picked out what I wanted and sent her the information. Annamarie went and purchased the fabric and lace for me and I paid her at my next fitting. The entire process was amazing. A couple times I had to bring my toddler son with me and Annamarie did not bat an eye. She was totally fine with it. She worked around my schedule as I could only come on weekends. I can not express enough to Annamarie how greatful I am to have had her make my wedding dress. I recommend Annamarie and ReVamp to anyone looking to have clothing made, vintage or otherwise. I was able to see her other work as it is displayed in her showroom. Thank you Annamarie for everything. My wedding is in 12 days and I can not wait to share my pictures with you.

After my wedding being 6months away & my nonstop dress hunting, I had enough.
All of the dress shops couldn’t guarantee the dresses I was interested in to be ready for my wedding day– or they didn’t carry the size etc.
I wasent deeply in love with any after going to about 9 stores & I was OVER IT.
Annemarie guaranteed that she could make my dress in 6 weeks if needed.
After talking to her & showing her my ideas, I felt confident in her .
She’s easy to communicate with, she is open to whatever makes you as a customer happy, she is prompt & promising & she leaves the ball in your court. She doesn’t make decisions for you, and only suggests if you ask .

She made a dress dead on my photos but I changed my mind ! Luckily, my dress was able to be adjusted .
She is quick& efficient & she really wants to make your dream come true. She made me an exact replica of what I wanted, for a cheaper price than the dress shops .

Was shopping for a wedding I was in this summer and the blond salesgirl (with braids, I think Tina) at Jetrag told me that if I wanted to change the dress I was looking at there I could have it altered here. I had one I had ripped when I wore it at a gig years ago and decided to see if there was a chance. She was able to fix it and make it longer by adding to it, not sure how she did it but wow it looks like brand new. Annamarie was the reason I looked so good in all the photos.

Annamarie is a miracle worker. I brought her in a hideous dress that I had to wear for an event. It was a terrible color and didn’t fit. I was pretty despondent. Well, she couldn’t do anything about the color, but she managed to take the nightmare of a dress and at least make it fit me in a more flattering way. She even improved the look by creating a nice keyhole detail in the back and removing a horrible ruffle around the neckline. Her confidence made me feel better and the price was fair, falling in the middle of the range she initially quoted me. Plus, it was a joy to be in her studio amid all her gorgeous vintage designs, which helped distract me from my disaster of a dress. It was the best alterations experience I’ve had and I’d highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to make lemonade out of a lemon of a dress.

I had an amazing experience with reVamp! I originally called and spoke with the owner Annamarie when I was looking for a vintage wedding dress. She explained to me that they recreate, repair and tailor vintage dresses so once I found a vintage dress, reVamp would be the place to bring it.
A month or so later, I had my vintage wedding dress, and since it needed a little bit of tailoring, I called reVamp. Annamarie scheduled my appointment and I met her at the shop. First of all, the reVamp space is wonderful — airy, charming and full of vintage touches that instantly make you feel like you’re in the right place. Second of all, Annamarie is wonderful — she knows her sh*t, was super professional, and offered me great advice and feedback after seeing the dress. She told me that the dress would be ready in two weeks, & scheduled an appointment for me to pick it up.
I came back two weeks later, and I could tell that the dress had been in good hands — the tailoring was perfect, and Annamarie paid careful attention to the construction of the dress, all the way down to the original vintage label. The dress looks amazing, and I hope I have an excuse to visit reVamp soon!

I cannot recommend Annamarie enough! I am getting married in the fall, and my dress needed a lot of alterations, some of which were pretty complicated. Annamarie hemmed it, shortened the shoulders, let out the bust, and replaced the original zipper with buttons & loops. Her alterations were completely on-​point. When I came in for my next fitting, I still wanted the hem a little shorter, and I wanted the shoulders taken up a little more. Annamarie was totally cool with this and didn’t even charge me any more than the originally-​quoted (and super-​reasonable) price. I really appreciated that she always made helpful suggestions without ever being pushy– never felt like I didn’t have control over my dress. She’s also incredibly sweet and fun to talk to while you’re getting fitted, and the shop has a great ambience! I can’t wait to wear my dress – thank you, Annamarie!

Love that the work was done quickly and affordable. I wasn’t really sure how much a wedding gown’s alteration would cost but when I heard the price I was very surprised. If the place wasn’t mostly 1920 – 1960 clothing I would use them again for custom made clothes. Other than that the place is the cutest thing ever it’s like you step back in time and your walking in the I Love Lucy apartment it’s lovely. Thanks again for the alteration on my gown.

When I decided I wanted a wedding gown to call my own I knew it wouldn’t be easy. Of course every gorgeous shift-​style dress was out of my price range (and besides that, not perfectly what I wanted), so I began searching for a dressmaker.
I found Annamarie and ReVamp online and went in for a meeting.
We discussed my initial hopes for the gown (contemporary Edwardian in nature), types of fabric, the process of getting it all done, and of course price!
Annamarie was so easy to talk to about all of it, but she kept the ball in my court. I never felt pressured to change my desires about the design.
After talking about fabric she pointed me in the direction of her favorite places for silk and lace and sent me off to explore and purchase (after taking measurements of course).
Every two weeks we had a fitting session that also ended up being a design session. The conversation stayed open as long as it needed to. «It feels like something’s missing… what if we did this… we could do this…» until finally all the little pieces came together and we had a dress!
I can’t tell you how many questions and compliments I received on my wedding day and after. Everyone wanted to know where I bought it, and the look on their face when I said it was hand-​done for me based on my ideas was priceless.
I love knowing that my dress is completely unique, and it truly made me feel like the most beautiful bride in the world.

I am so happy that I went to Annamarie at Revamp to make my wedding dress. I tried a few bridal shops first and really didn’t like much that I saw there. My taste is modern but my venue was Art Deco. I took a bunch of pictures into the shop and we discussed things I liked and didn’t like about dresses I’ve seen. Annamarie made a totally original creation for me that fit with the 1930’s venue but was still simple and modern and fit my taste and body perfectly.
Bridal shops are such a scam, they make you buy a dress that is too big so there’s «room for alterations» and then they charge you a bunch of money to have it altered down to your size. After having a gown made from scratch to MY measurements I realized what a ridiculous process that is.
Annamarie STARTS with your measurements and then makes a muslin (basically a prototype of your dress out of inexpensive fabric) so you can see exactly how your dress will fit and make changes before she goes on to the final fabric. I have to say, that muslin was the best fitting dress I had ever tried on! She also coaches you on what silhouettes would look best on your body and steers you away from things that might be less flattering. I love the look of a silk charmeuse bias cut, but it shows every imperfection. Instead Annamarie created a dress that had the FEEL of a bias cut but was much more flattering. I was extremely happy with how it turned out, it was exactly what I wanted. I would have never been able to find a dress that original that fit me so well in a store.
