LOVE PAINT AND SIP!
I experienced Wine & Canvas for my first ‘paint and drink’ experience about 2 months ago and while my friend and I had a great time, I was bummed that it was not BYOB. You had to buy their drinks and they were ridiculously expensive, (I think I paid $ 12.00 for a margarita, not including his tip, and it was basically a glass of sweet and sour with a splash of Tequila-​not the other way around.)
I went to Paint and Sip 3 weeks ago with my mom and I was a surprised that the room was more like a paint studio room, much smaller than the Wine & Canvas, and it held half the amount of people. I liked that it was cozier and I felt very comfortable as soon as I walked in and was greeted by the teacher for that day, Tamara. It is BYOB and we brought a bottle of wine and some snacks. I liked that while the class is normally supposed to start at 5pm, Tamara waited a few extra minutes for some late-​comers, which I thought was pretty nice. Tamara took us through the painting at a great pace and was very sweet when any of us had questions. I liked the music we had playing in the background and we had a great time. I came back the next weekend with 3 other girlfriends and was impressed that the owner of that location, Brandon, made an attempt to say ‘hello’ and chat with me a few minutes before the class started. He was extremely polite and just wanted to be sure we had all our questions answered. He made sure that we all received punch cards, because every 5 classes you attend, you get a free class. Awesome!
Parking was $ 8 bucks, valet.
I am SO coming back.

It was a blast. It was a full class but that didn’t hinder the fun. If you enjoy drinking and/​or letting your creative juices flowing, I recommend this place.

Overall we had a great experience and would definitely come back!

Always fun. No matter the supposed talent level when you walk it, it is fun and you walk out with your own art.

I can’t recommend Paint & Sip Studio LA more highly! I hosted a co-​ed birthday party this weekend and it was so fun! Brandon was incredible — from being soooo flexible and accommodating to my every need to his excellent and fun instruction. Plus, he remembered virtually everyone’s name in the room — it was amazing.
Paint and Sip would be an excellent activity for birthday parties, showers, team-​building, etc.
Don’t look any further to any other company — just go here!!!

I just had my 28^th birthday party here this past weekend and my friends and I had A BLAST!!! Tamara was a very chill, patient, and fun teacher. We blasted the Spice Girls, drank wine, ate, and painted. We all had the best time and setting up the private event with Brandon was very organized and simple. I already signed up for another class with the gift card he gave me for my birthday! :)

OMG so much fun! I will definitely be back to paint and sip. I mean who doesn’t like BYOB and painting?!
Got the groupon and went on a Friday night as a Bday/​late Christmas gift to our boss. She loved it as well and wants to rent out a session for our team Christmas party next year. Our instructor Tamara was super sweet and the painting we did was easy to learn.
Tip: You can pick your night and painting on their website calendar. Also they offer to open your bottles for you so no need to bring a cork screw.

After purchasing Groupons around Christmas time, my co-​worker and I brought our boss here this past Friday (3÷11÷2016). We loved it! The atmosphere was very casual and friendly, the pace was quick (but not too quick for an amateur like me) and overall I felt very comfortable.
I have done a paint & sip evening before except it was held at a restaurant. I really enjoyed this type of location much better — BYOB is definitely preferred! I also like that there is an organized calendar online with details on the actual painting for each session, along with each night’s current availability. I’m sure other places that offer this activity also have a similar type of calendar, however I do not take the little things for granted!
I do wish that the attendees were able to help with the music selection, however I understand it is hard to please a room full of 24 people.
I will definitely be returning soon!

What a night! This is one of the most relaxing events that I’ve been to. The instructor Tamara was amazing, made everybody feel great about their work.
All supplies are included just bring your favorite bottle of wine, even a little snack if you’d like. Make new friends and impress yourself with a piece of art.
Will definitely return!
They even offer private parties! Would totally look into that!
Parking is available right next to the building. ($ 8 valet). Street parking is also available right in front of the building.

We found this place on Groupon while searching for a place to «Paint & Sip» for my birthday.
It was our first time. My Mom, daughter and I went. Brandon was awesome as well as the other guy who was our instructor that night (I forgot his name after our first bottle). However, Brandon was great at remembering his customers names as he walked around the room to be sure everyone was alright or if they needed help. VERY ATTENTIVE!
The atmosphere was great, music was POPPIN’!!! I’m an 80’s baby so I was REALLY in my zone which also helped get my creative juices flowing. They supplied everything we needed except our BYOB, but we were also allowed to bring snacks.
These two guys were just amazing and made our experience the BEST!
My Mom can’t wait to make a trip back down from Arizona specifically to go back to Paint & Sip L.A.

I’ve attended painting classes here a few times (I have five paintings adorning my walls to prove it) and it’s always such an excellent experience. I feel like a pro. As the name implies, you’ll be painting and sipping on whatever BYOB that you bring in. The class size is fits 24, assuming it sold out, which is manageable enough for the instructors to go around and talk to everyone. Brandon and Lisa have instructed the classes I’ve attended and they’re so great! They teach with such finesse and they’re very helpful with any questions that the students may have. There are different painting options to choose from, so make sure to consult their calendar.
Most recently, Lisa was teaching the class an abstract painting from her own repertoire and it was very fun. I think it was less intimidating for the first-​time painters to attempt something abstract as the interpretation doesn’t have to be so literal. A good ice breaker for those who are inexperienced.
Whenever I want to get together with friends, I suggest a paint class. This is such a fun experience to share with friends, a loved one, a date, whomever, because what’s more «let loose» than painting while having a few glasses of Cabernet?

