Wish I had discovered this place much sooner than the day I moved away, but this place is great. I tried the mushroom philly and it was so delicious! The meat was to die for and the roll it was served with was perfect. I ate the first half immediately and the second about 3 hours later and it was SOOO good! Looks like a random hole in wall, but it they’re usually the best.

Kinda in a crappy neighborhood shopping center but I can look past all that if the food is good. The cheesesteaks were just okay. Pricing was reasonable though. Probably wouldn’t come back here for a philly.

The pizza steak is a good way to go but so are the other steaks too. The place is clean and Noli and his staff are really cool. The large sandwich is really large so split it or get it for now and a bit later. Great for anytime you are hungry and they are open.

I absolutely love this place. It was my first time eating here but I loved it. I asked for delivery since I was working and it was delivered in 10 minutes which was awesome. The delivery guy was kind and very quick. The food was delicious. I’ll be a returning customer especially since my place of business is so close to them.

This place is great. I have not had a bad experience either in-store, or for delivery. I get them to deliver more often than not, and every one of the delivery drivers has been nice, and the food comes as anticipated. The most I’ve waited is just over an hour, and that was peak dinner time rush, and that was the estimated delivery time anyway. It doesn’t normally take that long. The food is delicious! And the people in the restaurant are really nice, too. I’m a big fan of this place.

so as I had previously stated, if a place calls it self a philly steak place it must have the following: Phillidelphia memorbillia ie Phillies stuff, and a list of people from philidelphia and of course needs to have rolls from Amoroso or similar, in other words, no hard as hell crusty bread. oh and they NEED to have wiz. so i got their standard, and i asked if they have wiz. The said yes. to which i was saying cool in my head, that means they are almost there. or so i thought. I also had said no onions. but they gave me that. worse… turns out when they thought i said wiz they thought i said SWISSCHEESE. i was like wtf?@ thats a fucking sin right there! the meat was good service was good, BUT the rest, thus why i only give two stars. It should be illegal to call yourself anything cheese steak if you don’t know how to truly make it.

Delivery guy was awesome and gal who took order was great. The food sucked though! Fries were half-cooked, went into trash! The sandwich just didn’t taste very good. Bland! Strangely so! The meat also was full of gristle. 16 plus $ 5 tip= 21 wasted dollars! total waste of money and fat grams!

I’m impressed by the cheesesteak, the rest is mediocre. the salad i had(can’t precisely describe it) taste funny, even the fries. I think 3 stars is good enough, since i really enjoyed my cheesesteak and the service was fast.

Love this place! It’s a little hole in the wall in a strip mall on Santa Monica and Vine that makes a wicked cheesesteak. They have a wide variety of sandwiches they make to order and I’ve been coming here for years for a to go sandwich, which is great because it’s walking distance of theater row and if you need a quick, inexpensive, filling, and tasty bite, this is the place to get it! They do salads and other stuff, too, but their cheesesteaks are great! And with a side of steak fries, I’m in freaking heaven! Very affordable and there is parking, too, always tricky in this part of Hollywood.

In all fairness, I have order some good steak sandwiches from here before and never had to much to complain about, except for the occasional soggy bread here and there. Sadly to say today I have a problem. After bumping heads together and reviewing all other options(check pics) with co-workers we decided to go with Steak Depot. I called to see if I could get a grilled cheese sandwich and to my delight I was told that they could make it happen. I was very well grateful for that because that’s something that isn’t on the menu. Since it was a special request I asked how much would it be and I was quoted $ 6.00 dollars for a grilled cheese on wheat bread. No problem, thought to myself hmmm some onion rings would be Bomb with my «going meat free» lunch theme and so I commenced to getting them to complete my order. Well, after receiving my food in a timely manner, I opened my bag to find what words alone can not describe(see pictures), oh the«HORROR» I felt. I was really hungry and my mouth was watering for this savory(supposed to be a gooey, crisp, cheesy madness) of a meal complete with some onion rings, I mean go hard or go home Damn it. Welp somewhere passing home and heading towards hard Steak Depot just straight up threw the map in the trash and went rouge then must have gotten loss and ended up in a ditch. While there in that same ditch they made my food too. Just look at the pictures. Before posting I called to resolve this matter and was told by the guy that was answering the phone(Today May 23,2015 @ 1:30pm) that, «yea I just threw in the corner of the bag because we are so busy». In which I just heard, «LoL, yep I’m a lazy ass and yep I thought it was A_Okay to serve you this». After an unreal admission on how I just had been done so dirty he offers to replace my order. I wanted to give him a chance to redeem this nonsense so I agreed to a replacement order. Its now 3:50 pm and I believe I’m probably not going to be eating lunch today. I never Really understood the thinking behind the stories of people calling the police on fast food places till now. I fell like I’ve been VIOLATED and robbed. Like strong arm robbery because I’m sitting here hungry, semi-broke and Highly PISSED.

