Formed in 2006, the Organic String Quartet is a professional music group that caters to live events in the Southern California area, including Los Angeles, Orange County, Palm Springs, San Diego, and Santa Barbara. OSQ is well known for the diversity of the music they perform (Classical, Jazz, Rock, Pop and World) and each of the players is well grounded in multiple styles of music. Members of the quartet hold degrees from San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Berklee College of Music, Cal State Northridge, UCLA, and Boston Conservatory, and have worked with many high-profile artists such as Stevie Wonder, Macy Gray, Barbara Streisand, Frank Ocean, Karyn White, Natalie Cole, and more.

Established in 2006.
We’ve been providing quality music in the Southern California area since 2006. The Organic String Quartet has appeared on KCAL9’s ‘Best Of-Wedding Special’, BRAVO’s ‘Millionaire Matchmaker’, as well as a Qualcomm viral video entitled ‘Best Bus Stop Ever-Horse & Carriage Surprise’. We’ve also had the privilege of performing with Nathaniel Ayers, the man who inspired the movie, «The Soloist.»

Alicia S.
Business Owner
Alicia is a musician in the Los Angeles area. She is the cofounder of the Organic String Quartet and manages all operations for the group. She was classically trained on violin and voice since childhood and studied at the Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in Southern Florida for her middle and high school years. She went on to perform with the Gainesville Symphony Orchestra in Florida before moving out to California in 2003. In addition to performing with the group she performs all over LA with various orchestras, chamber ensembles, and does session work for film and TV.
