I got stuck in the rain waiting for the UPS store to open. Went inside for a quick breakfast and to kill ~30 minutes.
The man working at the front was nice enough to give me my meal for free after I told him… Friendly gesture and great business move. Aka I’m posting about my nice experience on Unilocal — I’ll definitely be back again :)

Tried Paris bakery again recently. All the pastries were fresh and delicious. The store itself is a little run down and sad looking, but as long as it doesn’t affect the quality of their pastries, I’ll be a returning customer.

If you’re casually walking down Westwood Blvd. and suddenly find yourself having a sweet tooth… STOP!!! Head to the Paris Bakery. Great cakes and breads. It’s a little gem in Westwood if you’re craving something sweet.

I was craving good French croissants, so I was excited to find Paris Bakery assuming an original place. I ordered chocolate and almond croissants. They are doughy close to sandwich bread rather than crispy croissant. That means they are using margarine or cheap butter. Their almonds, are almond paste extract. Very disappointed.

Lovely little cakes for less than $ 2.00 each, so fresh & light but flavorful!

It took over 1 hour thirty five minutes to order a cake, only to find I was misinformed and not receiving what ii asked to order. The manager when attempting to correct had a short attitude and still half listened to what I was asking. I cancelled order altogether. A total waste of time headache that was completely unreliable for an important say.
It cost me in time and energy 20 cakes worth for nothing.

Their cronuts and almond cake. My family (of about 60 people) love it and always ask me to bring them back these treats.

Stopped by finally! The place was empty except for one customer, but I still had time to browse. Nicely decorated interior with a great selection of cakes and pastries.
I ordered the Grand Marnier mini cake and a variety of Macarons. The cake was rich and not too sweet, a mix of chocolate coating, soft cake, and flavored cream.
The Macarons were very flavorful but some of them seemed old and chewy. The Chocolate was the most disappointing in that respect. The Earl Grey one had an amazing bergamot taste and a beautiful deep green color to it. The Vanilla was by far the freshest and most flavorful — I wish I’d just ordered all Vanilla!
The employee working was friendly, and since it was so quiet I stayed and read while enjoying my purchases.
Like other reviewers have noted, there doesn’t seem to be a bathroom for customers.

Most of their cakes are very delicious if they are freshly made, and just ok if not. It is ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ possibility to buy very fresh or not so fresh cakes and Macaroni there according to our experience. But I’m dying for their almond and other croissants and bear claws which always are incredibly delicious and just baked!

Really great pastries and service.
I’m a local customer and come in frequently with my 3 y.o. daughter. Every time I come, they give her a free cookie. Friendly employees too.

Only thing needing improvement is the espresso game. If they stepped that up, they’d be the most legit café on westwood blvd.

I stopped in at the Paris Bakery the other day after lunch around 12:30pm. My grandma has been a big fan of the bakery for years and suggested that my girlfriend and I stop in and pick up some treats for the rest of my family. Both the outside of the restaurant and the interior are both very cute and French themed.
The interior is quite large with a nice seating area and the selection is very extensive. They have variety of different types of pastries, desserts, donuts, and breads, although there was a lot of products were sold out. Many of the display cases were unfortunately fogged up, so it was a little bit difficult to see certain items. I ended up ordering four macarons, a custard filled «kronut», an apple tart and a chocolate raspberry dessert.
While I do not think they compare to lette, the macarons at Paris Bakery were solid and the flavors were good. The apple pastry was alright, but seemed a little bit old; the apples were tasty, but the bread seemed a little bit chewy. I cannot comment on the chocolate raspberry dessert (besides that it was pretty) since I didn’t have any of it, but I thoroughly enjoyed the kronut. The kronut was flaky and the custard inside was light and creamy. On the outside, it wasn’t very appealing though and looked a little bit overcooked. I was skeptical when ordering it, but my girlfriend wanted to try it.
Prices were fair ($ 15 total), but the service was pretty mediocre. No one was especially friendly and despite having three people behind the counter, we had to initiate in order to get help. In addition, the seating area has a door that is very clearly a bathroom (and in the Unilocal comments people say that they used to have one). My girlfriend really needed to use the restroom and asked if she could use it, but the employees told her that there was no bathroom and that she would have to go elsewhere. It is one thing if you don’t have a restroom, but it is another thing if you have one that isn’t for customers and lie about not having one at all.