I have to say the sandwiches here are decent, at best. When you dine in they are fresh and good. Although if you order they are disgusting and soggy. Not to mention their delivery driver is an absolute jerk. I recently ordered through EAT24 and left a 15% tip which is what I normally tip delivery drivers. The driver arrived and the first thing out of his mouth was literally«you need to leave more tip». An argument ensued after of course and left a sour taste in my mouth for this place. I hate to leave these kinds of reviews but this driver, an elderly Asian man was just the worst and shouldn’t be allowed to deliver with that type of behavior.

I’ve ordered from here many times but always go the same thing the pepper steak which I think is good(1 star). I decided to order a bacon burger today with fires, chili on the side and the pepper steak combo with the salad. The burger was burnt, the lettuce looked old, and the fries looked old also. The ranch dressing was not ranch. I don’t know what they are passing off as ranch. The sodas were watered down due to the ice, I took maybe 4 sips before it was gone and the side of chili was more like dog food. But like I side the pepper steak was good not great but good.

I will not even give this one star. I’ve been a very steady regular customer for a year or so. Even after several mistakes, I kept going back. The other night I ordered and when my food was delivered 1 ½ hours later, it was as if the delivery driver spilled water in my bag. Everything was wet and soggy. EVERYTHING even my bread on my sandwich. I called to say this is just not acceptable. The woman said this exactly«I can send the driver to pick up the food, but no refunds on deliveries!!!» and she hung up on me. I will not order from here again and I will do everything I can to get my $ 23.00 back for one sandwich!!! And the food is still in the refrigerator waiting for the delivery driver to come back and get it!!!

I was speaking with an ex-co-worker a week ago, and we were reminiscing about our FAVORITE place that delivered lunch when we worked in mid-Wilshire between Beverly Hills and Miracle Mile, and I never could remember the name, ’til he told me it was«Philly Steak Depot» and when I visited the Unilocal page, I saw a photo of the menu with the logo and felt nostalgic about the days of yore. It’s been about 7 years or so since I’ve eaten here, but I remember the sandwiches were so big, yet so delicious, we’d order 3 large ones and split ‘em between the two of us as we couldn’t get enough of the deliciousness. We both liked it without cheese, so the sandwich was served on a very soft roll(maybe it even got softer when delivered as the steam from the heat moistened the wrapped sandwiches on their journey to their final destination of our offices) and I remember the onion and green bell pepper sandwich had the seasoned beef meat chopped and minced together for the perfect blend. So, with that, my review based on my memories starts off the * * * * * five stars they earned after our dozens of repeated orders. Now, I’m going to make it a point, now that I know the name and location, to revisit Philly Steak Depot and once I do that I’ll update this review with photos and a description of a soon to be recent experience here. I hope it’s the same as it was, since the memories are so vivid, but that was quite a while ago.

When a delivery driver comes to your door and doesn’t have your full order and you ask about it and they tell you that you are wrong and you didn’t order that and they just leave and then you go double check and see that yes you did order the missing item and you have to call the restaurant to have them bring your full order… they get 1 star. If they had forgotten something and used some customer service skills and said, «oh I’m sorry, let me check on that for you» instead of saying you were just simply wrong and then leaving, they would have gotten stars based on the quality of food. I haven’t even tasted it… the service left a pretty terrible taste in my mouth. First and last time I’ll order from here. … Update: Soda was watery(no cans, served in a Styrofoam cup filled mostly with ice), Philly sandwich was mediocre at best, and the fries would have been mediocre too if they weren’t covered in the most disgusting cheese/cheese-product I’ve ever tasted. Seriously so gross. Still a single star rating. They’re just not good. Save your money and your appetite and try another place.

Best philly sandwich in LA This is place for Quality of philly steak sandwich. Size is also super AA. Meanwhile, it is very price and limited sitting tables. Still I love it. The fries are good too. Buger is also looking good.

This is a great philly cheesesteak place. The food is great in a great location in Los Angeles, but the service is ok. They’ve continually gotten my order and evidently from reading reviews multiple orders wrong. It’s a nice place to get a great philly cheesesteak, but they can’t seem to get the orders recognized. One time they gave me the wrong sandwich while I waited in store. I got home and came back asking what had happened and the girl just smiled like it was funny and said oh this is your sandwich, which was already cold from sitting out. Not the best service and they often don’t get orders right, but good food when they do.

Ordered from Eat24. The food I got wasn’t terrible… but the way the food is wrapped makes the food a soggy mess. NOTETOPHILLYSTEAKDEPOT — don’t wrap your damn food in paper! The paper sticks to everything. It makes everything like a damp wash cloth. Seriously… I’ve seen other complaints about this. It’s a real problem. The food is just — meh. I got the chicken steak and it wasn’t the worst, but it wasn’t great. The fries and the fried mushrooms we ordered — well who knows? By the time they arrive in their paper steaming chambers, it’s hard to tell what they might have been like if fresh and not, you know, wet. So no… I can’t recommend ordering anything from this place. Unless you like that wet paper towel texture in your food.
