Don’t judge a book by its cover. From the outside it’d look like your typical liquor store carrying the bland macro brewery pale lagers. But, that is not the case here. They have a lot of 22oz craft beer bombers from CA and all around. Also, quite a few good 6 packs like the black butte porter by Deschutes brewing. A nice stop if you are in the Palms /Culver area.

Great liquor selection. Poor snacks selection. Small, tight, and dingy space. Tiny parking lot. Good location on Venice Blvd. Many great stores in this area next to the liquor store. Non-existent customer service. That about sums it up. I mean, how much can you really write about a liquor store? I did find it odd that the attendant working behind the counter couldn’t even hear my question from near the drinks because he had earphones on(and the tv volume was turned up). I decided to forgo any possible help I needed, grabbed a couple of things and approached the cash counter. He didn’t really pay any mind to me as he mindlessly scanned my items while his eyes were still fixed on the screen. He handed me by change and then took it back because he had to recount it as he had counted it carelessly before. While I was putting the change away, I looked up and maybe two seconds later, he asked it I needed a bag. Look, I’m not looking for a five-start treatment because this is just a liquor store after all. However, you’re wasting my time because you can’t take your eyes off of the tele for two minutes, then there’s a slight issue there. Other than that, this place deserves 3 stars for the other above-mentioned aspects. Will mostly likely be back because my boyfriend lives at the end if the street.

Very good store with quite a lot to choose form having in mind the size of the store. Prices and promo deals are well displayed so as the bottles, brands and other stuff you would regularly order when in need of liquor. Friendly staff, on top of that decent prices and there you go, a place with four stars.

Palm Tree Liquor is exactly as shady as you expect a liquor store to be. Maybe shadier. I’m talking about the mini baggies conveniently located next to the razors they sell, and the characters that can be found hanging outside. But that aside, this is a really awesome liquor store. Their Sierra Nevada six packs are always $ 6.99(they don’t just have Pale Ale either) which is a steal. They have a huge selection of beers from Delirium, to Deschutes, Chimay to Lagunitas, and so much more. Basically I would like to be left alone in their beer refrigerator and drink my way out. The guy behind the counter is really nice, and remembers faces. I hadn’t been in in a month or two, and as soon as I walked in, he asked where I had been and how happy he was to see me again. So despite its somewhat shabby exterior this is a quality liquor store with friendly service!

Hole in the wall liquor stores skeeve me out. I feel like I am going to get robbed if I go late at night, or if I go during daytime, my friends and family will emerge from the shadows and stage an intervention. So typically I am of the mindset to go to Rite Aid or Ralphs to support my 10 beer a day habit. I don’t remember what enticed me to go to this particular store, probably the fact that it was 1:30 and I had just grabbed Subway but I’m glad I did. Their beer selection is killer, they have offerings from Sierra Nevada, Deschutes, Rogue, Lagunitas ANDMAUICOCONUTPORTER. The prices are reasonable, and there’s always a quality craft on sale for 6.99. The guy behind the counter is my friend and is always happy to see me, which makes me want to go back. And I live across the street so go back I do.

Palm Tree Liquor is a better than average liquor store. Four stars rather than three due to their beer selection. Any liquor store with a Delerium poster on the wall is ok in my book. They have primarily what I would call your«standard» craft brews — Stone, Rogue, etc., plus also some of your«standard» fancy Beligans — Delerium, Chimay. An overall good selection of 22’s. Last time I went i was AMAZED that they had Left Coast Brewing Hop Juice, as left coast is a small brewery that mostly brews for Oggi’s Pizza. I’d never seen it retail before(although I’ve seen it since). I ask the man at the counter, «Wow, Left Coast, how’d you guys get this?» The guy looks at me with a blank stare and shrugs. –1 for not knowing what beers you have, or being at all friendly. But I will be back.

Palm Tree Liquor earned these three stars for having a great beer selection besides being a dingy-looking liquor store. It definitely looks like a liquor store, like a place where gang members meet for drug drops. The Indian guy who works there is really nice though, and even gave me tips on how to age my Stone IRS. You can get Avery, Rogue, Stone, Delerium Tremens, and Unibroue in either 22 oz or 12 oz. Great selection in the Palms area. I’m glad to know I can walk down the street and get a good beer whenever I want, especially after a trip to Gaby’s. I plan on coming here whenever I’m in the beer mood.

Good people. Large selection of Mexican and American beers, but not enough micro beers and European beers. Good choice of wines and chilled ones if you like that. Best liquor store in the Palms area.

I live a block from here and this is where I go for all my booze! They have a really good selection for a local, hole in the wall liquor store. All kinds of wines, the whites are kept cold so it’s a great stop before a party. They have an awesome selection of beers and micro brews, Flying Dog being one of my faves. 1 star lost for the creepiness factor of some of the customers. But the guys that work there are cool and not as creepy as they first appear.