I have going to Paris Pastry for 20 years. What you will find are desserts of Excellent quality, and are consistency delicious. It’s the sure thing. They also have great quiche, muffins, and bread.

Endless selection of mini cakes priced fairly at just under $ 2. One prettier than the next. I went with the caramel apple cheesecake and it was light and tasty, a perfect tiny sweet treat. They do not travel well or hold up in the heat so plan of eating right away or keeping it in the fridge. Service is nice, they have a great selection of pastries and breads. While not the best I’ve had or crave worthy still a nice bakery in a convenient location. Free parking behind the store.

I stopped in at Paris Bakery because the exterior looked cute and it was 730A and needed a coffee/​pastry fix before my mediation.
Behind the glass casing, their pastries and treats looked really good. But I didn’t want to eat too much before work, and didn’t want to store food in the company auto.
I asked the lady at the counter if the pastries were fresh from the morning and she replied yes, though now in hindsight, I don’t think they were. I had a cappuccino, a cronut and a sausage croissant type of pastry. I asked the lady to warm it and it took her five minutes to do so. It wasn’t even warm when I got it. Mind you, I was the only person in the shop at the time. I believe the rest of LA was still asleep.
The cappuccino was weak, cronut stale and sausage croissant was disenchanting to eat. I saved the rest for later, thinking it may be better as the day wore. Blind optimism I tell you.
Suffice to say, the leftovers went in the trash.

There was a free coffee offer with a kronut, but the staff said the offer expired. Bf and I ordered a miniature coconut pastry. The macarons were $ 1.95 each.
The pastry was delicious. There was a lot to choose from. It also carried fruit cakes for the Christmas season.

Great French patisserie in a place you might not expect one. I’ve had a couple things to eat here, which I’ve loved. There are many things here I merely gawk at, and hope to someday indulge in. It’s like foodporn, IRL.
The croissants (almond, chocolate, plain) are perfect. The small chocolate chocolate cookies are also delicious, and two are just right if you’re trying to be good.
There are breads and cakes and they of course do special orders. Even, yes, cronuts. Though on of the surface, Paris doesn’t seem all that French (the staff doesn’t seem French), yet the treats are all screaming, ‘Oui!’ They are screaming other things, too, like ‘Get In My Belly’.
The staff, by the way, is pleasant, patient and helpful. I’ve come here a couple times to simply enjoy a cup of coffee (don’t forget to ‘check-​in’). It’s more chill and frankly more sometimes pleasurable to be in a quiet-​ish place.
Trying not to get too attached to this gem — too many good things to consider here.

Pretty happy with my custom princess cake order. It was $ 40 for the small princess cake with custom designs and writings, inside is raspberry mousse, custard, vanilla sponge cake
Also tried their pastries, kronuts, croissants, tart all very good, especially the apple tart pastry
Would definitely recommend, it’s my weekly spot now for breakfast pastry and small cakes

I used to like this place but the quality is declining rapidly.
–The two girls behind the counter are more interested in their own chit-​chat than in helping you… That wasn’t the case before. Today the place was empty, 3 people were in line, yet the baristas (?) continued to casually chat while one was drinking her beverage. It comes off as a place where the owner is absent and the staff simply doesn’t care.
–They have slowed down and I don’t think they bake new cakes daily. I used to find a counter full of fresh goodies, now if I go in the afternoon, many things are sold out.
–They used to have a restroom, but I just found out today that it’s no longer for customers. So if you’d like to wash your hands after driving here or touching their door knob or the semi-​clean tables… Tough luck. I guess it’s not for sitting in anymore, so ignore the dozen tables set up.
Their cakes are still pretty good and very cheap, but… Best for quick takeout.
