I saw Dr Peace twice, she seems nice enough. However, the first visit I waited nearly an hour to have a five minute conversation. I then came back for a follow up appointment after receiving authorization from insurance. They were so overbooked! The waiting room was full of patients with glazed over eyes waiting to be called in. I had to wait an hour an a half to be seen. What is the point in having an appointment? A total waste of time.

I had a horrible experience with the doctor at the is office. I do not recommend people to come here. She was very rude, insulted me and did not listen when I was describing my symptoms. This office needs more professionalism and respect for their patients.

The worst medical experience I have ever had in a dermatologist office. Should you be referred to this doctor, RUN. Rude, arrogant, intimidating and disrespectful to patients. Incompetent staff, who makes crucial mistakes. Run down and dirty office, over an hour wait. The worst level of medical care you can receive. Ugly scars. Misdiagnosed. Zero stars. Hope this doctor retires or does something else. She hates people and has some real issues!

I arrived for my 10:15 appointment at 10:10 to fill out some paperwork since I was a first time patient. My forms were complete by 10:20. By 10:45 I was next up to be called back. They instead called two women who had arrived after me in. I went up to the counter and asked if I was next and the woman replied «Oh you’re not back there already»
I continued to wait, by 11 I asked again, and got the same type of response. Finally at 11:10 when they called a third woman in who had arrived after me I went up and asked what was going on. The woman behind the counter thought it was funny they kept forgetting me. I finally left. This doctors office has deplorable service and I would strongly recommend you choose another doctor to take care of your skin needs.

Came here for laser hair removal, and after 8 sessions, I feel like I threw away that money for nothing. I’m now looking for somewhere else that will do it right the first time. After 8 sessions you would think you would see a huge improvement, I did not! Do not come here.

I’ve been a client of Dr. Peace for 18 years. The service provided to me has always been first class. Before being referred to Dr. Peace, I saw two different dermatologist and neither could help me with my problem. Dr. Peace diagnosed the problem and treated me. I have referred over 10 friends to Dr. Peace and they all love her services. Until Dr. Peace retires, no one will touch my skin unless she refers them to me. I would recommend her and Westchester Dermatology to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

I was referred to this dermatology office by a friend, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back. I’ve been incredibly unimpressed by the way this office has handled things. Each time I have gone, I have waited almost an hour in a waiting room packed with people. It is very clear that they have over booked appointment times. When I did finally see the doctor to have a prescription refilled, she expressed that she thought my dose was too high, but that if my previous doctor had prescribed it then she would just go ahead and give it to me again. UM no, if something seems like too much medication, explain to me why, don’t just mindlessly prescribe the same dose. As I was leaving, I noticed a large sign advertising skin bleaching cream, which I found to be pretty offensive. I was surprised that a doctor would condone something that very clearly seems toxic to put in your body, not to mention a strange display of racism. I paid for my appointment on the spot, and was then billed again via mail for the same bill I had already paid. When I called to try and clear up the issue, I was hung up on. I don’t usually write Unilocal reviews, but I cannot believe how many things were glaringly wrong with this one simple appointment.

It’s quite interesting to see the polarizing reviews for this clinic. Fortunately, my experience was a good one overall.
The one not-​so-​good thing was that the operations staff could use some improvement. I believe they forgot I was in the office. After waiting patiently in the empty waiting room for 15 min and seeing no patients come in or out, I heard chit chat in the back office and decided to walk up to the check-​in window again, only to see that the registration sticker I was asked to fill out was still sitting there. When they saw me again, they removed the sticker and finally gave me paperwork to fill out. Then I was brought to the back room immediately after.
Once I got to the back room, things proceeded pretty smoothly. The nurse on staff was yawning as I described my symptoms but I suppose that’s forgivable since we all get the after-​lunch food coma once in awhile too.
The good Dr was very nice to me. She patiently explained the cause of my symptoms and answered all my questions (and I’m very inquisitive). I was very happy with the outcome and I will be coming back to her to see about a scar tissue.
One thing I’m curious about though is whether the people giving good reviews here have a good PPO plan, and perhaps the bad reviewers had HMO plans?
I was under a PPO plan one year and an HMO plan the following year in the past. While I had the HMO plan, I experienced what I would call being a second class citizen when I went to the SAME doctor with an HMO rather than my PPO. I hear that doctors get compensated better when a patient has PPO insurance. I’m not saying this is right (in fact, it’s flat out wrong), but may help explain the situation here.

