I started getting my eyelashes done almost a year ago with Peniel. I have a short edgy haircut and was looking for a low maintenance way to add femininity and glamour to my look.
I was nervous the first time that it would hurt or that I wouldn’t like the results. It did sting a little, but I was so relieved and excited to when they turned out SO well! (I get tons of compliments)
My extensions last about a month and they are relatively affordable. The staff is friendly and easy to schedule with. I’ve sent three of my friends here too!
This is a great way to pamper yourself. Give it a try :)

I’ve never had eyelash extensions in my life, but figured I would give it a try. People always say how long my lashes are, but over the years with wearing fake lashes out I think they have lost some of their fullness.
I did extensive research on companies in the area – between Pasadena & Koreatown (I work in Pasadena and live near k-​town). I found Peniel on Unilocal of course and then found them on groupon. I knew most places offer some sort of first time deal and I was correct.
I called and Sean picked up. He said even if I did not purchase the groupon, he would still grant me the 50% off. I had already purchased so it was fine. I made an appointment for the following Tuesday. I ended up having to change it because I forgot I had a meeting and Sean was super responsive by text and changed it right away. Since it was my first time, he recommended I come in at 5pm so we could go over options.
I found the place right away and parking was easy in their lot. I walked in and Sean was so friendly and we went over options. I showed him a few photos and he looked at my natural lashes. He took me back to meet Jane and she started working right away. I think all in all in took 1 hour and 5 minutes. I was really nervous but the entire process was so painless and easy. I put my headphones in and listened to the new serial podcast.
My lashes looked great! I thought they were long before but I was wrong. They also look so natural and I don’t feel a thing. I’m really excited and probably going to be addicted to extensions now.

Love my lashes! If I wasn’t such a wuss and didn’t mind the fumes from the glue during application, I would’ve given them 5 stars. The discomfort from the glue doesn’t last long and they fan your eyes to help relieve some of the pain!

Sean gives me very concise description on every kind of eyelashes. Jane is also super professional and nice. I recommend this place to all my friends!

For my very first eyelash extension experience, I was very pleased! I was a little apprehensive about getting them in the first place, because I’d heard of some bad results from other places. But I’m so glad I decided to give it a try. I got the mink upgrade. They felt really light and looked so natural (exactly what I wanted!). They have so many different options to choose from so that you can tailor it to your needs. Both the technician and receptionist were friendly and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend Peniel to my friends!

This is maybe the only bad Unilocal review I’ve ever left, but I had such bizarre experience here I had to share it.
I purchased a Groupon here for eyelash extensions (which I was super excited about because the reviews are all so good!) I called and made my appointment, and, initially, the man who helped me was great. Unfortunately, I had some health issues come up and was unexpectedly in the hospital when my appointment came around. I wasn’t able to cancel beforehand, or answer when they called me. «Eyelash extensions» fell lower on my list of priorities (although I like to think they would have revolutionized my morning routine– no mascara! no curling! ahhhh!). I forgot to call them back until this week.
When I called today I asked if I could make an appointment with my Groupon, and they remembered me from before! I told them I was sorry that I couldn’t make the appointment because I was in the hospital and tried to make a new appointment. The man on the phone told me that because I never called him back, they would not make me a new appointment. We did a couple minutes of clarifying– «I can’t come in and give you money for your services because I missed my original appointment”– and he reiterated «No we can’t make a new appointment for you». The whole experience left me really confused and super bummed out :/​I guess the moral is if you make an appointment here be sure to keep it!

I love this place! I’ve been getting my lashes done for years now and this is one of the best places I’ve been to thus far. At the beginning he explained to me the different options of hair and which style and size is better for me and I found that to be very helpful. Great costumer service and overall experience. I am definitely coming back.

Had my lashes done here before my honeymoon because I didn’t plan on wearing any makeup and still wanted to look fresh. Loved it! The place is very clean, they walked me through my options and educated me on the different types of lashes, they were fast, and they did a beautiful job! I highly recommend this place. Pricing is fair too.

