I was EXTREMELY thirsty this one LA Fall and needed to hydrate. Luckily this was on the way. Ambiance Parking: Street parking. It’s across from a high school and a church so it can get pretty packed but you should be generally good on weekends and non mass times. Seating: * Seating is outside. It can accommodate a good 20 people. Group seating. Feels: * The fact that it’s on a pretty busy street was pretty cool. You have a nice view of LA and the football field of the high school. Not the most gentrified place which makes it pretty cool and authentic. I personally haven’t had any issues with safety, I guess cause it’s by a church. Food: Horchata(Recommend) I would say that it’s pretty legit. Quite milky and cinammon-y not the best drink to get you hydrated by a sweet and delicious sip. Customer Service: My $ 20 bill was a bit ripped and they wouldn’t allow it. Other than that I can respect their service. Overall: 3.5 stars. The quantity/quality of my drink was reasonable. Service was quick and price was about right. I am intrigued to sit down and try their other dishes so definitely this will be on my list of places to try when I’m back in this neck of the woods. TL;DR Tips: *$ 10 minimum to use a card.

+5 stars for excellent burritos, pupusas, and tacos. I have tried it all: the meat is delicious and the food is cooked perfectly. –3 stars for TURTLESLOWSERVICE. I understand that fresh meals take longer than 5 minutes to make, but when I am the ONLY customer in the entire restaurant, a 50-minute wait time for a SINGLEBURRITO is unacceptable. The long wait is disheartening. I’ll take my service elsewhere. Too bad I will be missing out on some pretty yummy food.

This location is not only beyond disgusting but their service is horrible. They have a minor taking orders the last time I checked that’s illegal to have a minor working. Not only they were prepping food with no gloves! while this minor was taking my order I paid cash she went back to prepping food with no gloves AND she did not washing her hands. After waiting for 40 minutes for my food and watching other people receiving their food people that were there after me I was like WTF why is my food not ready! The stupid cook from the back says there’s many orders in front of you you need to wait I was like maybe they need to hire a better /quicker cook. This cook said that because she didn’t think I spoke Spanish. After being frustrated for 40 minutes I decided to stand up so they were aware that I was waiting for a long time that’s when one of those servers said excuse me you’re in my way of working and she pushes through the way in front of me and grab forks and spoons and almost hits me in the face with it. Thats when I had it. I asked for my money back and I received it. The point is that this place is not only disgusting, unprofessional, and illegal but a rip off 3 breakfasts for $ 36 sorry but this place is not a five star restaurant not even a 1 start restaurant more like –2 stars. I will never come here again. I will be be calling the health department. I practice better sanitation at home!

Yes, they take a while. But they are fresh. Best by far. Worth The wait. Best to call in advance.

This comment is for the people that complain that they take a long time to prepare the food. The reason why they take longer than other restaurants is because the make the dishes at the time that you order, so it’s fresh and delicious. If you want to get something fast to eat, taco bell is down the street. THEYHAVETHEBESTPUPUSAS !!

If you are looking for a refreshing drink on a hot day ask for the ensalata. It is soooo fresh and sooooo delicious. I can’t stop drinking it. It comes with fresh fruit inside which is a must eat!

Takes for ever… They literally have four ladies in there cooking and it took them 30 minutes to get an order of beans and fried plantain to go… Geezuz it doesn’t need to take that long… I saw my plate put in the counter and it took them another 5 to place it in a bag and give it to me

I’m only giving a three star rating because it literally took 20 minutes to get my food to go. The food is very good with the exception of the cooks continuously talking in the back and eating as they are cooking. Really people? I like the food, the pupusas where awesome, but the attitude and customer service I will pass on.

The Pupusas are fresh, tasty and very HOT. Be careful. Yes the service here can be slow, but there are real people making real food, relax. This place is so legit they don’t speak English, like nada. On Mondays and Wednesdas the papusa are $ 1.25 when orederd to go.

The pupusas and the horchata were really good. Server was nice but service in general is a bit strange. You sit yourself outside then she takes your order, food takes forever, she brings you the food, then you go inside to pay. The inside is very unappetizing and I’m glad I ate before seeing it. Food was good but I wouldn’t go back.

Wellll service is not ideal — they took forever to bring the pupusas out because they were«very busy» even tho there was only one other person here. Kind of frustrating to wait 20 minutes for something that every other restaurant serves up in 10 minutes or less. I def won’t be coming back because ain’t nobody got time for that.

Lunchtime!!! This place is right across the street from my office(and of course I drive there! Don’t judge I have a half an hour lunch break) the pupusas are alright. I will give them 3 stars, the horchata is the shit –5 stars! My boss ordered a toreja… omg. YUCK. no stars… it was just a wanna be french toast… I’ve had Mexican torejas and those are bomb, my boss did say that they didn’t really taste the way they are suppoes to, so maybe it was just this one. This is the closest place to get my pupusa fix during lunch and my place to go anytime for the yummy horchata — soo soo good! They have a huge menu, but never tried anything else. Also, don’t forget to bring your cash because it is cash only.

If you’re looking for pupusas in its best form. look no further. The pupusas here is DELICIOUS and 3 or 4 of them for $ 1.20 each make a very cheap yet very satisying lunch. The family that owns the joint is really friendly as well, although you need to know at least some Spanish to communicate with most of them.

I’ve gone to many other pupusas places and so far these are the best they are full of flavor everything. Is fresh and they give you your money’s worth. The owners and especially very friendly

Well I have not tried anything else besides the pupusas and a carne asada burrito thats why I am only giving this place 3 stars. They are not expensive for one, two they are a good size and not super greasy or too dry, they fill them up with enough ingredients and I feel I am getting my moneys worth! Next step for me is to try and taste the rest of the menu and maybe raise this review as far as the burrito… well is a good size not the greatest but not bad at all! I would order it again as long as they come up with some hot sauce, I know its a Salvadorian restaurant but we in LA and some of us need that hot sauce!!! lol!
