I came in for my first appointment today. I arrived 15 minutes early. The first sign something was wrong with this place was the fact it’s located in a strip mall. The second red flag was the presence of a security guard. I’ve never been to a doctor’s office that felt it necessary to have their own security guard. I soon found out why he worked there.
A few minutes later a very irate gentleman came in the office and began cursing out everyone and demanding to get some strong narcotic pain medication via IV. The security guard tried to remove him, but he refused and they were both in a shouting match for the next 5 minutes. The man was also using epithets which I personally found highly offensive. Then, after he finally left the building a woman in the waiting room began to regale me with her tales of getting Morphine from this doctor very easily.
Now it’s 20 minutes past my appointment time. The receptionist came into the waiting room with a stack of forms for me to fill out. Keep in mind I was sitting in the waiting room doing nothing for the last 35 minutes. Slightly irritated, I filled out the forms (which contained highly bizarre, sexual related questions). After I brought the forms back to the receptionist (absent any answers to those highly inappropriate questions), she tells me I have to keep waiting while she enters the 20 pages of forms into her computer. At this point, I grab the forms back, tear them into tiny, tiny pieces, throw them into the air and declared «That’s it! I’m f’n outta here!»
I have never been to a more shady, unsafe, unprofessional doctor’s office in my entire life. Needless to say, I have started the process to find a another doctor.