Lovely work, lovely prices. They have different styles and the place is oh so clean. At first I couldn’t read anything because I think it’s all Korean on the signs but I didn’t let this stop us. I wanted to get my niece some eyelashes and I’m glad I did. She looks lovely and they look so natural. $ 60 for 10 mm eyelashes (silk)

Peniel Eyelash is so awesome! I’ve gotten extensions from so many places and I will say that Peniel looks the best and is super durable. The first time I got them done here, I went to Bikram yoga, wake boarding, and swimming, and they endured all of that for a long time. The BEST thing about it to me though is how quickly and efficiently Jane works. She was done in about 50 minutes!!! I’ve spent up to 2.5 hrs in at other places with my neck all kinked and the restlessness setting in. Sean is helpful with booking appointments and is super responsive via text which is really convenient. Parking is available behind the building.

ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT! This was my first time ever getting eyelash extensions. The location is very easy to find and they have parking available. I loved that they actually took the time to explain the difference between the different lashes available. He had plenty of pictures to help make the process of choosing what I wanted easier.
I’ve been wearing mine for a week and I love them. As soon as I saw how good they looked I booked my second appointment.

I went here this past Saturday to get eyelash extensions for the very first time — I was not disappointed! They were able to take me in fairly last minute appointment (I made it a few days prior) and I even luckily found a Groupon for the place, which they gladly accepted.
I had actually been referred here by a friend who’s eyelashes looked amazing the last time I saw her, so I was convinced to give it a shot. Upon arrival, Sean, the coordinator of all the appointments, showed me the different types of eyelashes available for me, from the type of curl, type of material, to the type of length. He also gave me suggestions based on my existing eyelashes and what I was looking to achieve.
I got the 10 mm length, C curl (most common). I got it in the thicker eyelash so that it looks like I’m wearing mascara. I was brought into a room where I laid down for about 50 minutes and they applied the eyelashes on me painlessly and without any issues (as far as I was aware).
I love the new look of my eyelashes and I think I may even be addicted to them now, I can’t ever imagine going back to normal eyelashes now that I have these! It saves me time in curling my eyelashes and putting on eyeliner and mascara on my top lids in the morning. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking to give eyelash extensions a try.

Excellent Service!!! The Best in Town!!! I’ve been getting my eyelash extensions done for almost two years, and this place is the first place where they perfected it the first time around exactly how wanted! Loved the service quality :)

My review is based after 2.5 weeks of wear.
First of all, this place is hard to find. I drove past it twice not expecting it to be located in a clinic. But on a good note, there was plenty of parking.
I came on time and was ushered in to meet with a guy who showed me a folder of silk vs mink lashes. As it was my first time he gave me 50% off. I chose the mink (j-​curl, 11mm) which would end up costing $ 80 but was promised longer wear and lightness with good personal care.
It took one hour. After the first few days I already noticed that my right eye had a lot of fall out compared to my left. And it was also curled higher. It was weird. But overall, it still looked good from far away. It only bothered me when I stared at it in the mirror.
But after 1 week, I must have lost about 30% of my right lashes. Considering this was my 10^th time doing lashes I knew that this wasn’t normal. My left eye looked perfect with rarely any fallout.
So today, while using my laptop 2 lashes fell out that were glued to my single lash and I noticed how thick and heavy it was between my fingers. When I chose mink I expected it to be authentic mink. But the lashes had a heavier and plastic-​ier feel.
I don’t know if I got jipped. Overall, I don’t care much considering I already labeled this as a loss. I just know that I’m still looking for a new eyelash place and i won’t be trusting Unilocal again.

I have finally found my LA eyelash extension place! I discovered Peniel through a Groupon and was super satisfied with my experience there.
There is a designated parking lot, so no need to worry about parking meters (always a HUGE plus for me!) and Sean (who answers the phone for appointments and questions through his cell phone) sends text message confirmations and is easy to reach via either phone or text.
Sean has also been super flexible with me both times I’ve been in — I’ve changed my appointment times via text message with no problem at all. You can also book online appointments which is helpful.
Jane (I think that’s is her name?) is the one that has done my eyelashes both times. She is quick and quiet, which I love since I use the hour it takes (yes, only an hour for both eyelashes!) to nap and relax. They provide a cozy little blanket and relaxing music.
They offer both types of lashes, mink and silk (I always go for mink, slightly more expensive but more natural looking and longer lasting). A full set of mink is $ 120, and mine lasted over a month and a half before I felt they looked as though they needed to be redone.

I absolutely love peniel eyelash! This was my very first eyelash extension and I am hooked. Jane does an amazing job making sure the eyelashes look beautiful. I am in love =) I will definitely be back.