All I can say is that Dr Peace is amazing! Her responsiveness to your concerns is amazing! She is professional, friendly and warm and takes the time to explain everything to you!
I am recommending her to everyone I know, friends and family !

I was unhappy with the level of service provided by Dr. Peace and her office staff. Calls were not returned and misinformation seemed to be provided regarding certain medical and administrative processes and procedures.
I would not recommend her.

Short Story… Find somewhere else!
Long Story…
I was referred to this office by a doctor to have my moles looked at. Check in was easy, and the staff was very nice and accommodating. I was shown to a room and shortly after the doctor came in. Dr. Peace was kind and professional at first, and has this very beautiful glowing skin which gives you this false hope for your own skin health. She took a biopsy of the mole, and the only follow-​up was a letter in the mail a week later saying that it was benign. No other contact was made, other than to sale me on having the rest of my moles removed which would be cosmetic and a large fee. I passed on that offer since my moles look like freckles and is not life threatening.
I went back because of a sign I saw for laser hair removal, I felt she understood my skin so that I would not be burnt from use of the laser. The price was reasonable for 6 treatments. As time went on each treatment, spanned 4 weeks apart, I noticed Dr. Peace attitude which made the visits very uncomfortable. But for any treatment you are made to pay upfront, and since I lived 45 minutes away and already paid I just ignored her attitude. She would not answer any questions unless it was pertaining to what she was doing to you right at that moment.
The hair during the treatments slowed down in growth but was not gone. After the treatments where over the hair went back to its normal growth rate. I explained to her that the hair has remained the same and she proceed to say that I had symptoms of Poly Cystic Ovaries Syndrome, which would cause me to have hormones in which the hair would continue to grow. After being scared I went to 2 DIFFERENT Physicians, with several different series of painful testing, that told me NOTHING IS WRONG WITH MY OVARIES!!! Rather than admit that her treatments DO NOT WORK she would blame my body, and scare the CRAP out of me for a non existent ailment. I WAS PISSSSSSED!
If you are looking for Laser Hair removal THIS IS NOT THE PLACE!!! RUN!!!
LaserAway works, the people are salesmen and are not always the nicest but the lasers WORK for your money!

Dr. S. Peace is an excellent Dermatologist! I have been seeing her for a few years, and she has never failed to exhibit the utmost professionalism, compassion, and insight on MY specific skincare needs. She understands that every patient is unique (not all doctors have had this epiphany yet), and will take the time to customize treatment. Her staff is polite & helpful (Thanks Courtney!), and the office is conveniently located with ample parking. Having seen some pretty awful derms in the past, I can say with confidence that Dr. Peace is AWESOME!

When it comes to skin care I am very particular in my choice of dermatologist. Some will over bleach and misdiagnosis your skin resulting in further irritations. Minorities of color must be especially careful not to cause hyper pigmentation. With all that said, Westchester Dermatology is the place to go for stellar skin care services. I have been a client for at least 6 years and not once been disappointed. The staff which includes Dr. Sherri Peace, Valerie and Renee are professional, candid and skilled to give you the desired results. I even love how they breakdown the science of skin so you understand what causes facial impurities. I am a huge fan of the pumpkin peel! A refreshing experience everyone should have. Westchester Dermatology has taught me the importance of having a regular skin care regimen and provided me with tools so that I can maintain this success at home. Their amicable staff makes you feel at home which is the main reason I have remained a client. Everyone is treated like a Hollywood A-​List Star.

