Decided it was time to have a date with my 2 favorite girls that walk this earth. My beautiful daughters. Yes I have date with my kids. My 15 year old, Abby, has been wanting to watch Avengers, so we figured lets head over to the theater & since they have this Penguin’s right next door we can have some dessert. Place wasn’t packed(thank god for that), service was great, facility was clean, & lady behind the counter was more than patient with us. I went for the double scoop of Strawberry Cheesecake & Coconut Pineapple ice cream, while my 17 year old Carol opted for the Pistachio & Butter Pecan. Abby on the other hand just wanted a cherry frozen lemonade. Carol of course didn’t like the Pistachio ice cream but Abby & I on the other hand were perfectly happy & content with what we got. We will definitely be back another time.

Ahhh ok. So this place is definitely not an authentic Penguins, it just sports the name. Im giving it 3 stars because I’m a local, the owner remembers me, and he remembers my usual«one small vanilla frozen yogurt.» I have to confess… Even though i dont think its real frozen yogurt, I love the frozen yogurt here. That is the only thing I get. I have to be honest, there was a point where i would come here every day just for a small frozen yogurt. I think i kept them in business for a few months haha. But cmon, this place is seriously like 45 seconds from my house and a small frozen yogurt is only $ 2.25. Basically this place doesnt even really deserve 3 stars. I know people who have tried their smoothies/shakes and they almost threw up. But the Ice cream is ok. The owner is pretty passive andhe wasnt very friendly at first. He doesnt really speak english and it wasnt until after 2 weeks of ordering the same thing every day, that he started catching on. This eventually led to him saying thank you… sometimes. I dont really recommend it unless its hot. Even then, most people should just stick to ice cream if theyre to get anything. I think I am the only person on Earth who likes the frozen yogurt from this place.

This place isn’t really a Penguin’s. It’s basically a local mini mart with two little yogurt pumps, and some old, faded Penguin’s signage on the counter. I do not like the tart, Pinkberry style yogurt that a lot of people are into right now. I like the sweet stuff– but this wasn’t that. It was soft serve ice cream! I know this because of the way my stomach reacted to it after I ate it!!!