I have gone twice, so far, and love this experience! I had never painted before and it was much easier than expected. I love that there is guidance but your free to really make your painting your own. I look forward to going again and I’m hoping to bring this to a team building day with my coworkers! Thank you Brandon and Lisa for fun times! Look forward to painting with each of you again!

This was my First time painting since kindergarten i thought this painting was going to look like crap because it’s been soo long and I finished my bottle of wine before the first paint stroke. TAMRA (sorry if spelled wrong) is a great artist/​instructor the painting was very easy with her instructions. She makes you feel welcome, class was fun and her music selection is pretty dope! I will most definitely be attending another event!!!

Exceptional first paint & sip experience!
I got a Groupon deal, $ 40 for 2, which was a great deal, since it’s usually $ 35/​person! They also have their business deals for Wine-​Down-​Wednesday and 2-​for-​1 Thursday. (Groupon can’t be combined with business deals.)
It’s a tiny studio located in the same building as a marijuana medical clinic, on the second floor. I know, I was lost at first too. There’s metered parking off La Brea.
Everything is provided for you; apron, paint, brushes, canvas, wine glasses, EXCEPT for wine. It’s BYOB!
I’m a newbie when it comes to art/painting…I mean, my drawing consists of stick figures. Our instructor Brandon was very enthusiastic, upbeat, and interactive. He walks you through step-​by-​step, from drawing to colors used to brush strokes, as well as informs you with a little history of the artist. His pace was perfect for a beginner. Also, he doesn’t discourage you for your own creativity either.
All in all, my night consisted of many laughs and tons of fun! I highly suggest coming here for a fun girls night out or date night!

This is my first time at one of these and I Had a lovely time with my best friend. It was very welcoming the instructor was fun, gave everyone enough time to catch up, they played music and kept everyone engaged.
I had questions like
Will I need my own wine glass or do they provide? A cup is provided and I saw some girls brought their own.
Will they have a bottle opener? Yes they do and you can also bring your own.
Highly recommend a date night with your honey or just friends night.

With the exception of the $ 8.00 parking next door, this place is super cool and I highly recommend. Please offer more contemporary paint events as they are rare, different and hard to come by.

This was a fun and cheap date night for me and my fiancé! We went on a Thursday for their 2-​for-​1 deal ($ 17.50 per person) and we had a fantastic time that I don’t mind going back on a different day and paying full price! Our instructor was Felicia and she’s excellent. She was clear in telling us what colors to mix, which brush to use and the strokes to make. Her pacing was just right especially for beginners like me. I’m artistically challenged and believe me, I almost failed art class in 6^th grade… and my painting came out decent (Well, I’d like to think it is decent!).
Their staff is amazing. Brandon (I think he’s the owner) wasn’t our instructor that night but he went around the room before class started and spoke with us individually for a brief moment. He’s very welcoming and he seems like he genuinely wants you to have a great time. The person checking the reservations (I didn’t catch her name) is also very friendly.
Tip: Its BYOB! We did have a bottle of wine with us but we didnt even get to drink it. we were waaaay too much into painting our subject we forgot we had wine sitting in front of us.
Our class was at 7:30 pm and we arrived around 7:15. We found metered parking and it was for free. Maybe we were just lucky so try to come early to look for parking. There’s a lot beside the building though but I don’t know how much it’s gonna cost you.
Paint and Sip is on the second floor. you’ll also see a barber shop and a medical marijuana clinic. Yes, you’re at the right location.
Take a break from the usual dinner and a movie, or from clubbing, and grab your SO or your best friends and check this place out! Pick a date from their website and don’t wait around to make a reservation! Classes fill up pretty fast.

THis was my first time painting anything and I LOVED it!!! My friend and I had so much fun painting our masterpieces, lol. Lots of laughs and good times!
My friend had bought a groupon for this place and asked if I would go with her, sure why not. I didn’t think I would have so much fun painting my Van Gogh painting.
Our instructor, Brandon is so awesome! He is very friendly and patience w/​the whole classes. He makes it fun and also tries to give individual attention to each person in the room.
Everything is provided for you (paint, easles, aprons, & brushes) just bring the wine of your choice.
I had so much fun that I am trying to get a group of my friends to go with me.
Studio is small but it’s perfect for having fun and painting!

The Studio is a bit smaller than I expected but who cares, its more intimate, i would say? (maand I LOVE the fact that you can bring your own bottles of wine!
The instructor, Brandon is awesome! Attended the Wednesday evening class; started at 7:30 and ended at 10:30! Had so much fun!

I had the pleasure of visiting paint & sip a few weekends ago. I have seen friends post about paint and sips before.
For this particular group outing, it was my sis in laws baby shower and the avenue was actually perfect for the get together. There is a small area in front where the girls set up some food and displays of cute pastries so they are pretty lax and accommodating for your event. We obviously only sipped on non alcoholics, though for myself I should have snuck a bottle of wine, I’m sure some of the other non preggos would have appreciated it haha!
The painting itself looked tough and we were wondering how we would finish in about two and a half hours. Brandon was our instructor and he did a great job of giving us step by step guidelines on how to paint the portrait. He was pretty funny and I was pretty impressed at how well he handled such a big group of us.
We had the baby shower on a Sunday afternoon so it actually worked pretty well. Parking is free and I’m sure any other day would be tough to find because of restricted meter hours and anti gridlock zones.
The painting ended up being pretty easy to paint with the instructions and it’s always cool seeing how everybody creates art differently. Great for big groups and small!