Went into Westchester dermatology for a facial. Usually Pena is my esthetician… today I had Renee as my esthetician. They are both great with different styles. It’s crazy because I have a different opinion from the other Unilocal reviewers. I really look forward to going to receive my facial treatments. I have been going to this dermology office for over 10 yrs. no complaints

DR. SHERRI PEACE IS GREAT!
My primary physician recently referred me to Dr. Peace for a growth/​bump on my forehead. Dr. Peace took her time examining me, patiently listened to my concerns, answered questions I had, and clearly explained the options & plans in addressing my bump. I resonated with Dr. Peace’s Exuberant Positive Energy, appreciating her down to earth qualities, where I could communicate & exchange ideas with her.
She makes you feel like you are good friends instead of a patient. That, yeah, I’d like to hang out with her, cause she is relatable, caring, and just a fun Spirited Woman who just happens to be a Doctor.
And to top it off, several days later, I get a follow up call from Dr. Peace to make sure I understood everything from my initial visit, and if I had any other questions/​concerns.
I was thoroughly impressed, as you rarely get calls from a Dr. to just check in.
That speaks volumes to me, and says a lot about Dr. Peace’s character professionally, and personally.
Her supportive staff was pleasant, polite, and helpful.

Dr. Peace also conducts events with special guests in enlightening, educating, and entertaining her community in feeling, looking, and living healthier lives!

The chick at the front desk with the pink/​red hair is rude, unprofessional, short, confrontational. Do not use this office she needs to fire her entire staff and start again. Had to put in a complaint with my insurance company. I had to sign a disclosure three times due to the girl not wanting to make the copy darker on the copy machine, pure laziness.

I almost didn’t go to see Dr Peace because of the negative reviews here, but a friend had been and like her a lot. I’m so glad I listened to my friend and not the Unilocal reviews. I’ve seen Dr. Peace 4 times now and she is awesome. Extremely knowledgeable, funny and doesn’t try to sell you a bunch of stuff you don’t really need. I recommend her to anyone!

I had a surgical procedure and selected Dr Peace for a followup. The day before the appointment I saw these Unilocal reviews and became rather concerned. I decided that a single visit would be fine, as no other dermatologists could see me on such short notice. I wasn’t expecting much, but hey, any port in a storm and I was post-​operative.
I was very pleasantly surprised, and found the office staff to be friendly and professional. When Dr Peace entered and gave me an exam, she was quite pleasant, joked with me and discussed my incision with care and professionalism — even drawing me a diagram of the healing process she expected to see. I was amazed at the entire visit, mainly because of the reviews I’d read here.
A pleasant and professional visit with a dermatologist that I consider to be competent and approachable.
I’m not sure if I just encountered the ENTIRE office on a good day or not, but I was impressed. And she even gave me a manufacturer’s discount card for the prescription she electronically sent to my pharmacy.

Looking for a new doctor. Where do I start, on my first appointment I told her what my problem was and she said no, she didn’t think so. I knew exactly what was happening and so I insisted, she then checked with the right tools and realized I was right. I then had problems with my prescriptions twice, the pharmacy did all their faxing of proper paperwork and called the doctors office but it took days and several concerned phone calls on my behalf to get someone at the doctors office to do something on their behalf. The main girl who answers clearly needs to be trained on concerns patients have and direct messages properly. Please find someone else, I went to her because she was a woman but I made the mistake of ending up needing to find a new doc. Stay away.

I have been coming to Dr. Peace at Westchester dermatology for years. She takes excellent care of my skin. She is full of knowledge, sweet and is willing to share information.
Her skin is beautiful! That’s always a good quality for a skin doctor.
Services here range from medical to cosmetic including laser treatments and facials. A variety of products are also sold ranging from name brand to Dr. Peace’s own skin care line. My favorite is her moisturizer with SPF. Feels good, smells good and doesn’t leave the white ghostly shadow on your face.
I’ve also brought my toddler in to see Dr. Peace especially when I wasn’t satisfied with the pediatrician’s recommendation.
I recommended her to all my friends. And they love her!

