My appointment was at 1:30 and I was called in at 1:45. I totally understand why someone would be upset about having to wait for the doctor, but 15 minutes was not a long wait. I liked how the first person you see asks for a brief summary about your eyes. By the time the doctor sees you, he already knows how to address the issues. The first person also checked my vision, checked my eye’s pressure, and dilated my eyes. I knew that Dr. Gallemore would not be seeing me until they finished my eye angiogram, and after my eyes were dilated. I will admit that I was at the doctor’s office for about an hour and a half. In Dr. Gallemore’s defense, I admire how he’ll take care of a patient right then and there, instead of rescheduling you for a procedure. In other words, I came in for a follow-up visit on previous appointments, and informed him that I saw flashing lights. On that same day, he performed laser surgery! I am VERYTHANKFUL that he took care of me on the same day. I am certain that this may have caused a delay in seeing the other patients, but I admire him for taking care of his patients. A previous doctor that I saw last year told me that my flashes were due to my age. Unfortunately, my right eye is now legally blind due to that previous doctor. When I called Dr Gallemore’s office for the very first time, he double booked to fit me in the following day. He performed laser surgery on that day, and he scheduled the first available appointment for vitrectomy pars plana surgery. He definitely cares about his patients. If you’re waiting a long time for him, he’s worth waiting for. I will never forget how he immediately took care of me, instead of rescheduling another appointment for my laser surgeries. Other doctors would have rescheduled so that they could charge for an additional office visit. It’s nice seeing a doctor’s office filled with patients. Would you eat at a restaurant that did not have any customers? I would not.
