History

Established in 1999.

Paul was one of the first to do natural light photography for headshot, his clients have included, Juliet Landau of «Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to Amy Adams, Jim Caviezal, Peter Facinelli, Toraji P. Henson, Tim Daly, Josh Bowman, Adam Scott, Kristen Bell, Dax Shepperd. Up and comers like Natalie Alyn Lind, Claudia Lee, Beau Mirchoff. Actors on the way up seem to find him. He started out shooting rising stars, and he still does.

Paul is an artist, a story teller. His eye is his gift. He can see the best in you, On the exterior as well as the interior, and he has been capturing that for 25 years. The thing is he has remained cool! Always looking to the future. Social media pics being the newest direction. While always giving you the best headshot possible.

He was a musical theater major in college, did hair and make up for fashion shoots for many years, was a scout in New York for Elite Mode Management, managed children and young adults for many years, then found his calling is shooting actors headshots.

Having headshots done is usually a painful and exhausting experience for me. I’m always worried that my hair or makeup won’t be right, either too light or too heavy, my hair is always in my face, and I always think I’m just not going to take good pictures. Shooting with Paul Gregory was an absolute pleasure and he is now the only photographer I want to shoot with! I won’t go to anyone else! I was at ease from the minute I walked into his studio, which is gorgeous, BTW! He is a master of composition, lighting, angles, everything. You’re not going to get a boring, posed shot in front of just a different colored background. My agent and I were so happy with how many great pictures I got! He did my make up expertly and flawlessly, my hair has NEVER LOOKED BETTER and he’s so quick at restyling for each look. He is TRULY AMAZING! I can’t say enough good things! Thank you Paul Gregory for making me look so good!!!

Paul Gregory is not only an excellent photographer, but a wonderful hair and makeup stylist, as well. It’s rare for me to be overwhelmed by the amount of great, usable photographs when I’m looking at photographs of me, but that was my experience. So many to choose from! My agents loved the outcome of our session, as well.

Paul Gregory is the CREAM of the Crop, the Crème dela Crème of Photography World. Before the session which is so easy, relax, fun we talked about Paris as he prepped me for the photoshoot: hair & make-​up (so highly recommended since he knows what works) plus the wardrobe choices. Even had some added bonus of tips for great restaurants to go to for my next trip/​date lol. And the best part Paul succesfully took my mind off the condition i have called Hemifacial Spasm the reason why it took me forever to go back the second time. Am glad i went ahead and had the courage to do so and with Paul’s sweetness & TLC it was a success!!! Let me start off by saying that I hate getting my picture taken. I always feel self conscious and like I’m forcing some smile or emotion, which is usually evident in the pictures. This has always been the sad case until this last week when I shot with Paul. In short, the man is a professional. Not just because he takes amazing photographs – which he does – but because he works with and adapts to whomever he is shooting. Don’t get me wrong – I was still an awkward weirdo, but he was somehow able to ask me the right questions, give me the right direction, and snap his shutter at the right moments. Finally my reps are telling me that I have pictures that capture my personality and essence, instead of just smiling or posing for a picture… or looking like I’m contemplating suicide. Thank you Paul! You are magic.

I have never been so happy with my headshots! Paul put me at ease right away, he’s super friendly and easy to talk to, which I felt helped me loosen up (as headshots aren’t my favorite thing to do!)
I had Paul do my hair and make-​up, something I’ve always done myself for headshots, so I was a little nervous about «not looking like me» but I needn’t have worried, Paul knew exactly what he was doing and I actually took the names of some of the products he used on me so I can buy for myself! I can be very picky (sorry Paul) but Paul understood what I wanted and helped me achieve the results beautifully.
His photography looks classic, and timeless, hands down the best I’ve shot with.
He really knows what he’s doing. Shoot with Paul!

I had a good experience having Paul take headshots for me. His studio is beautiful! He knows hair and make up for sure! Each of the 3 looks were very different and distinctive. He is also a sweet person. He had all the pictures sent to me via Dropbox within an hour of the shoot– however, I was not familiar with drop box and had a hard time figuring it out. I had mixed reviews about the way the pictures turned out. My agents did like them but my manager thought I looked uncomfortable in a few shots. All in all I did get a few great shots!

I love Paul Gregory. And better yet I LOVE MY HEADSHOTS BY PAUL. I shot with Paul approx 10 years ago when black and white and film were still the modus operandi.
Took a self imposed hiatus of 8 years and decided it was time to get back to it. Began my search for a photographer and may I say shopping for headshot photographers is as annoying as shopping for a car.
While I was on the hunt I remembered Paul and how much I loved his pics when he took them years ago. I searched him and voila, was so pleased to find he is still creating his amazing work.
I was able to schedule a shoot promptly and also have a nice chat with him before our appointment. My favorite part, beyond his photographic ability is his hair and make up skill. GET THE PACKAGE. he is a miracle worker. I have had so many photo shoots ruined by bad make up and he nailed it perfectly.
The experience was very easy going, and he chats amicably so I was able to keep my mind off of my dislike of taking headshots. By the time we were shooting, I was relaxed and it was easy.amazing. Paul is a great artist and the finished products are marketable and so useful. and I got multiple choices out of two looks. I am completely satisfied with Paul’s work and will def go back when I need more looks.
PS.must love dogs. his puppy is adorable. but remember you are a guest in the pooch’s home :)
Oh yeah, one stop shopping. he also does fantastic retouching, though I could have used some of the photos sans the retouch. he is that good.

He truly does it all and has not only the experience but a complete understanding of what is current today. This was my first professional photo shoot. And I have to say that Paul made me feel so relaxed and ready to shoot. He is a really down to earth guy with a good heart and a smart eye for photography. This is my second time shoot with Paul and I got AMAZING RESULTS ONCE AGAIN! He’s a master at his craft and a wonderful man. His prices are decent and definitely worth the final product you’ll receive. On top of shooting and delivering your pictures, he will also retouch your final picks! That’s something no other photographer I’ve worked will do for free.