I came to Dr. Peace for a second opinion. I read the Unilocal reviews, but she was close and I had already seen her once before long ago, so I decided to meet with her anyway. I was bracing myself for the worst. The first meeting wasn’t so bad. She remembered me, and frankly was nicer than my doctor when reassuring me that I was probably overreacting. To be safe, and to appease my concern, she offered to do a biopsy.
On the day of the procedure, I had to wait lying on the table for 45 minutes. When she finally came in, she did not address me at all, instead speaking directly to her PA. When she finally acknowledged my presence, it was no-​nonsense: «Is it on the right or the left?» No smiles, no reassurance, nothing. The entire procedure took less than 60 seconds. She was out of there just as promptly as she came in. Later, she did not even call to follow up — she sent a letter which stated the results. (Luckily both doctors were right and there was nothing to worry about.)
I think some people go to a female doctor because they expect a level of TLC. You will not find that with Dr. Peace. She may be *technically* good at her job, but ignoring the human factor involved with medical issues makes you *effectively* bad at your job. I can’t imagine how distressing her demeanor would have been if I actually had a legitimate scare to face.
My advice: Find Another Doctor.

After having to take my daughter to Dr. Peace and her immediately knowing what was wrong with Kanani’s strange condition, I came back to her about 6 months later for a strange rash I was getting. She is not only friendly and nice she is very good at what she does. Her staff is helpful as well.

I have never been treated so rudely in my life!
I had an appointment to get a freckle removed, and I let her know that I am very afraid of needles. Dr. Peace walked in (30 minutes late, by the way), and whips out the needle for the anesthesia. I, of course, panic, and instead of attempting to talk me through it, this awful woman simply walks out, saying «reschedule.» After giving her 30 minutes of my wasted time, the woman wouldn’t even give me 5. I thought about rescheduling, but I have decided instead to take my business elsewhere, where real doctors know how to treat real patients.
I wasn’t surprised to find out other reviews of Dr. Sherri Peace have been scathing. I wish Dr. Peace nothing but the worst. This woman ruined my day and I cannot wait until her practice is revealed to be nothing but a money-​making scam.

Her «bedside manner» needs work, and the follow-​up sucked. I saw Dr. Peace about a year ago, by referral from my regular doctor when I was concerned about a mole. I was pretty scared, since this was the first time I had found an abnormality, so naturally I was hoping for a gentle, caring doctor to soothe my fears. No such luck. I wouldn’t say she was mean, but I definitely felt no warmth. She advised me to have the mole removed for a biopsy and I agreed. After the procedure, I felt woozy from the adrenaline and stress. She and her staff weren’t much comfort; she mostly chided me for not eating enough beforehand. Sigh.
But it gets better. They promised me the results of the biopsy in about 2 weeks. After an increasingly nerve-​wracking 3 weeks, I started calling and asking about my results. Hello, we’re talking about cancer here! I kept getting excuses from the staff, and no results. Finally (about a MONTH after the procedure), I found out that the doctor had my results and was looking them over. She then called me back 2 or 3 days later to let me know they were fine. Thanks for all the unnecessary stress, doc! Anyway, the next time I needed a referral to a dermatologist, I specifically asked for someone (anyone) else.

I’ve had several negative experiences at this dermatologist’s office.
Dr. Peace has a nice personality in my opionion however, I will admit that this office is MONEY-​HUNGRY and doesn’t really give a hoot about their patients.
They make me pay for services in advance and then the doctor rushes through the appointment. They have even billed me by mail for services that I pre-​paid for.
Would not recommend to anyone.

DO NOT make an appointment to see Dr. Sherri Peace!
She’s unprofessional, rude and incompetent.
When she couldn’t answer my questions on how to treat my acne, she became belligerant and told me that she couldn’t help me.
She recommended me to another dermatologist in her medical building.
My experience with her was so troubling that I reported her to my health insurance.

Worst dermatologist ever!
Her last name is deceiving.
Mean, rude, classless, and money-​grubbing. If you want a derma who actually cares about you, look elsewhere.
